I went in for help with a lamp base and socket to fix a broken pendant lamp. I really had a great experience with the Lamp Company. It was so nice to get exactly what I needed and advice on getting it back together again. Looks like they have lots of lamp parts as well as a great selection of shades and even lamps if you need one. We are lucky to have a place like this to get help and advice in Salt Lake City. Plus, it is a great building to check out. Highly recommended and I will be back.

I have this cool antique lamp/side table combo that suddenly quit working, and Tim was very knowledgeable in explaining the problems I was having (mostly user error lol) for me and fixed it up so quick! He replaced all the old hardware and cord so she’s all modern and functional again! So grateful that he was able to save my lamp! This company is great and everyone who helped me was so friendly! It was very affordable and an overall very positive experience! 10/10 would recommend!

I highly recommend The Lamp Company. My husband and I have had them do repairs on our lamps and we have been more than satisfied with the quality of their work. Bill has always been great to work with. Tim has now joined The Lamp Company is very helpful. They are carrying on the tradition of excellent service and a friendly atmosphere. It is a pleasure to visit the shop. Their work is done on time and at a reasonable price. Businesses with these qualities are few and far between today. I feel fortunate that I could call on them once more to fix my favorite lamp that I use daily.

We had a huge ask of Bill and his team. For a large scale lamp shade project with little heads up and a short turn around, the people at the Lamp Company could not have done better. They were extremely polite, profession and timely. We hope to use them many more times in the future.

I love this store. I went for my first time and the customer service and workmanship were outstanding. They even ended up charging me less than their original estimate. They fixed a 70-year-old lamp and it is better than new! Great place!

I have a mermaid lamp that needed a new cord because there was a short somewhere. Not only did he replace the cord, quickly, but he found a BEAUTIFUL shade, and installed it for me. He was careful with everything, and even explained what bulb to use (installed it as well). Everyone in this store is knowledgable, considerate, and prices are appropriate. Id go back in a heartbeat for service, or to shop.

The Lamp Company is a fantastic place to get lamps serviced . They also have good lamp shades in stock and the ability to order a wide variety of lamp shades. Bill is super knowledgeable about lamps. He knew a lot about some treasured lamps I had inherited and helped us appreciate them even more. The service was great, prices were beyond reasonable, and they got it done in good time. I would recommend them to anyone! In fact, I am going back today to get some more lamps serviced!

They custom made a lamp shade for a very old Aladdin alacite lamp that I had. Because of prior damage, and my poor attempt at fixing it myself, a harp couldnt be added but it had a beautiful finial that I wanted to use. They made the shade so it would clip onto the light bulb but also added a part where I could attach the finial. My little lamp may not be worth much money because of the prior damage but, thanks to them, its beautiful again. I liked that shade so much that I went back a week later and had them make another shade out of the same material for another lamp.

They helped me with a lamp repair in a timely manner and for a reasonable price. Bill was very kind and helpful.

I luckily was referred to The Lamp Company by another company that didnt do repairs and rewiring. WOW, couldnt be more happy with the service, the knowledgeable owner (Bill) and Tim. I had 3 of my favorite lamps rewired (2 of my Grandmothers Antique Art-Deco) and not only were they very quick in responding to my desire to get them done, but went above and beyond and even put felt pads on them so thered be no chance of them scratching our furniture. Cant say enough about the service and What REASONABLE prices they charge... Ill now be an advocate for THEM in all of my networking activities... Thanks Bill & Tim, you guys were GREAT!

Bill repaired 2 old tuquoise glass lamps that were my grandmother’s. He rewired them and designed new shades to be the tallest possible. While working on the wiring he decided to repair the inside of the switch mechanism because a new brass piece wouldn’t look right on the antique lamp.The work was perfect and surprisingly inexpensive!We also just had an older brass lamp rewired for a 3 way bulb. Great job. Done in a couple of days and not the one week he predicted, and very reasonable.We HIGHLY RECOMMEND The Lamp Company!!!!

I took an old family lamp to Bill about 13-15 months ago. It was made of brass and needed some repair that was complicated. After looking at it and talking with me a few times, about whether of not he could do it with his own staff or find someone, I decided to leave it there. His manner was so kind and honest that I left it there hoping it would eventually get fixedAbout 2 weeks ago I got a call from Bill telling me that it was fixed. He had found someone who have the welding skills and knew how do deal with brass. It looks perfect and I could not be more happy. It is hard to find business owners who go the extra miles Bill went to get something taken care of . When I need lighting or lamps of any kind, I know where I am going... Thanks Bill for your efforts. You indeed are a miracle worker...

Bill was most pleasant and helpful. I took my lamps into him to show him the socket that I thought I needed and he asked if I had tried a new bulb. I said I had twice and that they didnt work. He politely asked if he could try a 3 way bulb that he had and I said sure. Low and behold it worked. He took the time in explaining to me how the 3 way light works and what I needed to do to make sure that it would work. He could have charged me $29.50 per lamp to fix plus the cost of the socket, but he didnt. I found him very honest and willing to help me save some money. He has great customer service (which is a rarity in this day and age) and a cute sense of humor.

We went into the store with a very challenging request for the owner. He was pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable. He is going to attempt to fulfill our request, and he was completely honest about what he may or may not be able to do for us. I would highly recommend this company to anyone with lamp/lighting needs.

The Lamp Company is a Utah State treasure! Fixing lamps and lighting is a a dying art---since nowadays people seem to think new is better. This is not true! Bill is simply a miracle worker. After 2 years of trying to troubleshoot my 3 very expensive Tech Light Pendants with Murano Glass Covers---Bill found a solution right away. He rewired and rebuilt them completely. I couldnt believe how smart and conscientious he was, especialy after 3 other electrical contractors had tried and failed. He is also honest and so reasonably priced. I will always SUPPORT LOCAL over big box stores after meeting him. Thank You for A+ service!

The owners are great, and it seems like he can do pretty much whatever you want when it comes to making a new lamp, and is very good at repairing or updating any current lamps that you might have. He also has storage units below and they are at a reasonable cost.

He BROKE my lamp and LIED about it. I wouldnt give him any stars but had to in order to write this. Since it was part of a set he basically broke both. These are mermaid lamps and virtually irreplaceable. Ive been looking for them for years. All he had to do was fix the switch on the cord on both lamps. He is a clumsy liar and thief. Fortunately he admitted it on voice mail so I managed to get my money back. No thanks to him. I found them finally online used but in great condition like the one I had that he didnt break. $340.00 later because they are only sold in sets of two. Go somewhere else!!!

Found just what I was looking for, and if I hadnt I was told they will make to fit the need, was given excellent help, reasonably priced, and I was advised how to care for my brass lamp so that it would not lose value nor be ruined as well as other information I wasnt aware of. Little place, good stuff.
