Lemoncello cake really good, would have stayed and ordered more but too much cigar smoke even inside from the cigar bar next door. Went next night and was better so ordered savory crepe -AWESOME Veal ragu Bolognesewith bechamel and Parmigiano, and great dark chocolate Gelato, but lemon Gelato to bitter.

Dont be fooled by the name! We were in the mood for Gelato and Chocolate Creamery was suggested to us. Will definitely be back!!!. Full menu is amazing and the customer service is very friendly and welcoming ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I went there to buy chocolate mousse paid $12 for it. I got a bag and left the store. When i opened it, it wasn’t chocolate mousse it was a cake. I went back to the store to let them correct and i told them it’s not chocolate mousse. They told it’s chocolate mousse. I told them it’s a cake and they insist that was chocolate mousse. After someone came and explained they don’t have chocolate mousse but the cake and offered me something else. I looked to the products but didn’t want anything else. I asked for a refund and they refused me because of their mistake. I just left without getting anything. I’ll disput that but can’t believe me eyes. They just ripped me off. Unbelievable!!

This is a really nice shop. The service was great. Our server was very friendly and skilled. We got the creme burlee and it was delicious with great presentation. A bit expensive but thats par for the course in gaslamp and quite honestly worth it.

Ordered tuna crepe. Kept me waiting while looking for tuna. Then when they didn’t find the tuna I asked for a refund. They would not give me a refund and instead kept looking for the tuna.

Such a good place to enjoy a coffee, pastry or ice cream. Excellent service and nice environment to sit down and relax. You must have the creme brulee or the mango ice cream!

The gelato was amazing!! Got what we came for. The vibe could be improved upon slightly (maybe a little cleaner etc.) but it is what it promises to be: fantastic gelato and beautiful desserts. I can recommend the dark chocolate and espresso coffee flavors.

FOUND A LONG BLACK HAIR INSIDE MY CREPE!!! This place is dirty! The cashier touch money and everything and then go cook without wash his hands or put some gloves! VERY UNSANITARY! Go somewhere else if you don’t wanna get food poisoning.

Wow! This is one of those magical shops that you stumble upon and dream of returning to. The Gelato and the crepes we had after a Padres game helped to console us after the frustrating loss. The staff here is as amazing as the food. Beware, this place will become your new addiction!

Came in July 2020 looking for gelato. The cafe is nice and they have a few tables outside. The offerings looked a bit old and you can tell they haven’t had much business. The service was ok, but not great. My gelato was actually quite good (pistachio). But the server filled the cup in a way that it got all on the outside rim and exterior. It ended up being a mess! Prices seemed a bit high, but maybe that’s the average price in the area.Unfortunately, even during the worst of times, there were a few things they could have done to improve. Hand written signs, dirty tables, dried old pineapple in the gelato, and poor customer service. There was also a non customer working or studying outside, using their table, and listening to music. The server never came outside to address it. His music ruined the atmosphere.The next time I want ice cream or gelato I’ll go where business is conducted in a more professional manor.

This is my favorite gelato shop in San Diego. Their chocolate/dark chocolate is so rich and their tiramisu is 👌 the staff is friendly, the store is clean and there are SO many options to choose from. This is the place I go to treat myself and the ~only~ reason youll catch me downtown for anything other than Comic-con, I will drive all the way from Alpine just for this cup of gelato.

I asked for a sausage pizza with no toppings and the guy gave me a sausage with onions my son did not even not 1 slice & nobody ate it. The crepes were not good at all they didn’t put no sauce or nothing I’m very disappointed in this place I do not recommend to nobody the crepe had no flavor no sauce! I usually go down to La Crepe Shop in North Park and there full of flavor and so delicious

Amazing, delicious and decadent gelato! A must. I had the Nutella Cream and Dark Chocolate. They let you try samples before deciding. The flavors all look delicious, so youll need a few samples. I tried the cheesecake and the sea salt caramel, both were amazing.

While the dining area wasnt upscale, it was comfortable. The food was interesting and good. It was freshly prepared and flavorful. There were many flavors of gelato as well as a nice selection of sweet crepes. Definitely going back to try other items. I tried the mixed berry and dark chocolate varieties. Both were wonderful.

I love this place! Wonderful gelato, good coffee, awesome sandwiches. It seems like one of the few places in the gas lamp to find easy, excellent vegetarian options. Staff are very courteous. I try to come here every time Im in San Diego. Someday Ill try the crepes. :)

Venue is too expensive. The slices of dessert cales are way too small for the listed prices. The gelato they have is not worth the price, your better off going to Little Italy for cheaper price and better quality.

Lovely service and fantastic savoury crepes. The veal ragu Bolognese crepe in bechamel sauce was amazing. The sausage and pepper one was like a pizza. Gelato was creamy and of course you can taste test before making a decision. The people are very kind and they see travelers from around the world. The cafe setting is cozy but not too cramped. Good central location and local restaurant staff seem to open in often too.

The cannolis are amazing, the kids loved the gelato! And the staff was so helpful.Even on a BUSY Friday night!

I went in today and got a chocolate hazelnut cake. First of all the price was $12 which is way too high but whatever if it tastes good that’s all that matters right? They went and got my cake from the back and I was so excited to eat but as I took my first bite I realized that it was completely frozen the cake had ice around it. Absolutely disappointing and uncalled for and once the ice melted it didn’t taste that good either.

Everything is so delicious, and people are very friendly. Highly recommended

Came to San Diego for a Travel Nursing assignment and stumbled upon this place as I was walking through downtown. I went in and ordered a medium pineapple and mango gelato. It was one of THE BEST THINGS that I’ve ever tasted in my entire life!! Rich and creamy with just the right amount of sweetness and hints of fresh fruit. It was so good that I DoorDashed more to my hotel room that SAME night and I ate the entire tub full!! I’m from Louisiana and I’d def come back to the city for this!

We ordered croissants. Tasted more like a day old loaf of bread. Incredibly dense instead of flaky and buttery. Not to mention they were 5 bucks each. Ended up throwing them out after one bite. Hurt my jaw trying to chew it. Such trash.

This is a must when Im in SD. Delicious coffee for me either a latte or affogato with vanilla gelato. I also enjoy their food menu items for whatever Im craving.

About a week ago, myself, my boyfriend and another couple we are friends with went here for some dessert. The man behind the counter seemed less than pleased to be helping us, he was very unfriendly and rude. In addition, we were told we couldn’t eat there and that we had to leave when we tried to sit even though they didn’t close for another two hours (we got there at 10pm and they closed at 12 am). They didn’t give us a reason why we couldn’t eat there, yet there was a couple girls at one of the tables eating and another couple that came in, ordered, and sat down as we were leaving. I don’t understand why we were treated like that and denied seats unless the reason was because myself and my boyfriend as well as the other couple we went with are both interracial couples (my boyfriend is black and hers is Hispanic). If that is the case, I shouldn’t even have to express that it’s wrong, but I can’t think of any other reason that would have happened.

I happened upon a delicious dessert that happened by a mistake as they all seemed to do. I planned on ordering an affogato when I walked in, that was my plan. That plan sort of changed once I saw the Oreo gelato. Let me tell you if you are an Oreo fan it looks amazing. Anyways I went to change my order to get both an affogato and a gelato. I must have mumbled combined with the fact that I had a mask on which meant the gentlemen helping me did not hear me and he though (rationally) that I was not getting 2 things but rather I wanted an affogato with the Oreo gelato. Well, I walked away with what I think is an upgraded affogato. You get the chocolate from the Oreo; it was obviously larger than a normal affogato so that was nice the coffee flavor came though very well. Overall, I loved that happy accident and if I go back, I will try and ask for that again.

Ordered a slice of Oreo cheesecake and was very disappointed. Saw the $11 price tag before I ordered but based on reviews I thought it might be worth it. Definitely not. If you want Cheesecake go to Cheesecake Factory a few blocks away. The slices are super small for the price here and not good. The slice I had tasted like it had been sitting in a freezer for a while then thawed then froze then Thawed then served. Hard pass on this place.

There is definitely no COVID protocol that they are abiding by. Went in with my husband to get gelato and had the worst experience ever. Was served (what tasted like frezzer burn) gelato and when I asked if I could possibly get another flavor, the guy which looked like the Owner ROLLED his eyes and put his hand in my face.All this over a change in flavor because your gelato is not good. I was so surprised and disgusted especially in a pandemic where people cant even go out, but when they do they are just trying to go out and have a good time. Definitely not worth it! Please spend your money some place else.
