An amazing coffee shop with the kindest and most helpful staff! I have a once-a-week workout group that meets super early in the morning on Wednesdays and wanted a place to socialize afterwards. We checked out Salt Lake Roasting Co. one week and will never look back. In addition to being an awesome space, the staff, particularly Tom, have started showing up extra early on Wednesdays to make sure enough coffee is ready for our large group. Were so thankful to have found this place. Thank you so much for hosting us and serving up the best coffee!

Super cool spot! It has two floors, plenty of coffee books, greenery, and coffee beans from around the world! Lots of spots to sit at. Pretty good coffee and surprisingly, the medium hot latte came in a big cup! They also have a vegan quesadilla, vegan chimichanga, flax muffin, and everything bagel with hummus and guacamole!

What a gem. Upon walking in I was stunned by the large open space, cool decor, organic coffee choices, and wonderful looking food thats made in-house.The staff is very nice and I can tell they take pride in the coffee they are roasting and serving. Ill definitely be back to enjoy some coffee on the deck.

Great place to drink coffee, eat and work. They have a variety of coffee from different regions which is great. Im a big fan of fruity Brazilian coffees and I could choose the region I wanted. The food was excellent and reasonable priced espically the burritto. The place has a good amount of electrical outlets for laptop workers. Has an outside area to sit too if you want to sit outside. And a upstair area too. Service is good. And really nice trendy vibe.

Great place! Excellent service. Delicious coffee. The interior atmosphere is a funky mix of just trendy enough without being obnoxious and super cozy. Our workout group comes in once a week and despite being a large group, were always welcome with a smile.

Salt Lake Roasting Company is so great and welcoming! Our workout group shows up every week on Wednesday mornings at 6:30 am and we are a handful! But the roasting company team welcomes us every week with hot coffee and smiles! Thanks so much!

Wow this place is doing it all! Great food at a realistic and fair price. I love the way the make their coffee and... the beeeeeeans! Their great! WiFi is above average. The building is great with a raised ceiling to give plenty of room to think.

Good coffee, great staff.The quiche I got was delicious and appeared homemade. The avocado toast didn’t use fresh avocados, it looked like the guacamole you get in small containers at the grocery store and the salsa on top of it was also store bought. Still - it was good food and would recommend!

Incredibly informed staff who could rattle off tasting notes on demand. A must in SLC for coffee lovers and caffeine consumers alike.

Love this place. Locally owned and they have many single origin coffee beans that you can get made into your favorite caffeinated beverage, or taken to go as whole beans or ground in your style of choice. My favorite is their Ethiopia Natural, but strong marks for the El Salvador, which I have right now!

Very yuppy vibe here. High class hipster. Its a very cool place and absolutely fantastic drip coffee and espresso drinks.

I have been coming here since their older location across the street from the library. The Salt Lake Roasting Company still stands as my quintessential hangout spot. I love going there for the drinks and the atmosphere. Lively enough to enjoy a conversation with your friends on the weekend, yet chill enough to pack in a little bit of work-study on a weekday. The owner takes a ton of pride in the business and it shows in the staff as well. I appreciate what they do for the SLC culture.

This is my favorite coffee shop in SLC. Such a cool, OG coffee house vibe. The people are friendly and theres so many different roast options.

One of the best coffee spots in SLC. Robust, unique flavors. Their lobby is closed for COVID and they are taking a lot of safety precautions for the communitys health. A lot of their stuff (chai, mocha for example) is made in house. You can really taste the high quality and craft. Today I tried their veggie burrito as well. Absolutely delicious, although a bit spendy for the size. I cant wait to come again!

Came to town for a vacation. My rule while traveling is “don’t go to the same place twice.” We’ll even though I came here my first morning I came back my last morning as well. The food was good. Coffee and chai was great. Staff was nice. Can’t go wrong coming here.

SLRC has been a long time favorite of mine. The pastries are delicious and the coffee is the best. I have compared other local roasters and found that other coffees do not compare to the rich full flavors of Salt Lake Roasting Co. coffee. I’m no expert on coffee I just know what I like. Other roasters simply don’t roast as well as SLRC. Thanks for the many years of great coffee. I’ll keep going out of my way to buy my beans here.

Lovely location with a huge selection of coffees. I dont think any roaster in SLC does this big a selection. The coffee is great, be it the Nitro or your regular Espresso. The options for quick bites is equally impressive. With an open airy interior and lots of sitting space, no wonder this place is such a local favorite.

They do a great job with cortado. Nice selection of food for a cafe. Love the service and the hospitality. Great desserts.

Some of the freshest coffee in Salt Lake City! If you are looking for coffee downtown stop into the coffee roasters. They are true coffee masters. They serve all kinds of coffee from all around the world. You can get your fix from anywhere. The new location is a bit smaller but it is a lot nicer. Tons of study space and fresh smelling coffee if you come at the right times.

Great fruit tarts, respectful atmosphere for talking or getting work done (nobody on their phone or speakerphone) and plenty of seating.

Ive been going here on and off for 15 years, since they were at their old location. Always tasty coffee, usually a good dessert selection and relaxed atmosphere. I preferred the old location, but thats probably just because I spent so much time there in college. Coffee still tastes the same :) and thats what really matters.

One of my favorite local coffee shops! I have an espresso machine at home and I usually buy my beans here. They have been very helpful at answering my questions. The roasts I get from them are always fresh and have been easy to dial in for a good shot on my home espresso machine.

The seasonal drinks are a delight. Pastries here are really tasty and the breakfast burrito is good as well. There is an upper level which is nice for studying. The atmosphere is friendly and open. I got a flowering tea from the tea menu.

Ive been to both the old location and now the new. Although the new location is a little smaller, i like how they kept the same vibe and layout and it just seems more cozy and put together compared to their massive space back then. Coffee was great!

Great coffee with equally great atmosphere. Love the upstairs loft that over looks the main lobby. I enjoyed their iced Americano with a chocolate croissant as well. Great tea selection as well.

When in Salt Lake recently I sampled coffee from three different roasteries. I wont write a negative review on any, because they all had quality coffee. But in my opinion, The Salt Lake Roasting Co. was the best for flavor and selection. Salt Lake is lucky to have several roasteries.

They’ve got a legit food menu! Some neat seating outside and good vibes. Coffee was just okay; latte was a little too milky. Kinda like drinking warm milk. But my boyfriend got a cappuccino and he liked his! Maybe just don’t get the latte.

I went there for the first time today, and the people working there were so insanely nice and patient and kind! the person who took my order recommended the black mango tea and it’s incredible like it’s so good! i love it!! i also got a breakfast burrito and it was literally the best breakfast burrito i’ve ever had. i was tearing up bro. i’m going to think about it forever tbh. cured my depression tbh. i never leave reviews but that burrito was so good like i had to say something. 10/10 i definitely will go back

Dealing w COVID like champs, these guys are all over curbside/greet-outside-the-door service making everything as safe and efficient as possible. Great selection of sweet and savory pastries too.

The coffee is the beat in Utah. Its a great place to study and chill or do work. The regulars are friendly and great conversationalists. The baristas are by far the nicest people Ive met and are fast and friendly. The owner always makes sure that you are enjoying yourself and takes great pride in his coffee, vintage coffee roaster and his establishment.

We visited this coffee shop while on vacay and were thrilled with our visit! The hard working staff were friendly and the coffee delicious. The bagels we ordered were melt in your mouth fresh and warm out of the toaster. Would definitely recommend!

Visited here during the pandemic. Staff were fast, safe and efficient---and so friendly. I had a great cup of coffee so I returned the next day to buy some roasted beans to take home for myself and others. Visited again! Staff were so friendly and the coffee is excellent. Had an organic Guatemalan pour over and a bacon breakfast burrito. The burrito came with a house mayo and salsa which were absolutely delicious. The service was extremely friendly. It was a great way to start the weekend.

Love love love the café mocha, and the baristas are always really kind. Their quiche is also quite something. You can never go wrong with a few of the espresso beans. The interior is also awesome. I love the mix of the old-school and industrial style.

Best roasted coffees ever. The owner has traveled the world. In search of the best coffe sources. His knowledge of coffee,selections of varieties and skill in roasting is the best I have ever encountered. I order all my coffee for my family and get it delivered direct to my home. The Ethiopian long berry and Tanzania varieties are my absolute favorites. Their french roast is truly an original delight.If you love coffee you will fall in love with this place.

Never knew this place existed until I moved downtown for a short period of time. Would get coffee while walking the dogs, very fast service and great people always coming out and saying hello and thank you for coming in. These guys are amazing show them your support.

Honestly just think I caught a couple bad batches, but have tried a lot of other roasts since and bought green beans as well and feel theyve adjusted well to COVID times and Ive had several good experiences in a row now. Thanks for the improvement!Very kind people and good service (would give 5/5 on that), good environment for meetings and working on a computer, nice looking snacks/food. Unfortunately not a fan of the coffee at all. Have tried several times and the espresso tastes stale, woody, and just a bit funky to be honest. Maybe just not what Im looking for, but each time I was hoping for better taste and was just just not too pleased with the drink.
