I’m so glad we’ve found Dr. Wan as our family optometrist! We’ve been seeing him for several years now, and this review is long overdue. Dr. Wan is not only knowledgeable of his field, but he also truly cares about his patients. He has great bedside manners and will always take the time to explain everything thoroughly and answer any questions you might have. The whole team is awesome and we especially appreciate Michael, who can often times fix your eyeglasses even when they are a bit of a mangled mess! We have to drive more than 30 minutes to get to Scripps Poway Eyecare, but the drive is completely worth it. Highly recommend this office!

We have been going to Dr. Wan for almost 20 years now. He is always so professional and personable. Even though we live 45 minutes away we still make the drive to see him. Michael has also been with the office for a long time and gives the same great service. If you want great care come here!

Dr. Jay Mashouf is great! My family have been seeing him for years for our eye appointments. Hes super-friendly and knowledgeable. And he wont push any services or products on you unless you need them. The staff are friendly and helpful as well. Im always seen very promptly.

Dr. Keith Wan is great, hes very thorough. My eye exam was quick and painless. I recently decided to get contacts and he explained my options and gave me samples to try out, which was very helpful. He explained everything carefully to me so I felt comfortable with my options. Highly recommend.

I started using this office several years ago and have had excellent experiences there. I use Dr. Mashouf and am very happy with him - he is extremely knowledgeable. The techs there are great too, making it easy to pick out frames from so many options. This office seems to have all the latest technology so that I feel my eyes are being thoroughly examined. I have recommended them to both my daughter and son-in-law and they also have had excellent results.

They were rude by saying they will keep my choice of glasses and I come back 1 week, they never saved anything! Worst service I’ve ever had especially don’t make promise you can’t keep!!!

Dr. Wan is thorough, thoughtful and explains what his recommendations are in a very easy to understand way. This was easily the best eye exam Ive had in years. The frame selection was very good too and his staff was friendly and helpful. Overall, a really great first visit experience.

A few months ago, my wife was accidentally kicked in the eye by our toddler. She was able to be seen right away by Dr. Wan. He was very attentive and ran thorough tests to ensure that her eye was okay. He gave explanations on why he was running the tests and provided excellent care for my wife.On a separate instance about a month ago, my wife had an unrelated eye infection due to a virus she had, and Dr. Wan was able to see her right away and provide treatment that made her eye better.We appreciate the professionalism and attentiveness that Scripps Poway Eyecare provides us. We would highly recommend this practice and their sister practice in 4S Ranch.

Ive been wearing glasses since the age of 7 and contact lenses since 11. As such, Ive met a with number of optometrists and have had many eye exams over the years. I went into Scripps Poway Eyecare in January 2014 for a contacts exam with Dr. Wan, and there is nothing but good things to say about Dr. Wan and his staff. Im quite particular with getting my prescription just right, and Dr. Wan was extremely accommodating to my pickiness. During the exam, he allowed me to adjust the test instrumentation so I could fine-tune the prescription to my exact liking. It was the first time an optometrist allowed me to do this! Additionally, Dr. Wan provided me with multiple types of trial lenses to see which ones I liked the most before deciding which ones to buy. Overall, I would highly recommend Scripps Poway Eyecare to anyone interested in getting friendly and superb service.

I have been wearing glasses since I was 6. I recently moved to San Diego and have been looking for an optometrist. Yelp to the rescue! This place sure does live up to all the great reviews. Dr Keith Wan saw me and I couldnt be happier with my new glasses. Its kind of crazy to think how sharp I see now. Apparently my astigmatism wasnt done correctly in my old glasses but now I can see all the street signs. Keith even talked to me about daily contacts since Im pretty active in sports. He explained everything very thoroughly.

They are friendly, professional, and accurate. Carol and I have been seeing them for at least a decade and will continue to do so. You cant find better or friendlier optometrists than Dr. Mashouf and Dr. Wan.

Update:So two years have gone by and I just replaced my glasses and had an exam. The service is still as described below and I was in and out in 35 minutes. Great!After a string of negative experiences with other optometrists trying to pressure me into non-covered products and services, It was great to meet the really nice team at Scripps Poway Eyecare. I walked into the clinic with broken frames from a basketball mishap and without a blink, the staff spent a good ten minutes salvaging my frames, even though I was not a customer and did not buy the glasses there in the first place. I decided to give them a go and made an appointment for my annual exam. Everyone was really friendly and helpful. The best part, I did not feel pressured into buying anything; rather the staff explained what my benefits covered and how we could best leverage those benefits for the right pair of glasses given that I was not eligible for new frames for six more months. The whole process was transparent and I feel like I received good value on the pair I ultimately chose.Thanks,Dave Gibbons

It was easy to get an appointment, the hours worked well for me because I work and go to school so it helped that they were open on a saturday. The staff was very helpful and even helped me pick out my frames. I am very happy with my glasses and Dr. Bersamina was very sweet and explained everything to me. I would highly recommend them!
