If you had to choose only one bookstore to visit in San Francisco, my vote would be for this one. Ive bought Classical Chinese Opera CDs here, very good books of painting techniques, and even a small set of stone carving tools. Located partially underground, near the corner. If the owner happens to read this, thank you very much for the supplies. I continue to enjoy them.

If I could pick a bookstore to live inside, this would be the one! I could spend hours in this store & sometimes do! What a unique, vast preeminent selection of art/design related books inside one centralized location by the ocean! And its so nice & quiet inside.

This is a fantastic shopping experience for Chinese language Book Lovers and language learners. Lots of resources for the latter and works in translation for the former. My single complaint is the current lack of a Cantonese dictionary with Chinese characters. That is a must-have for a Chinatown bookstore catering to Sino-philes. It is not forgiveable that Xi Jin Ping has more shelf space than the Cantonese language in its entirety--in Chinatown! 太不客氣！ Plenty of resources for learning Mandarin for child to adult learners. Books about China, art supplies, and a very friendly intimate browsing space. 很好書店！
