Great place to visit! You walk in down stairs and it’s nice and well organized and kept. You go upstairs and turn right, and it goes on. Then turn left and it goes on and on and on.This place is ginormous! Looks of cool things to find.Be prepared to spend some time here and bring a bottle of water.

Such a wonderful store. They have a very wide variety of antiques and retro items for sale. The amount of sale space is amazing. So much bigger then what it looks like from the outside. Pricing is very fair as well.

This is a fabulous antique store. It it is much much bigger than what you expect. A great variety and fair prices. Not a lot of high end stuff but just about everything you are looking for. All I do is antique hunting and have been to over 50 places in NC and this place is at the top of my list. I spent an hour and a half and bought 6 very cool and unique pieces. And the owners are friendly and helpful. Will definitely be back!

I have been shopping at Sanford Antique Mall since I moved to Sanford in 2003 and frequent it often. There building is always filled with wonderful items and it is a total joy to visit. The selection is so varied, the prices are great and the owners are some of the kindest people you will ever encounter. I highly recommend shopping at this fabulous locally owned business.

This is one of my favorite places to frequent in Sanford. Every time I visit, I find something to add to my collection of memories I can hold. The owners & staff of the shop are so friendly and check in frequently to see if I need help finding anything. Large warehouse type antique store with lots of goodies. From glass and pottery to furniture and holiday decor. Very helpful and caring staff. Public restrooms available. Fair prices. Five stars!

I love shopping here! The staff are friendly and genuinely happy to see you. They are very helpful and willing to call the dealer if you want to negotiate a price. The shop has many vendors and more to see each time you go. For my husband and I it is our local shopping therapy spot and we rarely leave without having found some wonderful treasure. It is the location I send my friends and family to when they are seeking a great gift for someone or a unique piece of vintage furniture. When my husband and I were looking at where to live after retiring from the Navy in 2011 visiting this shop the fall of 2010 helped really sell Sanford to us. I hope everyone who visits Sanford visits this wonderful store!

The Sanford Antique Mall is an absolute must visit if you are in the Sanford area! If you are a lover of vintage and antiques this is a place where you can stay for hours simply remembering the past by being reminded of all the items (from furniture to books to kitchen utensils) you or maybe even your great grandparents had in their home! If you are not a lover of antiques you will still love this store as the way it is set up allows you to see so many things! There are steps going up to the second floor but there is plenty even on the first floor to see, and the owners and employees are excellent at helping you find what you are looking for. I HIGHLY recommend this business and I am very thankful that they care so much for the Sanford Community and their mutual support of small businesses AND local non profit organizations!

A good way to kill some time

I have been coming here for years! The fine people at this business always greet you and find time to ask you a few questions. I love coming here to find some gems and showing other friends how cool this place is. Even with all this covid stuff going around. They have done a great job to not only keep themselves safe but their customers. This will be my go to place for years to come and the best part is they do offer layaway.

This is my very favorite store in Lee County. I even take people here who are visiting me from out of area and they love it. I end up spending a couple of hours here every time I go and have never left empty-handed. Thank you to the shop owners for providing this treat for us!

Have shopped at this delightful treasure in downtown Sanford since 2000! The owners genuinely care about their customers. The mall seems endless, twists and turns of great finds. All sorts of vendors with wares from different eras, with something for everyone. Except for an idiot who wants to break the law and not wear a mask during a pandemic. We have been going to the SAM for years and have purchased many wonderful items. You never know what youre going to find there. Another plus to visitng them is that everyone is so friendly and helpful. Its just a short drive south of Raleigh for some hidden gems.

This is one of my favorite places in Sanford. I can spend hours in here just looking around. The staff is always friendly and beyond helpful. John has helped me on many occasions, looking for specific items for my home. I’ve even sold an item to them which was a wonderful experience!

Outrageous prices 😡 went with my fiance for our anniversary and bought three things that came up to $30 some dollars the person owning this store should be ashamed of themselves having prices up that high I feel robbed no antiques should cost that much but maybe $5-10 Im taking my business someplace else and Im never going back there again!!!! 😡😡😡😡😡

Each visit to SAM’s is a new adventure! There is a great variety of antiques & collectibles, displayed in a charming way & priced reasonably. There are always a pleasant greeting by owners & staff, & convivial conversation.

Great place! I love getting my vinyls and vintage Christmas stuff from here. Its a pretty good size and lots to look at.

I absolutely love the Sanford Antique Mall!It looks like a small store from the outside, but its cavernous on the inside with two floors of antiques and vintage collectibles. There is something for every kind of collector and I never fail to find several treasures that must go home with me. The staff are knowledgeable, helpful, and courteous. Especially now, during the 2020 coronavirus pandemic, I appreciate the staffs willingness to go the extra mile to help assure the health and safety of their customers and the community by practicing the 3 Ws. Great selection and reasonable prices! Usually eat the lunch special at the cafe next door during my monthly treks, then spend the afternoon meandering through the myriad of booths. It never disappoints as I never go home empty handed!

The Sanford Antique Mall, people-friendly, veteran-friendly! I have literally spent 3-4 hours at a time browsing all the wonderful things in this antique “treasure trove” on multiple occasions. I always find something to take home 😉 The staff and vendors never rush me, are always so friendly and constantly check to see if I need help with anything. My husband has also had the same experiences with them as well. I am a disabled vet and just recently had my 11th surgery. I was antsy to get out after not being able to walk for a couple of months. So of course, I hobbled my broken self in a walking boot over to the Sanford Antique Mall. The gentleman and woman up front asked me if I needed help getting upstairs or down. Then the lady stopped me as I was about to slowly make my way down the stairs and asked if I needed anything brought down or had questions about anything upstairs, so as to save me a laborious trip down. Thank you Sanford Antique Mall for being so kind, courteous and flexible with us “semi-abled” vets. 😁And thank you for enforcing your mask policy! As a mom of a high risk special needs kiddo, I truly appreciate the extra precautions Abe consideration. If I go into a business that is not requiring masks or enforcing their mask policy, I leave. It is a matter of being careful and considerate of others who are high risk. It’s just being decent human beings, in my personal opinion. Thank you!

I have been shopping here for years and will continue. Jenks and John are friendly, knowledgeble, support downtown Sanford and most importantly now, they are doing their best to abide by the protocols required to keep everyone safe during this pandemic. Remember to be kind as they navigate all the requests from the city and state to avoid being fined or worse, closed. Many of us do our Christmas shopping there. Keep their doors open, please, wear a mask.

Absolutely unique part of Sanford. Antique geeks dream has enough for all. Very cool antique building layout. Located directly downtown in front of a train station and next door to a coffee shop cafe. Not wheelchair friendly past first floor. Clean restrooms and very friendly staff. Great place to get an original gift or go on a date!

I thought about giving this place only one star. However, the actual store itself is lovely and seems to be filled with amazing finds. Upon arrival, I was not greeted and had quite an awkward encounter. Despite some recent family news of hospice care being needed for my father, I decided to pull myself together and go search for some take home gifts for an upcoming event this weekend. I only made it into the first couple of sections when emotions got the best of me and I simply asked a young lady, “Is there a reason you keep staring at me?” As soon as I said it, I felt taken aback...I’ve never spoke out if someone has overly stared their welcome and should’ve not said anything. I was looking at a few things afterwards, and the lady’s father and mother approached me. The mother approached me first but saying, “My daughter has no interest in you, she’s not a lesbian!” I was really taken aback since this had nothing to do with that. Honestly words cannot describe how baffled and disquieted I felt. I tried to ignore them but the wife’s husband cornered me and shoved his finger in my face twice by saying, “You better be glad we’re in a public place.” I told him he was threatening me and I was very uncomfortable. He then proceeded to point his finger in my face again. I stood there frozen, not knowing what to do. I spoke with a man whom I guess was a manger or owner... he basically shoved the issue aside in a roundabout way by mentioning those customers are there every weekend and that if I’m uncomfortable, then leave. I was stunned. How is it ok for a person to threaten someone shoving their finger in your face and yet you are made to feel hopeless and that it’s ok to do those things since they’re regular customers. I really really wanted to look around and see all the neat things in the store. I’ve heard amazing things about the store, even from friends, but sadly I will not return. Once again, I understand that I probably should’ve not asked why someone keeps staring at me but that should not have resulted in being threatened and treated poorly. I will say though, the wife did apologize as did I for speaking out. With that said, I do think the store is very lovely and I wish only the best.

I love coming here, they always have the best stuff. If you find something you love, buy it, because it will probably be gone the next day. I found a beautiful country sideboard with hutch that I saw as soon as I walked in, I was not looking to buy anything that day, but I kept coming back to it, like I was drawn to it. After talking to my boyfriend I decided to buy it, but we couldnt take it home that day and he had to come back the next day to get it. When he went to get it they told him 3 people came in after we bought it asking to buy it. Im glad I went with my instinct and bought it, it is beautiful in our dining room!

Fantastic place to shop. We were applauded when we arrived. If you are from out of town like us you will need all day to see most of the store. So many choices and the size of the building is incredible. We will be back.

This is a well-organized store with the best selection of antiques we’ve seen in the area. We bought a midcentury china cabinet, and had the best experience with the staff. They got it ready for us within the day, and helped us load it safely and avoid damage. We’ll definitely be back!

This is a rambling antique mall with a lot of unique railroad ephemera and brick industry memorabilia. There is a well done Life magazine collection. Everything is well organized. Dont miss some outrageous bargains on mid century vintage dining room sets in the annex.

Love the large collection of booths here. We are. Not serious collectors or antiquers, but it is our go to place when we are on the hunt for something vintage. The attached Cafe is a friendly spot for lunch with a local vibe. Ceramic coffee cups are kept warm near the coffee bar with several flavor selections and a decaf pot for starters and refills. Love the broccoli salad!

I had been searching the internet endlessly trying to locate an antique angel tree topper like my grandma used to have. I couldnt find one anywhere...I happened to walk in the antique mall on Christmas Eve and there she was! The price was very reasonable as well. I was also able to find a couple of thoughtful last minute gifts as well. Love this place.

They have alot of quality stuff to see in a small but charming space. The store is period, with food easily accessible. I needed to use the restroom they have one in the store very neata n clean!

The owner was rude and disrespectful brought an item for him to appraise for me. He acted like he did not have the time of day to talk to me or look at my item. It was later appraised at $300 so it wasnt junk. Last time Ill ever walk through that door.

Have always enjoyed in the past, but yesterday my husband and I went there and the treatment we received from the manager made us feel as if we were an inconvenience, so we left without looking around and went to Cameron instead where we were treated very well and the people did not mind talking to us.

I live 45 minutes away from the Sanford Antique Mall and I visit about six times a year - totally worth the time and drive for me.A great place to take visiting friends and relatives who share a love of antiques since also -- right across the street -- is a small park with a restored, old train and there are other historic buildings and murals to look at in Sanford. There is a coffee store right next door to the Sanford Antique Mall if you need a little caffeine.

If you like being stalked while you browse, then this is the shop for you.My wife and I walked in, made eye contact with a man and woman behind the counter and were completely ignored. I have always understood that acknowledgement of a customer entering an establishment falls under common courtesy and helps one to feel welcome...that set the tone.We started looking and eventually made our way upstairs and fell under the hawkish eye of the man who was initially behind the counter. It was quite uncomfortable to be constantly watched by this man while browsing. My wife and I agree that we felt like he assumed that were going to pilfer something from his shop. Rude.It was suggested to us by a friend and it is a nice appearing antique store with an interesting mix of items, but we will not be coming back.

I love antiques! Who doesnt??? If you are looking for well organized, tons of variety, with very polite and patient staff this is your place. This building is HUGE! The prices arent terrible and they will have sales and small discounts. This is the best antique store in the area. I drove a little more than an hr but it was worth it. I found beautiful antique jewlery ,pottery to display my plants in along w a cotton basket with original stamps in great condition. It also has a sister store two stores down w local artist displaying hand made jewelry, pottery, glass, paintings, jelly, and much much more. Go check it out!!

Always worth the visit...even if it sucks up literally hours of my time every couple of weeks. You never know what treasure you are just not going to be able to live without.

This place is huge and very interesting. Its clean and air conditioned with a little of everything from vintage to antique.

Its a real cool place with so many antiques you cant find in other places around.Store employees are also very helpful.

We go here at least once a month worth the drive nice little coffee shop built in too = bonus.
