Wish I could give no stars. My friend was told by the owner that he would PAY her to do construction work to help fix the shop. He later decided not to, but our group of friends continued to work there just to be nice and have a fun project. I came in the other day to buy a jacket and see how business was going. I asked where their selection of jackets were and the owner Mike said condescendingly “on the rack, it pretty obvious”. I love how we did two weeks of slave labor and he can’t even show me a jacket for which I am a PAYING COSTUMER. He is disgustingUpdate: he is harassing me trying to get this review removed

Really disappointed. I’m a huge fan of thrift shops and I’d heard great things about this place. First impression while walking in is that it strongly smelled of weed like someone was smoking in the shop before opening. Also a lot of it was just overpriced junk.

2019 July. Humble Heart thrift store moved to 4967 Newport Ave., Suite #14, Ocean Beach, CA 92107; from 531 16th St, San Diego, CA 92101, (Downtown, San Diego).--2019/01/23. Large book collection/stock! One of the largest book stocks in thrift stores where Ive been (similar to thrift book stores) (I check many local thrift stores & library book sales). On shelves in room filled with shelves. Mostly not organized, so to find what they have you may need to browse a lot; some sections seem related items (possibly because donated that way, or some similar items go towards a section).Low cost, like thrift stores usually are.Donations, so random stock. Still, a great variety, some popular popular items (in their day in some cases) or popular interest. Ive found a few of my top preferences, including rarer, hard to find, or out of publication; mainly by browsing a lot (most or all the stock, at least in parts over time).Decent thrift store option (other than the big chain companies). I like it, mainly for books. They have special sales/discounts on specific days of the week; check their Web site/page or social media pages/profiles, or signs on storefront (or photos).Since stock is donations, they can have new stock anytime, random. Interesting what shows up occasionally.Small parking lot in front, free. Basically 1 row of spaces in front of store, a few. They prefer you dont shop with bags, & they compensate/accomodate by providing small-medium lockers & locks for temporary storage.Electronics devices. Mostly older, working condition unknown.Media recordings (vinyl records, tape cassettes (audio, music, VHS), CD, DVD, etc.). Mainly older. If looking for rare or out of publication, then may find something here.

Cool location by the beach, friendly staff but honestly a pretty boring thrift store for the size of the place I thought theyd have a better selection on items the place doesmt seem to get in items that change frequently, my girl friend found this cool fanny pack and asked the worker to go a couple dollars cheaper and he was stern on price, not what id expect cosindering a place that is dontation based. Love the name, but dont feel ill well return.

An excellent place to look for any item you might need or not need! Very kind and friendly staff will make your visit worthwhile. The place is much larger than it appears from the street view. Recently bought a few items wherein I got a better price by combining them for one price. Easy to work with Paul.

I love Humble Heart Thrift! Its a bright spot in East Village, where you can always find something interesting or valuable for next to nothing! In fact I typically will pay more than they tell me theyre charging, because these people are a friendly Oasis in East Village, and I hope theyll be around for a long long time!

Humble Heart is one of the best thrift stores I have ever shopped. They have a wide selection of clothes, electronics, music, movies and furniture. And they have the best thrift store prices in town. The store is very clean and the staff is friendly and helpful. It may not be the best neighborhood in town, but they have private parking, so it is definitely worth your time to check out Humble Heart.

This thrift store / charity was a lot of fun and the service was exceptional. They made some calls to help us find what we were looking for, then opened after hours just for us to find it!It also seems legit as a nonprofit. Unlike Goodwill which pays high salaries to the top brass, this place is doing a lot of good.

I just moved here and live close to this thrift store so thought I would check it out. It is really great. I was greeted warmly by people as I walked in the door and the volunteer working at the register had a heart of gold. Its a really hip and neat place and I really enjoyed my experience!
