Dennis is one of the most unprofessional and non reliant person I have ever seen represent a company. Upon numerous messages and phone calls- a time was set up to see and purchase a boat. Having arranged my work schedule to drive down to San Diego in time to meet with Dennis, only to have calls unanswered. When he finally called back he stated the boat had just “driven away”! And that he had another for sale but that too was sold! After asking why he had not called to let me know before he explained the “guy had cash!” Wow! I was dragged along for days waiting for Dennis to finish his birthday party weekend and then given days and times that accommodated him to only be left disappointed and with wasted time. What lack of professionalism!

Absolutely outstanding service and parts availability.I was so happy to find them after dealing with all of the horrible and abusive supply houses around San Diego. Affordable Marine is the most reasonably priced parts counter in the city of San Diego. Their fair, they follow through, and their customer service is on target

As a 1st time boat owner its worrisome to find an honest mechanic that does quality work. I have heard the horror stories from my buddy in that regard and that he really didnt have a recommended place or person for me to go to. He basically just said to be ready to write a big check. Anyways, I came across Affordable Marine while on my quest of finding a service place. Long story short, this place rocks! Dennis is the passionate guy that loves what he does. He is the customer service guru! He has alot of knowledge and he will tell you what needs to be done to maintain the longevity of your boat. Highly recommended!!!

Unfortunately there is no option for zero stars. There is not anything affordable about Affordable Marine. This place is a complete rip off. We payed to have work done here. After getting our boat back we had nothing but problems with the repairs they supposedly made. First off not one of there workers seamed to be united states citizens. Most likely do not pay taxes. I highly doubt there even actual qualified mechanics considering all the problems we continued to have once we received our boat back. You have been warned stay away from this place!

I dont usually take the time to write these online reviews but in this case I felt it was duly warranted. With friends coming into town for the upcoming weekend Id gone down to my boat to make sure everything was ready to go. Low and behold, it turned over but wouldnt start. Ran great last time out so I wasnt sure what could be wrong. Not having the best of luck with a previous repair shop I quizzed a few boating friends on their recommendations. The name Affordable Marine Service came up more than once. I spoke with Dennis, who seemed very knowledgeable, and they were able to squeeze me in last minute. Took care of the repairs, made me aware of some possible upcoming issues that will need to be addressed in the near future (to prevent any more last minute problems) and needless to say, thanks to the guys at AMS my buddies and I had a great weekend.

This place will shake your hand, schedule a repair date, call you and reschedule the repair date and not show up. Dont use this company I made arrangements for some major work to be done on my boat way in advance andThese guys stood me up no phone no text no nothing. I have never seen such a total disregard for doing business , is America really that well off that we can leave good money on the table? This company will waste your time.

Dennis the owner is a great guy knows his stuff very responsive. Gets the job done in a timely manner and very efficient I would highly recommend them.

Just wondering... Are you still illegally paying your mechanics under the table and under paying them. Expect to be turned in to the labor board..

Took my 2007 Yamaha F115 to Affordable after another Marine place I wont mention couldnt get the job done. Anyways after a week Dennis called and said he thought they had isolated it to a faulty injector and was going to investigate further and get the job done. Next day he called and the boat was ready and even sea trialed it and made sure. Thanks Dennis and your staff for being professional and courteous. Goin fishin!!

Bought used engine. they replaced engine and charged me for work they didnt do. on the invoice was charged for 2 power steering houses that were never replaced. The high pressure hose was spliced and had a burr in it which seperated and I had to be towed in. Over engine worked but as previously stated charged for parts and labor that were never done. Texted, emailed and called never returned any of my messages.
