Hands down THE BEST store in San Diego for MTG!!! They provide a safe space for all walks and creeds of people. All levels of players are welcome to play, ask questions, and enjoy this game.They have the singles you need, the majority of supplies and accessories you want, and if they dont have it, they are honest and upfront about it. Also, if you buy a single that becomes banned shortly after you buy it, they wont shaft you. A must visit for all MTG players!

They have Yu-Gi-Oh, Pokemon, magic the gathering, and digimon. I did notice some other table top products as well. The attendant was very nice and professional. They wore all black and has a mask on as well. Thank you guys. It was a nice first visit.

Brute Force Games is hands down the best local game store Ive played at. As soon as I walked in for the first time, I was greeted by the staff and owner and asked if they can help me. I told them I was looking to get back into playing Magic: The Gathering after a long 14 year hiatus. Immediately, the owner Sean walked over to me and introduced himself and began chatting about Magic. I told him my girlfriend and I were looking to play the game and he gave me a couple of starter decks for free and a tour of the space. This was a couple of years ago and since then Ive kept coming back on a nearly weekly basis to play Magic and hangout. It is the best game store because the staff and owners care. They want all of their patrons to have a good experience and work hard at providing that. I recommend BFG to everyone.

If this isnt your go-to local game store, it should be. The staff here are all so friendly and helpful. I can always find someone to play a game of commander with no matter when I show up. Love Brute Force!

Very helpful whether youre buying selling or wanting credit first time ever hear it and I was totally geeking out on all the dreams and geeks total place to be convenient kind of tucked away dont know its a hidden treasure very knowledgeable staff some of the best keeps your juices flowing and motivated I was getting pumped up just watching everything go down dont know much about cards and all that but guy at the front desk and the cashier very informative give me variations of where to go how to sell what how to trade what where to go no better place knowledge knowledge knowledge hands down glad I walked in that door.

So good that this is the first time Im actually doing one of these. Great prices on selling cards (in my case MTG). Very friendly, staff is knowledgeable, and the shop looks small on the outside but step in and its large and very well organized. 10/10 will be a main shop to go to from now on :)

A very hidden shop that is much bigger than it appears to be. Events can still be crammed but the environment is great and employees are helpful. MTG single selection is really good.

Love this place. They have raised prices on PKMTCG products but they prices are still better than most places. The owner is a cool dude and is always in a good mood and the staff is always making jokes. Great place and I would love to keep supporting it!Only thing I can say, their online inventory is pretty hit-or-miss. I can look online and see nothing, then they’ll have a few things in store. I hate having to call them to check but that’s the only way to guarantee it. Even then they’re so nice it’s not even a big issue. Support them!

Went in to check the store out... store is on the smaller side, but very quaint and well laid out; plenty of tables set up for playing.I was assisted by Angel. Sean and his crew run an awesome shop, geared mostly towards Magic the Gathering players. Always friendly and offers a lot of great products, including board games, accessories, and plenty of card singles.

Im a fairly casual Magic player, and like to stop in for random drafts for FNM if Im able to. Ive been going to this store since they were over by the Sports Arena, and Im glad they moved to Park Blvd (closer to my work lol).The employees always at least ask if I need help, are willing to have a conversation about products and events even though they dont know me, and also leave me be (sometimes Im tired and dont want to talk) as Im walking around the shop looking for a new board game to pick up. Being able to buy and preorder stuff on their website, and pick it up instore is really nice.I also really liked how they handled 2020 and the pandemic, limiting the amount of people in store and mandating masks. That was very Cash Money of them.

Theyre taking super serious precautions for COVID (one customer inside at a time, and there was only one employee as well) so I felt very safe going into the store. The employee was very knowledgeable and nice and helped me get what I was looking for, and chatted about upcoming releases.

Probably one of the best stores for collectible card games in SD.

My wife and I came to this store first time and only time. This is also my first time in Cali. We walked in with masks and then asked by employee behind counter to step outside so we did expecting it being because of Covid and they must have a max limit of people to go into store. Also, only one person was in the store shopping so I guess their max is one??... Im a fan of MTG and this store has great reviews so I expected the best. Some guy pulls up to store and walks in. My wife and I expected he would have to wait outside too but he was allowed right in. I dont know if this is some sort of discrimination but we were upset and reason why Im giving this place one star. I dont appreciate wasting gas and time to be told to stand outside and not being treated fairly. I truly hope this place can change how they treat people.

This place is fun and lively. They have an expansive collection of cards with a fast system built for buying and selling your cards. They host fun events throughout the week and fun little tournaments. Cant get enough of this place!

COVID only allows 1 person in the store at a time but they were helpful over the phone in finding exactly what I needed and bringing it to me to make the checkout quick. Hours are 1-7pm everyday at the time of this posting.

Love at places best for magic the gathering

I come here to play Magic the Gathering draft tournaments and it’s the best card game in San Diego Hands Down! I’m a beginner and the staff is very helpful teaching me more of the advanced strategies and cards. I would highly recommend to anyone looking to play some card games in San Diego.

Inviting atmosphere to drop in and play commander! Brute Force is great because you can hop on their website via a computer there or on your phone, place an order for cards and their staff jumps on it. Very convinient spot to get some cards and meet new people!

Went to pick up two zendikar rising prerelease kits and I got extra zendikar rising packs for free, I assume since there will be no in person prerelease. definitely cool to do that and I will definitely come back soon for my mtg purchases.

It is a great place to play Magic the Gathering, especially the Commander format. If you play and are looking for cards, chances are you will find some of what you need here. It can get crowded, however they are willing to make room for more players when they can. Any credit earned there is good for any product they sell, so you can spend your event earnings how you want to. I recommend this LGS to anyone who enjoys casual atmosphere and good players.

The people working here have been very helpful in helping me get back into Magic the Gathering since it has been over 15 years since I played. The website is well designed and easy to use for ordering the cards you need to pick up or have them shipped to you. They also have a nice selection of older boosters and accessories for magic and D&D.

They have almost any card you need, great for coming in and playing casual. Only thing I wish they did was have Vintage/Legecy Tournaments

Amazing time! I had my first in store tournament Saturday for the war of the spark prerelease. Ive always been intimidated about the idea of playing in a shop because I dont feel I have the same knowledge or experience as most players I assume do events at shops. Everyone there, staff and players, made me feel like a part of. I never felt like my lack of knowledge was an issue. Everyone was more then willing to help me with my deck, explain how the tournament works, and help me understand cards. I was blown away at how amazing and fun everything was. I went into the event thinking I would have fun and let a bunch of people get some basically free wins from me, but I actually ended up winning because of the help I got with my deck. I am so grateful to Sean for creating a shop with such an amazing and welcoming atmosphere that even someone new like me could come in and have an amazing, welcoming, and encouraging experience. I would highly recommend them to anyone of any skill level. Amazing place!!!

Visiting from out of town checking out local shops. Nice, clean, well lit. Very friendly helpful staff. Great card selection and pretty good board game selection as well. Gameplay area with tables seems nice, although we didnt stay and play any tournaments. Would happily visit again if in back in this area.

I play FNM here every week and met some good friends + lovely people. The people here are not pretentious nor super exclusive. Everyone is welcoming. A great place to play for new people.

Very nice environment, excellent service. Orders are done on laptop stations with full inventory of the stock, and orders are collected super fast. Its like ordering online but instant. Will visit again if Im ever in town. Conveniently located as well, if that is a concern.

My local FLGS. Ive been playing Magic since Revised so Ive been to a lot of gaming stores in my life. Ive never felt more welcome anywhere, period. They know my name and say hello every time I come in. They are amazing. I always buy from them before the interwebs, theyre the kind of people that you feel happy to spend a few more bucks to support.

These guys where great the selling experience here is the most fair experience Ive had and the guys were super patient with me having 3 decks to sell 10/10 would buy from/sell to again

Ive been going to this store every weekend for the past 2 months. I havent had a single bad experience yet. Every employee has been kind to anyone who had a question, or wanted help with some. Singles and packs are offered at competitive prices, Id say if you choose store credit then you get around 75% the tcgplayer value. Since Ive been going, drafts are $11 with each win getting you a free pack. The players have all been great in my experience too. Im not a veteran, so Ive had players help me from time to time, and nobody has been rude to me yet. Overall, its a fantastic store that I cant recommend enough!
