I was nervous about getting my septum pierced but Rubi was so kind and answered all of my (many) questions professionally. She could even sense how nervous I was and did some deep breathing with me which I really appreciate. She took her time to make sure the piercing got my ‘sweet spot’ and I definitely felt like I was in good hands. The girl at the front was really nice and knowledgable. Whats unique about enigma is that they pierce your septum with a retainer and flip it up so it can heal, which really shows you how much they care about professionalism. Thanks enigma!

I was super excited but fairly nervous and the whole experience put me at ease. The jewelry selection was fantastic. I got three piercings (second pair of lobes and helix) in one day and I had a super comfortable experience here. Erika was my piercer and she was very patient and knowledgable. She was willing to answer any and all questions I had. The place is also really clean and had a large variety of jewelry to choose from!

Most unprofessional business I have ever encountered. Got stuck in traffic, called in to let them know Id be late. Met with the most disgruntled, rude response from the girl at the front desk. Told me that if I dont get here in 10 minutes, were cancelling your appointment. Get there in 16 minutes due to traffic. Made us stand outside because we forgot masks, rudely asked our names to make sure we were those people who she talked to earlier, told us that we have to reschedule, when we said we couldnt, forfeited the appointment payment of $20 (because apparently that payment was to signify that wed be there 15 minutes ahead of time), and we just left. An appointment at 3:30 was apparently supposed to be for 3:15 which is not professional at all considering they never told us we had to be early, just within 10 minutes after. Even then they cancelled saying they were booked when there was seemingly nobody else in the building. Worst place I have ever tried to do business with.EDIT: Evan reached out to me and helped me with our issue. Very professional from him, not so much from the woman who we spoke to initially who tried to withhold the deposit we ended up getting back rightfully. I appreciate the help from Evan, however I dont know if Id bring my business this direction again due to my experience.

Every single time I have walked into this place I’ve had a bad experience at both locations. The people who work there are also super pretentious and just kind of rude honestly. First issue was a manufacturing error which of course technically isn’t their fault but the way that they dealt with me was not very professional or apologetic, I still had to pay to get it fixed and everything which I believe I should’ve been just comped for. The girls that help me out we’re not very nice about it at all and then I got some ear piercings there and the placement in jewelry was just way too short and off and I got terrible keloids on them And it was definitely not my fault because I have piercings I know how to take care of them and I was taking care of them it was just not Pierce greatly. Do not waste your money here do not spend the extra money here there are way better piercers way better piercing shops that you don’t need to put money down for and make an appointment for and you can find titanium jewelry almost anywhere else so please do not waste your time with these terrible people. If they mess you up they won’t even fix it for free

I bought a small horseshoe lipring here 2 days ago, paid 40 dollars for the professional piece of jewelry as “the threading is so nice you won’t lose the ball” well it’s two days later and the ball fell off at some point throughout my day; so I came out to replace it.At 7:50, when the business is scheduled to close at 8PM, the worker who was clearly on her way out the door refused to sell me the piece of jewelry because they’re closed. Not professional, not cool. If you want to leave at 7:50, put your store hours at 7:50I will never return or recommend business here.I went down the street and was welcomed warmly and bought a whole new piece for half the price.Avoid enigma. Period.

Erika was my piercer and she was amazing!! Definitely recommend her. She gave me all the information I needed and explained the process of piercing and healing. I would definitely recommend doing your research before going or go repared with your questions, its always beneficial to be informed and then confirm with your piercer. Everyone was nice to me and the store is APP recognized. If you want professional piercings this is the place. Prices are a little over budget but it is reasonable since youre paying for professional services. Made me feel comfortable and was even told to come back for a follow up if needed or call for any questions/concerns.

Customer service not the best...girl at the front was not helpful and informative about the jewelry choices. The studs that I wanted was $90-$100 per piece. In my opinion I think it’s way too overpriced just for a standard lobe piercing. It would’ve been my first time getting a piercing and I would say this wasn’t a great experience overall.

Great customer service. Took my daughter for a nose piercing last Friday and she had great experience. Front desk was very professional, attentive, patient, knowledgeable, with such great side manners thats rare to see now these days. I witnessed this front desk guy deal with a difficult customer while we were waiting and he remain calm ,very polite and professional.

I’m sure the piercing is fine if you can make it past the condescending front desk person. It was the kind of place where if you know everything about piercing and can talk their language then they would probably be perfect. Or if I looked like a hipster, I’m sure I could have pulled it off. I only knew that I wanted a second piercing In my ears—super basic—but had some questions. And I was the only person in there, and she was unhelpful and seemed irritated I was there. I was even ready to drop the $250 it was going to cost; which is ridiculously pricey ($35 for piercing, and the cost for earrings is around $80 each stud. So very pricey for an earring I wouldn’t wear forever.) I walked out. Pierced at a tattoo shop down the street for $80 total (same studs).Update: In response to owner reply....if there are cheaper options, they were definitely not presented. The gold earrings (simple tiny studs) were $110 each (total of $220). The person behind the desk showed us what she said were the lowest range, and they were $80 each ($160).

I thought they were a little short with me regarding what I needed to do post piercing, but maybe thats because I had a recovery piercing - hole didnt close up but shrank a lot - and thought that I already knew what to do. I didnt, and they didnt seem like they had the time to answer my questions.Nonetheless they were professional, methodical, and careful with the process of piercing my ears. Everything is sterile, gloves are worn, the needle comes sealed. Nothing to worry about regarding the safety of the procedure.While the piercing price is reasonable, their jewelry costs an arm and a leg; next time I will be bringing my own jewelry.

Evan was great piercing my daughters ears. She had them done badly at the mall years ago and we really wanted it right this time. He was really nice, explained everything, and it went really well. The only reason Im lowering a star is that I wish they had some less expensive options for first-time earings. $80-90 is what youre spending.

Took our nine-month kid here for her ear piercings. Everything about our visit was exceptional. They took time and care to explain everything and to ensure sterility and comfort. Went with my daughter to get her Helix & Rook pierced. James, at the front counter, was very friendly. Evan, the piercer, was amazing. He recommended not getting one of her piercings in the spot that she wanted because of the shape of her ear, but suggested some other areas that would work better (Appreciated the knowledge and honesty). My daughter, who has a fear of needles, was relaxed and comfortable with Evans professionalism and peaceful demeanor. He was very meticulous and made sure everything was always extremely clean. Would definitely recommend this place.

Had a really great experience here. Evan was very professional, quick, with a friendly manner. They use high grade jewelry with posts that allow you to adapt your piercing throughout levels of healing. Reasonable piercing fee with decent pricing on the jewelry used. Everything was steralized and even used iodine and a drape for a standard nostril piercing.Over all, clean, well priced, and friendly staff that is talented at what they do. Cant get better than that.

They helped me remove my sub-dermal implants (hip piercings). Had to wait a pretty long time in a crowded waiting room, but the procedure was quick and not too painful. Glad I went someplace where they know what theyre doing.

They dont ask enough questions to make sure it would work. When I took off my shirt the piercer reacted obviously. I came to feel better about my body, I left with nothing but the experience of being shamed.

I loved my experience at enigma, I got a total of 4 piercings (2 in each lobe of my ear adding to my first piercings). The piercing itself couldnt have been more enjoyable, it was quick, it was easy, and nearly painless (as painless as you can get when having 4 piercings done). The jewelry is beautiful, priced reasonably, and sterile. If Im ever considering getting another piercing in the future, I know where to go. I hope you found this review helpful!

Got piercings done by two different people here on two separate occasions and each time I left with an experience better than expected. Everyone is professional, knowledgeable, warm and welcoming. And the place is so clean! You can literally smell how sanitized the whole place is the second you walk into the door. I went on a Tuesday and Wednesday afternoon and was literally in there for a total of 15mins each time. Great place.. Highly recommended! Thank you to Chris (Back in June) and Oscar (a few days ago) for your awesome work!

The staff is super friendly and knowledgeable about their jewelry sizes. There was a bit of a wait only because they sanitize the jewelry you pick out before they insert. I had to replace a nose stud and they even put my new one in for no extra charge. I am definitely glad I came and will be returning for any new piercings

I came to this place a couple of years ago to ask about a piercing I had gotten at another shop because it just wasnt healing that great and a bubble was starting to form. They told me it was not deep enough but at least it was straight. Once they took that piercing out they showed me the other shop used an externally threaded barbell (the other shop told me different). I was so glad to get my Earl piercing re-done here!!! No pain, no clamp, straight, no headache, healed perfectly, the guys were so amazing and got extra jewelry.

Heard about this place from a friend, thought Id check it out since I wanted to get my nipples pierced. Went in, the staff was super cool and friendly. I was so nervous, but they made me feel comfortable and more at ease. Dan was amazing. He was so fast and gentle! Talked me through it, made me laugh and all that goof stuff. Walked me through the after care process and asked me to come back in a fewk weeks so they could make sure I healed properly. I was looking for places to get my sisters ears pierced. She can be pretty introverted and sensitive, so I wanted to find a place she could feel comfortable. They were all really kind to her, talked to us the whole time we waited. They make you feel welcomed even if you arent familiar with piercings, or dont have the look. Really really sweet, all of them. And since I couldnt find out this information before I went, ill say it for others who are looking. VERY LGBT FRIENDLY! Preferred names, and respectful attitudes.

Nice selection of jewelry and a friendly staff. Theyre very interested in hygiene, and freaked a little when my wife just popped out her nose stud. Expect a small delay if buying jewelry because they autoclave it. I did not expect the delay but understand it - a little communication wouldve helped. Kind of a small lobby area, so it gets cramped quickly. Theres no place to wrangle an active child, so best to have someone watch them outside.

I was in California on a trip to visit family and I decided to get my belly button pierced on one of my last days. We drove into San Diego from Poway and decided we had to go here due to all the talk about it. The second we walked into the shop, we were greeted by two incredibly nice artists. The man helped me pick out what jewelry I wanted and made sure I was absolutely sure before I went with the woman to get pierced. It was quick, and fairly painless. I dont do well with needles (which I shared with them prior to getting pierced), and about five minutes later, the room started spinning. They were so nice about it and sat me down with some water and waited with me until I felt better. Seriously the nicest, friendliest, and absolute cleanest shop! My boyfriend got his septum pierced here years back and insisted I went here if I was to get pierced. Im glad I did. I intend on coming back again soon! Very nice , friendly staff, clean, quick, and knew what they were doing. I was very comfortable.***just wanted to add another point on why theyre so awesome. I bought a cheap clicker septum ring that had gotten locked. Basically spent days trying to get it out myself and somewhat ripping my nose. I walked in and they helped me no problem. I went here to get my septum pierced about two months ago. Ive heard so many horror stories about septum piercings but I havent had any problems at all. Lou was really patient and answered every single one of my questions. They didnt use that painful clamp thing. Have gotten all of my piercings done here. septum, tongue, both nipples and a Prince albert. Highly, highly reccomend this place. Everyone there is extremely knowledgeable and can answer any questions you may have. You can also order custom made jewelry through them.

I got my septum done here a little over 7 weeks ago, then went back last week to have the original piercing replaced with a c ring. The original piercer told me not to mess with or use cleaning solutions on the piercing, and that I should leave it flipped up and it would take care of itself. That’s what I did and it seemed to be healing nicely, so a different guy at the studio switched it with the c ring but didn’t give any new cleaning instructions, but now that the piercing was exposed, I was afraid I needed to be using a solution to clean it and called in. The female pierced I spoke with suggested that I should have been using saline solution all along, and just like everyone else so far, basically treated me as an inconvenience. Not one person cracked a smile or was helpful. I tried to ask questions but all answers were dismissive and borderline rude. Basically the only nice thing I can say is that they seem sterile and professional for the piercing itself, but customer service is awful, the jewelry is super expensive compared to other places, and apparently they’re not all on the same page when it comes to piercing care. I won’t go back.

Had a situation where I had to remove jewelry asap for an MRI and I couldnt remove it. with literally minutes left to leave on time for my appointment I popped in and was out in minutes. They are so awesome there, they were sensitive to my need, professional and supportive with advice and and supplies to take home. Def going back there.

Had my septum and nostril pierced at enigma on adams. Both times James and Evan were professional and courteous! One tidbit to ensure a sterile environment, they sterilize your jewelry and show you the positive clean test. I love piercings!!

This was such a professional environment. I have seven piercings, and I felt the most comfortable here. The pricing was not cheap, but the entire process was clean and I wasnt nervous at all. I will definitely come back here to switch jewelry, and Ill look to them first for a tattoo in the future.

Had my lip done here. To be clear, Ive had my lip pierced three times, this being the third as well as about everything on my body pierced at least a couple times. I was a walk in and was surprised to receive the best service of my life. The piercer was not only a really nice guy but was also a master of his craft, I barely felt any pain it - just the needle popping through. I was truly amazed, they do great stuff here!

First time here, I went to get my lobes repierced. Everybody is helpful and friendly, the receptionist showed me what jewelry they had. Evan, the piercer, made sure I was happy with the placement, showed me that all jewelry was sterilized, and explained everything he was doing.

I brought my daughter (10) here to have her ears pierced. The fellow who did the piercing drew a dot on each ear and asked us to say if we thought that was a good placement. I said I thought one was higher than the other. He balked and told me I was wrong and he didnt want to change it since then they would be uneven. Four months later: we waited an extra month to let the wounds heal and shopped very carefully to buy earrings that would be lead and nickel free and completely non toxic. (That was hard to do!) We ended up buying a pair of small hoops from an artist who makes her own earrings and has a nickel allergy. When I went to remove the earring I was shocked because her ears bled. One ear was very hard to get out because it had a crust holding the earring in place. (We had followed all the cleaning instructions meticulously.) My daughter cried and said it hurt. I finally got the new earrings in and found that one hoop was tighter than the other on the ear — the one I had asked our piercing technician to move. So I am annoyed that he did not listen to me —he was both bossy and wrong. I just removed her new earrings after one week and the holes were completely healed: no blood, no crust. I suspect that the earrings this studio sold us are not actual non-reactive and are cheap -- possibly containing lead or nickel. My daughters ears have not hurt since we changed out her earrings. I would not go back to this place. I would also be VERY careful about what metals are used in piercings in the future...

Ive had multiple piercings at other shops and recently had my philtrum and labret pierced here by Dan. It didnt even swell.. he is is so good. It was witchcraft. Didnt hurt at all. 6 weeks out and they healed beautifully. I will only go here for the rest of my piercings. Dont waste your time with other shops. This place is the best around.

Mark was so professional and insightful. I wanted to get my hip piercings redone because I had to take them out about a year ago for work purposes. I initially had the bar and he expressed concern for getting dermal a instead due to it being safer and more likely to last. So I got 4 dermals, two on each hip. He made the decision a lot easier for me. He made sure to explain the process to me and how everything was sterilized. He talked to me through the whole process and made sure I was okay after each one. I recommend this place to everyone.

Enigma has always treated me right when I needed peircings. They are very thoughtful of angle and placement, and consulted with me so Id be aware of what they were doing and the thought behind it. They are also very clean and professional, and its worth the short wait to know every thing is being sanitized.I recently had a peircings heal over after a week without an earring in. Rather than force it through I went to enigma to open it up again. It was a peircing they had done and they were happy to open it up for me for no charge and install the ball earrings Id bought from them two years before.

Had a piercing stuck in my lip. After 2 days of frustration I finally started calling around to find a place to get it out. one shop I called recommend that I go to enigma and that they would definitely be able to help me out. They were extremely busy when I went on a Sunday but they squeezed me in as soon as they could. The girl was super cool I was able to remove my stuck piercing in minutes. After it was all said and done they werent even going to charge me so i tipped the girl who helped me. If you ever run into a problem like mine or want to get anything pierced definitely go to Enigma. Awesome experience.

Got 3 helix piercings here. A great experience. The women at the front counter (didnt get her name) was super friendly and patient. John was my piercer and he was also pretty awesome. This was my first experience getting piercings with a needle. I felt the process was pretty seamless. John was very efficient, quick, and knowledgeable. My eyes didnt even tear up and I have very little pain as of now. (I do feel like I have a high pain tolerance) The one and only downside was the pricing of the jewelry. It was all very lovely and of the upmost quality and you definelty pay for it. Now again, since I dont have much experience with this, I dont know if thats standard. Expect to pay $120-220 for each piece of jewlery if youre not just wanting the basic gemstone studs($40) which is what I got since I was getting 3 at once. Regardless I will be back and I will buy at least one of their fancy pieces of jewlery as it is unique and very beautiful and has a lifetime warranty. Cant wait to be back for some more! (I went to the Adams location)
