Id give Marvin K. Brown Cadillac-GMC 10 Stars if possible. Best Service Dept Ever.BEST Service Staff ever.I was traveling from N. Nevada through San Diego on my way home to Scottsdale, AZ. My GMC Sierra Denali developed a serious oil leak rendering the truck not drivable. This was caused as a result of warranty work done a few days earlier by another GM Dealer.I went to Marvin K. Browns Service Dept at 1:30 PM and explained I was traveling, really needed to be home the next day. DESPITE being slammed and my NOT having an appointment, Service Advisor Eric Valdez and Mechanic Jaun Tapia not only fixed the issue but also coordinated with the GM Dealer who caused the issue so I would have no out of pocket cost, specifically sending pictures and detailed documentation to the other Dealer.I arrived at Marvin K. Brown at 1:30PM with an emergency and was back on the road to Arizona at 6:15PM.This is CUSTOMER/OWNER SERVICE ON A GRAND SCALE.Marvin K. Brown has 2 GREAT ASSETS in Eric Valdez and Jaun Tapia. I own 4 GM Vehicles, these two great employees assured I continue buying GM

My service advisor, Oscar was very thorough with my visit. Being that it was the first time using the dealership since purchasing my car in October, he ensured the vehicle was in good hands. I was contacted immediately with any findings and requested permission to proceed before any type of work was completed. I would highly recommend to anyone to have Oscar as their service advisor if they want the quality of service you expect from the people that take care of your car.

I had an amazing experience a month or so ago with Oscar who went above and beyond to help me with the service on our car. He made sure the parts we needed were under warranty, he was super transparent, and he communicated everything with us. He even went out of his way to secure us a courtesy car since the service was going to take a few days. Couldnt recommend Oscar more!

My service representative, Corky, was efficient, professional and very respectful. My maintenance was completed in the time he promised..I was dismayed, however, that most of the Buick folks were not wearing masks. When I inquired as to why not, they responded that they were vaccinated. This new Delta strain of the Corona virus is very potent and for those of us who may have immune-compromised family members at home and the fact this this is a service organization, I would ask that GM/Buick rethink their policy.

What a great experience with Oscar at Marvin K Brown GMC-Buick in San Diego. He was very professional, friendly and helpful throughout my time at the dealership. He went out of his way to make sure that I knew when my vehicle would be ready to go so that I wasnt charged additional car rental fees from the Hertz counter and performed a complete inspection of my car without charging me a dime. As Im new to San Diego (CA in general actually), I will be taking my vehicle to Oscar and the Marvin K Brown dealer for all future services. Went in to buy a new car, no one greeting the customers, one of the managers did me a favor when she spoke with me, they didn’t have any new Yukon‘s to show, dealership is literally empty at normal operating hours. Is it one of those days or are they always like this? Definitely not going back.

Visited here in August 2021. Buying a car during this time was definitely a nerve racking experience going into it.. Cars are in short supply, prices are relatively high, and as a customer you just want to make sure you are treated fairly, pay a fair price, and are taken care of.. We came in to look at a preowned vehicle, and met Mark Swatman who helped us out.Mark was very kind, factual, and patient in helping us find the right fit for our family needs. There was no pressure at all and we ended up picking a vehicle we did not expect we would get because Mark gave us the information and support to make the right decision for our family.Additionally, Marks follow up after our visit was excellent. When we indicated that we intended to purchase a specific vehicle Mark was very clear and communicative and fought on our behalf to secure the vehicle. We bought a brand new 2021 GMC Sierra SLT 2WD. The brand new truck came with a rear suspension problem that GM doesnt want to admit too. Any bump you go on it makes a loud noise. My biggest issue is that when I take it to the dealership they claim that there is no noise. Why would they keep the truck in the shop for over a week and then claim that there is NO PROBLEM ?????And when we ask the service advisor to allow the technician to go on a test drive with us they refused, so if they are so confident about there diagnostic why are they so afraid?? A friend of mine bought the same truck and has the same issue and they are trying to work with him. We took it to a suspension shop for a second opinion and we were told there is a rear differential issue. They claim the car is under warranty but the dealership wont help!!! This issue needs to be escalated to management and I DO NOT RECOMMEND ANYONE TO BUY FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!! They only like to sell you cars and make money but refuse to help you! We are very upset.

I want to to specifically recognize Matt in the parts department. I called him and spoke to him over the phone regarding a replacement key for an older Saab. I had previously called other GM dealerships in San Diego and Los Angeles and they were neither helpful nor courteous. I still dont understand why my broken upper tailgate section is not covered under warranty. It makes no sense. I use the truck as a truck is to be used, and somehow that caused the tailgate to come out of alignment and rub against the lower tailgate, and this is a warranty issue? How can that be?Also, when I asked for an estimate of what it would cost to fix if I paid for it, I was told Id have to consult a body shop. Ridiculous.

The customer service at this place is awful. They dont take the time to listen and immediately tell you it is not covered under warranty. They didnt have loaner cars and need to keeh the vehicle 3 to 4 days without having looked at it! I have had my car for 5 months and it not acceptable. The attitude was nasty. Go somewhere else.. The buying experience was just as bad.

With that being said we got the vehicle we desired at the price we are thoroughly satisfied with. Had an appointment for 11:15 for first oil change. Had to wait over 20 minutes to check in. Was told it would take an hour to hour and half. Was called around 2:15 and told it was going in to be washed and would be ready in a few minutes. Arrived about 10 minutes later, and again had to wait over 1/2 hour. I was told I had to deal with my serviceman, he wasn’t there and didn’t respond to page. Finally another serviceman assisted me. When my car finally arrived, it hadn’t been washed yet. Just a note, I’ve been going to a Kia dealer in El Cajon for years with my Kia, never wait more than 5 minutes at checkin, and car always brought out within minutes. I really expected more from Marvin K Brown, so disappointed.

I work 12 hour shifts and most days get ofd work late. I live close by and was walking the lot with my service dog at night. This lead me walk by a security guard out front smoking, we exchanged polite nods and I continued sticker shopping. Then only after 30 seconds, the loud speakers go off, informing Me that quote THIS IS SECURITY, CLEAR THE AREA IMMEDIATELY. YOU ARE A SUSPICIOUS TRESPASSER AND WILL BE ARRESTED AND PROSECUTED. I mean never, in my life of buying cars, have I been treated like this. Im dressed respectfully, walking an expensive dog, respectfully view car stickers without even touching a vehicle. Both guards where then mean and confrontational and told me I couldnt have their names. I was then told I could come in the morning and make mu complaints then. YOUR EASTERN EUROPEAN BULLIES LOST YOUR SALE. And prop any other navy medical staff I speak with.

I have been dealing with Marvin K. Brown Auto Center for almost a year trying to obtain more information about the $8,426.00 in optional service contracts that were sold to the company I work for.To make a long story short, Ive made contact with the dealership on over 10 different occasions through phone and email and havent gotten anywhere. They were supposedly going to be sending me cancellation and refund paperwork through the mail but we have received nothing to date.This has been extremely disappointing considering we operate a fleet of vehicles and are a repeat customer. We will not be purchasing at this dealership again.After months of frustration we finally filed a Better Business Bureau complaint and they didnt even have the decency to respond. It is apparent that customer service IS NOT the priority here and that the finance managers and sales people are more concerned with keeping their commissions.Id stay away if I were you - nothing but bad business practices. Pretty disappointing considering we spent almost $90k a vehicle.

My 2017 Acadia was showing error messages on the display so I made an appointment with my local GMC dealer Marvin K Brown. I couldn’t be more pleased with how things were handled. My service advisor Kevin kept me informed as to the status of the repairs. GMC covered the costs and the dealership had provided a loaner car. They really took care of me and I’m so grateful for the excellent service. This is the difference you experience when you use a dealership versus non-dealership for service. I’d highly recommend them to a friend.

I came to my scheduled service, and I was told the computer system was down so I was just turned away even I told them my oil need change immediately ( 0% ). I had to find a new dealer as a walk-in customer, they were fully-booked but kindly checked my car and add some oil for me, so my car was safe and saved. There was no apologize from MKB but just asked me to schedule another appointment one week later, they said I missed the scheduled service ( Its really not my fault!!). When I finished my service the agent just gave me the paperwork without a single word, I had to ask him how about my car, is everything OK? He simply answered Yes, thats it! I am very disappointed with MKB this time as a long-time loyal customer, I am thinking of changing to a more friendly new dealer for my next service.

Edit:I was happy to hear from the dealer after my incident with the car. I really appreciated the time and effort put through by Jake and Greg to get my car transmission fixed and taken care of.They have contacted and provided an excellent feedback and information on how to get the car fixed. Luckily they told me I didn’t have to pay a single dollar on fixing the car. I wish the incident never happened but it did and they stepped up to their word and got the car fixed.The car runs smooth now and everything is good. Definitely I was shocked by how they responded with professionalism. I would still give 4 stars because I still believe this ordeal could have been avoided if my Altima was throughly checked. Was about to pull the trigger on a used 2017 Chevrolet Volt with all the bells and whistles. Was told repeatedly by the sales team that it was in excellent condition. A $170 inspection unearthed that it had had massive amounts of unreported repairs. The inspection also showed that some parts of the car were missing and multiple parts were dented/scratched. 5+ parts of the car were re-painted with no explanation and the re-paint jobs were sloppy with dripping paint, sloppy masking, and tape marks. I still have no idea what kind of damage occurred that necessitated so much repainting, but I definitely know that I dont trust this dealership at all.If you do decide to work with MKB, definitely pay for a 3rd party inspection, they are not exactly forthcoming with the less photogenic details of their cars.2 stars because the woman with whom I worked, Jade, was pleasant and responded quickly.

Not Roberts fault, Robert did a good job. The actual service was horrible very bad.When my truck came out of service I had gunk all over the body!! They did not put my wheel lock back where they got it from. They left my wheel lock in the cupholder. Keep in mind do you realize how hard it is to get a service appointment through them. They will not call you back. I tried calling them for three days straight, Never returned my call. They used to be real good don’t know what happened.

After MB Service Dept fixed the automatic roof of my convertible asking for over $1000 it worked just two times and stopped. I asked for a warranty fix but they asked for over $1000 more. What is going on? Is MB Service an enemy of convertibles and enforces clients to drive just hardtops, for example Caddies? Before I paid for removing a vibration from my other car and the vibration persist till today. When I told them they said Bring the car back we will take a look (for $1000 more, why not?) All this makes impossible to maintain a luxury car anymore. You have to refinance you house to do that.

Battery needed replacement, unknown at the time, and I arrived mid-afternoon without appointment and I was given a loaner. I was notified that my vehicle was ready at 4:05PM the same day. Due to traffic and distance, I picked up the next morning at 8:30AM.. My questions were answered professionally and to my satisfaction. I had and still have error codes on my Cadillac srx..I came for and issue so they said fix fuel pump.then I had same issues so I had change transmission.charge me over 5000 for transmission but my car still loses power. They robbed me..then something else .. when I pull off the lot the 4th time it says service tire monitor system as Im leaving the lot..over 7000 later Im having to look for a mechanic else where...not sure is it because Im a women or blk women but my service was horrible I feel bad....im having issues with the car and its like they dont care...they didnt tell me my service lights on says my tire pressure low.service tire monitoring systems..and let me drive off lot..I felt at first its better to go to Marvin k brown because of the name but honestly they move fast..I paid thousands thinking my car would have better treatment there but oh was I wrong

Brought my truck in for an oil leak, orginally they stated it was the valve covers leaking along with a oil pan seal. I got them all fixed, a week later my truck still leaked. Brought it back in and they stated it was a cracked oil pan. With a little hesitancy an oil pan doesnt just crack! Since they said they missed it the would waive the labor but I still would have to pay for the $500 oil pan. A few days later still leaking oil! Here I am out of over 3k for a problem that they still hadnt fixed and the truck is leaking worse than when I orginally brought it in. Its an older truck I couldve taken that money and just bought something new/newer. Final diagnosis is a rear main engine seal. I refuse to give this place any more of my business.

Great service, great staff!! They Explain things well and are very knowledgeable about my car and what and why it needs to be fixed. Car is completed in a timely manner. The GMC app is also helpful in making appointments and or road side assistance!!
