Amazing experience!! The owner or the person there was helping out so much and explained every item there in full detail and gave great advice. Then when I was having trouble with one of the kites I gave him a call and he offered more assistance 100/10 would go again. Great guy!!

I have two air foil kites that I purchased here three years ago. They accompany me wherever my job takes me. Never a dull moment and I thank you publicly for getting me turned on to stunt kite flying.

My favorite store in San Diego. Such a fun shop and you just dont find this kind of customer service experience anymore in SoCal. The kids always have a blast looking at the kites and toys. I always seem to walk out with something myself.

Super cool experience here at Kite Flite. The person who helped us, who I can only guess was the owner, was incredibly helpful and described everything I needed to know to make and appropriate purchase for a kite for my daughter and I. We have had hours of fun and are always looking to see how windy it is outside so we can continue to play. Here are some videos of that fun.

Awesome shop! Super Friendly Staff! I was there some years ago. I was just curious and not into Kites but the owner lent me one so I can go and try to fly it! Afterwards he showed me all the kites and explained me how they work and everything. I was so impressed by this passion someone has about kites and likes to share it! I felt so welcome there and of course I got myself a kite there! Will definately go back there when Im in town.

Absolutely wonderful kite store! Have an absolutely amazing section of single lines, dual-lined framed and foil kites, and revolutions as well!! Excellent stock of Prism and many other smaller easy-to-fly kites. Great store for all ages! Absolutely wonderful staff as well, always helpful and very knowledgeable about their business. I went in and spoke to Jim today. Never considered there were cooler, better-engineered kites than those at Walmart, but Jim provided a ton of great information! I’m definitely going to have to go in and get a Hypnotist next time I’m here!

Stopped in this shop after watching a guy from the shop fly a Synapse kite on the harbor. Theyre experienced and cool old school on kite life!! I purchased a good kite for my husband who loves flying them. Truth: you get what you pay for with kites. $250 later and weve gotten hours of enjoyment without the frustration of cheap kites. Thanks guys!!

This was our second time visiting this kite store. Our first time was on our vacation here in SD last year. We were so impressed with the friendly and knowledgeable staff that we knew this shop would be a definite stop on our list. On this trip, I brought in a Prism kite that I had for quite some time but I had never flown. I absolutely love kites but I am new to the dual line stunt kites and was somewhat embarrassed to admit that I had this really nice kite, but didn’t know how to put it together (especially when it came to attaching the lines/leaders? to the kite). The man that helped us was super nice and really made us feel like we were making his day by allowing him to help us set up the kite (a kite that I had purchased elsewhere). At one point he even said, “This is like Christmas morning for me!” Thank you Kite Flight for your excellent customer service.

We bought a rocket launcher thing but the 5 stars are for the awesome attitude the employee had. I dont know if she owns the shop but she was totally positive and nice to my two little minions running around the shop. You can buy anything anywhere but good customer service goes a long way with me

We went to San Diego and it had a good breeze, I was bummed that we didn’t bring a kite, after taking the midway tour we walked south to go to the other fiery, we saw this cute kite shop, and decided to stop by, the owner (I’m guessing) was there, and was adamant that we took a kite out and flew it right out front of his store, it reminded me off the joy I had flying kites as a little kid.. anyway, great store, great selection, great people.

Wonderful owner just loves his work. If you have time and are looking to buy a kite this is the place to go. He will probably even let you test fly a kite. Prices seemed pretty close to MSRP and the selection was amazing. Well worth the walk for anyone attending an event at the San Diego Convention Center who needs a quick break.

This is a neat place with tons of kites to choose from. From beginner to advanced with everything in between. This is a cool place to check out.

The people here are super friendly and nice. They have a lot of different and interesting kites, and all of them fun. They also have some cool outdoor toys like arm slinkies and cloth frizbees. If you are looking for some fun activities to take on a picnic or trip to the park check this place out, but you better hurry cause seaport village is gonna be gone soon!
