We found the car we wanted easily on their website, and our salesperson, Jazmine, was quite helpful. However, Wayne, in the finance department sold us on getting the car reupholstered but what we received and the process by which we got it was not what neither he nor the company they referred us to said we would get. When we asked for our money back, they said it wasn’t in their policy to give us a refund, and despite multiple calls, emails, and texts to management at both Hertz and the upholstery company, we were stuck with what we got despite paying for products and services that weren’t rendered. I would only recommend them if you only plan on buying what you see on the lot, nothing more. What you see is what you get no matter what they promise you with their words. If you want anything else, get it afterward on your own.

Absolutely amazing service. I bought my car from Tim. I had my little one with me, who was quite a handful. Tim was so great with him. He let my son sit at his desk, watch a movie on his phone, scribble on some old papers, etc. Fantastic. Next day I came to get my rental and drive it down the street. Being by myself, there wouldve been a lot of back and forth for and and a lot of hassle with the baby. The manager talked with a female employee and she tagged along with me with me in the rental and her in my car so that we could go back together. Both her and the manager were so kind and friendly. 10/10 service with every employee

Jasmine and Marc totally changed our opinion of the car buying process. They were polite, respectful, genuinely interested in our needs and prepared to go the extra mile for us. Our purchase was a little complicated but they worked with us and even stayed several hours after ‘closing time’ to satisfy our needs. No pressure, just consideration. My experience with Hertz has been nothing but positive. When I was in a pickle, they didn’t take advantage of it and helped me out as much as they could. Went above and beyond with even driving me back to DeLand so I could get what I needed. I will definitely be coming back, myself, and I suggest the same to anyone I speak with.

Visited Hertz Car Sales Sanford from Out of State to Purchase a 2015 Hyundai Sontata. Not only did i get the best deal in all of SouthEast but also the best service possible. They were all around very understanding and helpful, providing me with all the information i needed to finish the transfer process and the complicated Out-of-State paperwork. I cant be grateful enough for what a excellent job they did handling everything. It has now been a month and the car is running like a dream and is as good as i excepted it to be. They even contacted me to check up on everything and are delivering me extra key fobs they were able to salvage for the vehicle.

After returning home with the car that I purchased at Hertz, I noticed that a sticker had been removed from the windshield which had concealed a 1+ inch crack in the glass. Looking for an explanation, I placed consecutive calls the to manager, Corey, each time leaving a detailed message with an employee. I never received a call back. Apparently, even the most basic standards of customer service are abandoned post-sale; all the more disappointing coming from managment. According, I will inform the Better Business Bureau and others of these anti-consumer practices.

**AS A WARNING TO PEOPLE BUYING FROM HERTZ** Buying the car went smooth, but after I was informed that because of the recent bankruptcy of hertz they didn’t know when they would be able to pay off my trade, so I’m now paying for the car I traded in and the car I bought from them. After talking to the manager I was told that they would have to wait on the bankruptcy to process to pay off my car. So I’m paying two car payments with no definitive time frame for when they will pay the one I traded in off.. ive been told that this is happening to many people yet there still selling cars without letting buyers know that they will be responsible for the monthly payment of their trade And the car there buying until the bankruptcy smooths over...

Jeremy and Staff gave me the red carpet treatment. Competitively priced below Kelly Blue Book with no baloney. Great condition well maintained. We needed a second key and they were kind enough to make arrangements and have it ready when we picked up. The gas tank was almost empty and Jeremy volunteered to put a tank of gas in the car when we picked it up. Also, it is hard to beat their 12 month 12,000 mile warranty on a used car. The car loan they got us was very competitive at 3.09%. These guys are true professionals!

The Rent2Buy car buying process was, hands-down, the easiest car buying experience Ive had in 40 years. Im really happy with the excellent price I got on the vehicle. My first contact was with the office staff in the Oklahoma office. They were absolutely first rate and did a great job of making feel good early on about the process (especially Bonita). I picked up my car at the Sanford. That was a two hour drive for me (and the only negative). My biggest concern was that the vehicle would be in unacceptable condition, but I was really pleased with the condition. Rodney Biggs handled all my paper work, answered my final questions and got me out the door quickly. I knew before I got home I was going to buy this vehicle. Rodney could not have been more prompt or more complete in preparing the sales docs and vehicle transfer paper work and it was great to be able to do all that via FedEx! Ive already told a dozen people about this experience. Ill be back!

Never had a car buying experience this easy! Saw the jeep that I wanted the night before, got there today right when they opened, now the car is sitting in my driveway. Jesus was our salesman and he was phenomenal, couldn’t recommend him more. Obviously when buying used you’re always worried something might be shady or wrong with the car and I hope that isn’t the case (so far it drives great). The waiting was a little long, probably due to being the weekend but I definitely recommend waiting because it’s worth it. Would definitely go back!

We ended up buying a car somewhere else. Maybe you will have a better experience at this store. We did not enjoy ours.

Everyone was friendly, even the salesman that wasnt selling us the car helped answer our questions. (It was very busy the day that we were there.) The only reason I only gave four stars instead of 5 is because our car basically had no gas in it and we had to stop right away for gas. The windshield wipers need to be replaced, and coolant needs to be added and it seems like this should have been done before selling us the car. We would buy from them again.

This is the most unorganized, unprofessional car sales establishment Ive ever witnessed. They were to send a form (snail mail, theyre incapable of using any time of electronic communication) Friday to be signed for a car I already had approval to buy (and already had insurance on, might I add). Didnt send the form in time because the DMV website was down. Would be sent the next day.. Next day the salesman sends me a text that the car was purchased by someone else the night before. Hard to believe if the website was down, right? Im not even sure if thats legal. This place is disgusting, morally and physically.Also, if anyone has an open lawsuit against them, I would be more than happy to testify to how scummy they are!

My wife and I went looking for a new car after I had to sell my old one. They have an amazing selection, though 3/4 of their lot is Nissan, which is okay. They have an amazing and friendly staff. We were helped by Eugene who was very friendly and knowledgeable on the cars, and I would highly recommend him. There was no pressure to buy, and we left very happy with a new Nissan Versa. If youre looking for a new car, with low mileage and great prices, then go here. You wont be disappointed.

Man I just bought my car here a few hours ago and these people are amazing! My sales rep name was Dave and he was an extremely nice guy. When they say no haggle they really mean no haggle!!! I came in a few days ago but I had to leave in the middle of them doing all of my paper work because I needed to get to work that day. Dave held on to the car for me even though I wasnt able to show up until two days later! The lady who does the paper work and sold me the car was extremely nice as well. She understood that I was a young adult and she definitely worked out an affordable monthly rate for me. This is the 3rd vehicle I purchased but this is honestly the best customer service experience I have ever received. I drove an hour to their Sandford location and I dont regret it at all. They are truly the BEST!..ask for Dave

Looking for a car for my daughter over a weekend, with limited time. Had been looking the whole day, and then came here. Initially, great contact with salesperson Eugene. He seemed genuinely interested in helping us, none of the usual car sales pressure. It was later in the day, so made arrangements to come back following am when they opened, with a definite sale. Upon arrival, we found out that the car was sold. The negative review is not that they sold the car. While we were not told they couldnt hold the car, or I would have gladly held earnest money or anything required. We were lied to about when it sold. We were running late for morning appointment, and both emailed, texted and made contact with Eugene that we were on the way in, checkbook in hand. He knew we had a two hour drive, and said nothing other than Travel safe. The dishonesty came not from selling the car, but from NOT telling us it was gone (sold the previous evening) before we made the drive over. I guess they figured they would sell us something else upon arrival. Would not recommend doing business here. They do have great deals, but if you want a Hertz car, go to the Winter Park location instead.

I had a very positive experience here, which was refreshing compared to some other places I had been. Upon arriving, we were immediately greeted by a salesman who was friendly. It was not like the sharks that zero in on you at the other dealerships. We told him what we were interested in and he showed us around. He has a spreadsheet in his hand where he had to refer to to find the price for each vehicle. We had checked out their inventory online first, so I can say the prices he was quoting were exactly the same. We test drove a number of vehicles and looked at many more. We took up a lot of the salesmans time. He was in no hurry, there was no pressure. He seemed genuinely interested in making us happy rather than making a sale. I was presented with info on purchasing satellite radio and extended warranties if I desired. There was no pressure, I had the literature to take home and do my research. I could get a warranty for up to 30 days after purchase. I came back the next day to get the vehicle inspected by my mechanic. Things look very good, so I preceded to purchase. No surprises with the paperwork. It was very quick and smooth. I will definitely put them at the top of my list next time as we are getting close to needing to replacing a few more vehicles.

Worst customer service ever. When I come to ask about the problem of the mirror. One of the sale guy with yellow polo come and fix the problem. But his attitude getting worst by shutting down the customer by claiming that is our fault. We don’t even know what happen and he shout out to our face “talk to my manager”.Then the manager approached us but he did not see the problem at all (even though 3-4 people I gave the car to check said that the mirror is shaking). My concern is about the safety while driving on the highway and he said that’s is not a thing. Well, either go somewhere else to check or return the car.Hertz’s service is getting worst with employee’s attitude

Bought a vehicle here and within a month had SEVEN warning light indicators on the dash come on. Not covered by the included warranty. When I brought it to a dealership to be repaired also found out one of the wheels had been driven flat and so there was wheel damage and back 2 tires would need replacing to avoid further damage. FYI- I had not been driving with a flat tire in the month I have had it. Honestly, would have rather had the $1,500+ expenses put on the price of the vehicle so I could have included in financed purchase and also not wasted another day+ waiting for the vehicle to be diagnosed and repaired.

Editing my review down to 1 star, they screwed this up. They waited 5 weeks! to turn in the loan draft back to my bank, so I had to get a new loan draft created. Thankfully my bank was nice enough to give me the same rate even though the promotional period had ended. Hertz never contacted me about this, my bank did. Hertz DID contact me about them having me sign on the wrong line on the documents for my trade-in but worded it to sound like I was trying to fraud them out of a car. A car for which they only gave me $100 for.If you have a trade-in, you might want to go elsewhere. I only got $100 for my trade-in and was told it was because they can only put them up for auction and dont have the resources to grant as good a deal as other used car dealerships. They also cant give you any quotes or estimates for a trade-in over the phone.Taxes and other fees for purchasing a car here for $9,995 increased the price to $11,700. Call ahead and ask for the final price after all fees before you compare with other dealerships.Though, honestly I would avoid this place. Ill update my review if anything else changes, but so far they seem to want to blame their customers for their own screw-ups.

Sent inquiry via email TWICE due to an interest in car. No response, TWICE. I work odd hours so yeah, correspondence is through email, doesnt mean its not as important as a phone call. Showed up the first time to look at a car that wasnt even on the lot although advertised as such. Stood around for 20 minutes waiting for help. Said they would get back to me once the car came in. Uh, that was about 2 or 3 weeks ago 🤷‍♀️

I would not recommend going to this dealership. I went in looking for a car with the top safety features and they sold me a car that had over $2,000 worth of repairs for the safety features I thought the car had to work. I reported the issue to the dealership within 12 hours and they would not make it right. I would have never purchased the car without the safety feature. The issue had to have been known because you cannot drive the car without the warning coming on alerting you it is not working correctly.

This review is only for the Hertz Sanford location. If I was to rate Hertz itself I would give a better rating as I like the idea of no haggle pricing and I dont mind purchasing a rental vehicle. However my experience with this location is not great. I visited Sanford location a few times as I was not sure what type of vehicle I wanted to purchase. I spoke to Eugene once, we had a pleasant conversation first time and when I knew what I wanted to buy (a 2017 vehicle with over 70K miles, no manufacturer warranty) I returned. His demeanor has changed since our first contact and not in a positive way. I was still ready to go ahead with my purchase and I wanted to see my options for financing. At that time I was already pre-approved by my bank. Eugene typed in all my information into their system and when finally got the result I was given a piece of paper with a hand written note of the term and monthly payment which was not even close to what I was willing to pay. I had to ask specifically for the actual rate and I was told to sign first and then the finance manager will go through all details. I said I wanted to know what my interest rate was first before signing anything and he came back telling me my rate was 12%!!! Ive never seen that printed on any paper. Then the finance manager came over and told me this was the best offer based on my credit history. This was outrageous knowing that my credit score was over 760. I left and finalized my financing through my bank. I was still interested in this particular vehicle and planned to go back, paying the car right out. Two days later when I called Eugene to ask if the vehicle was still available he told me that he was just about to call me with a great news that the bank came back with 6% offer. How interesting. But this was still higher than my banks offer and I was done with their financing anyways. I told him that I was hoping to make it to my bank (as they dont accept credit/debit cards and I needed to get a cashiers check) and will go back to Sanford to purchase the vehicle. He said he would be off next day and all my papers were locked in his drawer so other represenative could not help me. Which I find ironic since I did not need financing through them anymore. Regardless, the car was sold next day and actually I dont mind. I found a much better deal next door at Drivers Mart, a newer vehicle in excellent condition with manufacturers warranty and half as much miles as the vehicle I was going to purchase at Hertz originally. Oh and you can pay with credit/debit card at Drivers Mart!! Do yourself a favour, if you still desire to purchase from Hertz shop at the Winter Park location, ask for Robert or Frank. I was there a few times just to look around hoping to find a car at that locaton and their demeanor has never changed, they were very friendly every time. Or ask for Jim at Tampa location, he is very helpful.

DO NOT BUY 2013 FORD FOCUS - I bought a Ford Focus from this dealership less than one month ago and immediately experienced transmission issues. I had to find out on my own that this car and 2013 Ford Fiestas have major issues with recalls on the transmission and there is currently a class action lawsuit against Ford for the same issue. Very disappointed that this apparent Certified Pre-Owed vehicle was allowed to leave the dealership with unaddressed transmission recalls. This car should have never passed the certification process.

THE MOST HORRIBLE CAR BUYING EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD IN MY LIFE!!! Called a couple days ago about a car and was told that it wasnt in yet. When informed that the vehicle was in, I went down to Hertz Car Sales that very same evening to look over the car. Stood around for about 20 minutes and no one came out to help. Finally got someone to open the vehicle so we can take a look inside. The seats were disgusting and putrid having stains everywhere!!! When addressed to the salesman about it, he said that they dont have a professional detailer that could clean the seats but it would cost about $45 to $65. Asked the salesman if he could lower the price of by $45, but refused over and over again that he cant do anything about it. Further inspection of the vehicle revealed more hidden problems: floor mats were missing, tire caps were missing, etc. There were major problems as well. The battery terminals were corroded (none of the other cars on their website had a similar problem) which would lead to problems in the near future with starting the car. The back two tires were heavily worn down to the point that it looked bare. Furthermore, the coolant was empty!!!!!!!!! HOW CAN A CAR RUN OUT OF COOLANT AND IT WAS NOT REFILLED!!!!! This would cause the vehicle to overheat and become a hazard to my family. When we requested the 112 point inspection done by the Hertz Technician it was shown to require an oil change and more coolant. I am SHOCKED as to how the vehicle passed inspection at this dealer!!!! The 2016 Toyota Corolla had a listed price of $8977. I had already agreed to purchase the car and would come back the next day to complete the paperwork because the dealer closes at 8 PM. I left the dealer at 8:30 PM. The next day I came in to do the paperwork and had to wait more than 3 hours!!!! It went nowhere!!! Other dealers get you in and out within 1 hour!!!! After the long wait, they finally came up with a final out the door price!!!! The frustrating thing is that it went apparently went up to $9211 !!!!! I was notified of this change after 3 hours of waiting!!!!!!! HORRENDOUS!!!!! I talked to the management team that I had already agreed to pay the price of $8977, but they were unwilling to honor the price!!! Shopped around at other dealers and when their prices went up they were still willing to honor the price. I recommend Simply Auto Sales, Toyota of Hollywood, and Autonation Toyota of Winterpark! They all honored the lower price that I had agreed on even when their price went up!

Initially I felt good about my purchase. It was a friendly transaction. Rodney Biggs was my salesperson and i had issues with my trade in and bad mechanics. He raved about the big inspection (100 point?) they do on all the cars and they do not try to sell you things you do not need. Well three months later, I have a problem that should have been caught in this inspection and I have to pay the $200 to fix it. Who has to go to repairs 3 months after purchasing a car? 12K mile warranty they said. I called him to let him know and he tells me they tried to sell me something that would act as a bumper to bumper warranty and I did not get it. THAT is not true. A paper was put in front of me with options but they did not go through each one and it certainly was not presented in that way. People just do not do the right thing anymore. PER RODNEY, Well we do inspection but they dont really inspect EVERYTHING. Our mechanics dont check things that do not look like they need checking. BUYER beware!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
