I have been coming in for years and its taken a long time to get the material i need loaded up on my truck!!! Recently they hired Veronica a hard worker who has definitely been getting the customers out faster than ever!!! Its gone from a 1.5 star for customer service to a 5 star!!! Keep up the great work!!!! Make sure to ask for veronica or you will wait forever to get your steel!!!!

Good inventory, good inventory, but wow does it take a long time to get even a small order picked up. Clear your schedule before showing up..

This place is so slow! Pre ordered hours before leaving the house (2 hour drive to get there). Have to go inside and wait in line for a sales rep to tell them your picking up order, then wait in line at cashier (prude lady) just to get order form, then to wait in line to be loaded. Who knows how long it would have taken if we hadn’t preordered! Have waited 2 hours and still have more material to load…. No one gets in a rush around here! Be prepared to spend your whole day to pick up material if you live out of town….

I dont even write reviews but this is one of the slowest places. I dont even know why they go by appointments. If you are a trucker and delivering better make sure your next load is scheduled for pick up many hours out.

The products and pricing are fine, but their order fulfillment process is awful. If you send someone in to order at the counter, they stand in line to place the order at the sales counter and then go to another line and wait to pay the cashier and then your vehicle gets in another line to get the material. If you call ahead and pay with a charge card, they may or may not want to take your order over the phone. If they do take your order, you still go to the sales desk and then to the cashier and then go around back to pick it up. It is a ridiculous checkout process. Today, after calling in an order for hours ago and pre-paying with a credit card, I went through the sales counter and the cashier only to get in a loading line of 15 trucks, 45 minutes in line so far and six trucks ahead of me still. Even if it has been pre-paid, they will not do any order processing before you arrive at the sales counter. Their material pricing is only part of the cost of doing business with them, their fulfillment process adds a lot of labor cost to the buyer. The good news? The long wait gave me a chance to write a thorough review.

This is crazy! Read their reviews! they all say the same things... Whoever hires the guy that runs this place needs a business lesson. What an ongoing mess this has been for years. This is why people go elsewhere.

One line to tell them what you want, another to pay. If you get anything from the showroom, you have to wait in line to tell them you want it, and then wait in another line to pay for it. And if you need steel tubing and finials, youll need to stand in both lines, then wait for the finials, then drive around for the loooong wait to get that loaded.They have a great supply of stuff, but their customer service and payment system is horrible, and if you need pricing, well good luck. They dont return phone calls, so if you call them you better make sure that you actually get someone to answer, ...then good luck with that. Great supply though.

The place is nice, they have a lot of supplies and good quality material. I cant give them a 5 stars because takes forever to pay or to get something!! And its worse if you forget something.. You would have to wait again another hour ( at least)

Showroom is nice, but you have to wait in line just to get a price and then the price seemed to be alot more than other places that I checked for prices, in fact almost double and close to triple of some other places. Guess welders have to charge a ton of money to pay this steel supply bill at triple S. Anyone else think its expensive getting supplies here?

If your planning to buy something here plan to spend hours even if you know what your going for. Plan to be in three separate lines terrible 1 to order 2 to pay 3 to pick up material half of your day will be spent here..wish they had a better system it sucks.

If you got 2 hours to spare this is the place. Waited an hour and a half in the bay just for 4 2-in square tubing.

Ive read some bad reveiws from Triple S but they are a great company. They are always accommodating and have given me discounts on a whole order when a couple pieces of steel were messed up. They have the best prices. If you learn how their phone system works, its very easy to get questions answered about pricing, orders etc. Ive been going to Triple S exclusively for about 3 years and had nothing but great experiences!

Operates the same way as Instel. Youll get transferred & transferred until you get to some dudes voice mail. Manager didnt help at all wasted a hour trying to buy something from the scrap pile.

These dude have the customer service skills of a rock. Out of dozens (LITERALLY DOZENS) of calls to these jokers, Ive talked with ONE person who had even a hint of professionalism. Do yourself a favor and smash your hand with a hammer before calling them so you can be in the mood, or better yet, go to Alamo Iron Works!

3 hours and counting. 4 separate lines. Failed to tell me i was loaded, so i sat there for however long waiting for no reason

Triple sss has decent prices but it’s a bit of hassle dealing with this company. Delivery’s rarely ever shows up on time do to reasons that Varys. Unfortunately when you need metal and have a dead line your order usually gets bummed days and end up being the next week. Metal is a little questionable at times but usually good. They never cover metal even when it rains and who ever loads the trucks needs to be trained. The driver Glen is Awesome and couldn’t asked for better delivery driver. Customer service ranges from staff, but seems like they could seriously benefit from some training and basic customer service. Current rep is much better the. Past. Yes I buy metal from here but they are not my first call when I need steel.

Place has some of the better prices but the amount of time you waste sitting in line and waiting on them to load you is crazy. Really Id only reccomend this place if you had them deliver, otherwise its a mess everytime and be prepared to wait.

Sales doesnt pick up the phone. Once they do, unless youre looking for everyday standard products, you wont get any help from them.

Pretty bad experience with tripple s. I decided to order from tripple s for my welding shop. The first order I ever placed was supposedly lost and and delivered 2 weeks late. They lost a 1inch thick 5x10ft sheet of steel? I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt and placed several more orders with them, it was a nightmare, at one point they owed me several thousand dollars and could not get my refund processed for several weeks. Money is everything to a small business and they would promise to get it refunded and then not call me back at all. They have terrible customer service and could care less. They still owe me money from steel they forgot on the last order. The Time before that, steel never got delivered because they said there driver fell asleep. They have waisted enough of my time and money. Nice people but they do not follow up or through. Doing business with tripple is a bad business decision.

I called to inquire about a recommendation for a project for my back yard. Gentleman that answered provided no assistance just short no we dont recommend answers. No big deal, so I visited the website where it asks about my project and placed an inquire. After I placed the inquire, it says youll get a reply within 24 hours. 24 hours past, so I called backed to ask what the turns times were and I was asked, what your project for? I answered. Sure we can help that and was transferred to the same guy from before. Didnt offer any assistance - we dont offer any help with that. When I asked him why the website ask about the customers needs or project - dunno, we dont offer any help with that. Then just hung up. Wish he wouldve introduced himself like a professional. I called back to try to get his name, operator was very defensive. Why bother!!!

Hadnt been before. Super professional, clean and safe place. I was only buying 3 pcs and they cut them in half so I could carry on my small car. Very friendly.

It was hard to reach a sales person on the phone . I waited on hold for a long time . But after my call was answered the sales person was knowledgeable and it was easy to complete my order . When I arrived to pick up my order it was a long wait as well to get the few items I ordered . But the person who filled my order was helpful in getting my items loaded . As long as you arent in a hurry , this place is good .

Terrible customer service and there return policy is outrageous. They charge you 15% even if you return a package unopened and a week later. Do not recommend buying anything from here. The cashier behind the counter didnt even acknoweledge me when i asked a question. Will never go back.

There was no one in front of us to pick up steel and it took over 3 hours to get materials for a small metal building. By the time we left there was a line of 10-15 trucks behind us. Workers work like they have gum on the bottom of there shoes.

I have been buying here for a while. Prices are cheaper than Alamo Iron, and they have a ton of fence and door hardware. They also let you take a book home as well.

Samuel, the guy behind the counter was a jerk!!! So rude and he didnt care. He was to lazy to look up the history of what we purchased in the past. Theres a lot more steel companys in town. So avoid this guy when visiting this company.

Went on a pickup with my husband 3 weeks ago and was serviced by a woman, can’t recall her name but we were in and out in no time. She went above and beyond to made sure we were taken care off in no time and able to get to the job site by the time we promised. This week he retired looking for that girl and was told she wasn’t working. He was there for at least three hours. What happened to your great employee? She is missed.
