On April 9, 2021 I ordered a Sterling Italian leather couch and love seat from Overstock and for three weeks; they have a notice on my order will ship in 1-2 days. Today it is May 20 and now Overstalk says it is not in the warehouse because Sterling has not shipped the furniture and they have not returned a phone call.I am giving them 2 more days to ship then I am going to cancel my order. Too bad both companies have not been truthful.

The best way I can describe Jill and others who helped me is that they are chair doctors. As they had me try out different chairs, exposing me to what exists and to features I knew I wanted but didnt know what they were or how to describe them, they listened to me and helped me construct exactly what I want out of a chair. They did this even though a chair with all the features I want does not yet exist on the market. I also learned more about chairs than I have ever been able to learn from other furniture stores where they are trying to quickly make a sale.

We rented a beautiful apartment through Sterling and found their payment processing was rather inefficient. Despite having sufficient funds in our account and paying rent on time, we were charged late fees. We started paying rent in cash, and our payments still werent processed in a timely manner, which led to more late fees. Other tenants in our building had similar experiences. I do hope Sterling improved their payment processing since we moved. I loved the apartment with its big windows. I wish the process of paying rent there had been smoother.

I bought a chest of drawers from Sterling and they delivered it with a broken drawer. I have called many times and each time they say they will call me back or have someone come fix the drawer but have done nothing.

I dont understand how this business stays open, being run the way it does... these people are slum lords.When I first moved in, the building was old and needed work, but the managers kept it clean (only reason I moved in) a few months later the managers disappeared and the building fell into disrepair, and simply became gross. Water damage ruined the walls and ceilings, garbage was everywhere, things broke with no one to fix them. I could never reach the owners of the building (their contact info was Sterling Furniture, I even went in the store a few times and wasnt able to catch them, and never given an alternative form of contact) When I finally did get the chance to leave, the contract was up and they still charged me over $2000 for bogus charges like carpet cleaning and paint and for the closet doors in the bedroom that was missing when I moved in... and when I asked for proof of charges all I received was handwritten amounts, no receipts or proof of charges. They also appeared to conveniently lost my move in slip which listed everything wrong with the place and replaced it with a blank one.I would advise anyone living in one of their buildings to take a lot of pictures and fill out all the suggested paper work from the online Utah renters rights website before moving out to prevent the owners from charging you outrageous random fees in the thousands of dollars because they will if they can get away with it.DO NOT RENT FROM THESE PEOPLE!
