I can give this place 100 stars if I could. Joel is very professional and great at his crafts!! Quick and friendly business practice. Upfront about the costs and doesnt charge you extra after the services. Huge plus is that he does NOT charge you outrageous amounts like other big companies(honestly have no idea how those big companies still in business). Im so grateful to come across this business. I was so stressed out because the other place was charging me double and wasnt even sure if they can fix my computer.... CompuTech bought the parts for me and fixed it quickly and even waited for me to pick it up after their business hour. Highly recommended for all your computer and phone needs!!!! Absolutely above and beyond. Took my laptop that had been dropped in for repair and it was fixed better and faster than before. Was told by other repair shops it was beyond fixable, but CompuTech had it back quicker than expected, over the holidays nonetheless. I did not have a good experience with CompuTech. I did not receive the diagnostic service that I paid them for. I found out after the fact that they were not equipped to diagnose my computer issue. They gave me a guess not a diagnosis; they acted like they were certain even though they had not done the necessary testing. They simply reperformed one or two steps that I had already told them that I had performed before I came in. I told them verbally and in writing what I had already done. When I picked up my computer I told them my concerns, but they did nothing to resolve them and took my money anyway.

After seeing that this location was open from 10-4 on Sundays, I arrived right at 10:00am only to find that no one was there to answer the door or the phone. Very unprofessional.

I had a friend take a tablet here, and she stressed how important it was to get it back quickly because she needed it for school. They kept the tablet for FIVE DAYS just to tell her they couldnt order a new screen. Ive called several different places around the valley and they ALL said they could get it.It is absolutely unacceptable to be kept waiting that long just to be told they cant fix it. Not to mention we found another place that is going to overnight the part and get it fixed tomorrow. Literally 20% of the time it took for them to say eh too bad.Absolutely horrible.

I took in my two laptops and they were very professional on getting them both diagnosed for me and fast with the repairs.

The wifi receiver on the laptop my daughter uses for her school from home suddenly stopped working. We took it to CompuTech solely based that they came up first when I did a search. We were very impressed with the turn around and frankness of the staff. They didnt try to upsell us on unnecessary equipment or services. So happy to recommend them and will use them again for future computer repairs if needed.

Was visiting area from out of town when spilled White Claw on Acer Aspire E15. Stopped by very late in the day and asked some questions about repair options. Very helpful and friendly service answered all of my questions. I was only in town for the day so I decided to wait til I got home to repair but still a great experience. Would recommend.

I took my computer to Best buy supposedly good quality and they did not fix my computer. I went 2 to 4 times but they could not fix it. Computech solved my computer problems and I am very satisfied.

I am truly pleased to have found these guys right in the middle fo South Salt Lake City. I arranged to drop off my LENOVO laptop and they ordered the parts necessary and replaced and set my machine as soon as the parts arrived. They stand by their work and are reasonably priced. I would not take my precious machine anywhere else. I returned and had them replace the hard drive ... same story !!! now the machine really gets it tasks done without stammering and stalling ... with clicks and very little waiting for things to happen. I give them a 5 star as they are also a minority (hispanic) based business and I trust them completely!

I went to CompuTech for help with transferring a SSD from my old laptop to a newer one, and they did a phenomenal job!My laptop was running SOOO SLOWLY, I was likely going to have to buy a new one, but for 1/5 the price of a new computer, they installed the SSD into my laptop and it’s now lightning fast. They also transferred all of the data from the old drive, so my files are still in tact.I highly recommend CompuTech!

My laptops hard drive gave out and I was worried that I would lose all my data dating back to 2014. I checked out a couple of other mainstream computer repair shops and they told me it would be too expensive and that I should just buy a laptop from them. Disappointed and hopeless, I called CompuTech and they told me they would take a look at it. Jose was professional from the beginning to end. He explained the problem, what it would take to fix it, and the different options I would have. He included me in the actual process and worked within my budget. He was able to transfer all my data over to a new hard drive and installed it into my computer. My laptop is up and running like new with all my files saved. I am VERY satisfied. Great shop!

My graphic-design rig was by damaged by a power surge. They saved my ssd hard drive and then checked each component to make sure everything was functioning safely and correctly. They could have charged a fortune for how long it took to get it working again, but they were very reasonable and did everything to keep the cost down. 10/10, would absolutely recommend!

I took my laptop here after it wouldnt power on and I couldnt detect what the problem was. First he thought it could be the power button (not a bad thought), but needed to wait for a tool to come in, which is understandable. Then he told me the motherboard was fried. I took it home, took it completely apart, re-seated everything as best as I could, and it started up! I fixed it in about 2 hours when they had it for almost a week. Im using the laptop right now.Pros: nice and professional, seems to know his stuff like an average technician.Cons: couldnt fix this one. Im sure it happens, but Id rather spend the time to fix my own laptop.

This place is awesome! My laptop was stuck on an endless loop of restarting windows and I took it here. They are very professional and tell you why theyre charging you and they walk you through what was wrong with it. I took it in and even though they were busy they had it fixed in 2 hours
