Ive been shopping here for awhile and being from NY this place reminds me of home. Store Is well stocked and staff gets the Job done. Its an Inner city store (basically Downtown) more people need to be grateful for the space they occupy.

Considering the location and type of customers that shop at this one, they do a good job at keeping the store organized and stocked to the best of their ability. Workers are constantly stocking shelves everytime I go. Friendly staff. Make sure you lock your car before going in.

Prices are great but there are literally no carts and they could purchase them and not let people take them out like the one on 39th. Other than that its a good store.

Meh, I guess for where its located it cant help but be run down and look sketchy. Obviously, the pandemic keeps their shelves pretty bare right now. All in all, its a typical family dollar.

The employees are so friendly! They invite your pet in for biscuits. The store is huge and has tons to choose from.

I moved to this direct area about 15 or 16 months ago . Since that time , and I will even say the 3-5 months prior to the move in date , this location has been my Go To store for whatever it may had been and I knew I could count on you guys to either have what I need or know that it is set to be delivered the next day or two. Also the only time something is out of place or not clean was when a truck just delivered a shipment to be put away! Tonight the store was trashed, there was nothing there that I needed, but the worse part was how rude the cashier was.

Same location Ive been going to for over a decade, its had its moments. But its actually very clean and organized right now... So enjoy your shopping. Has my approval

The staff here is really nice however the store looks like its in shambles. There is always products and empty boxes all over the ground.

Cashier was not wearing a mask, No sign on the door asking people to wear masks. There was no attempt to space out people waiting in line for the cashier and people were so close to me I had to ask a guy to back off - it was so uncomfortable - the least they could do is mark some Xs with tape on the ground so dumb people know how far back to stand.

Besides the best prices and huge selection, maybe FD could use a little help when its shipment day. The workers tonight left a glass shattered in the aisle then shooed me out for sweeping it into a pile. That job is stressful, I get it, but seriously, if I had cut my feet, heaven forbid anyone does! Must be the moon.

I am a fussy shopper. And I do believe that an assistant manager is supposed to keep their cool stabelize a rude customer.I was in the store next to Reams in South Salt Lake 10-13-17 the night before and bought a really nice sweater there. I came home to try it on, since they have NO fitting room. The sweater didnt fit right and since I had my receipt for the purchase I just wanted to return it for a refund.I took the sweater and the receipt with me to prove I purchased the sweater. I did expect to get a refund but without the drama!I was asked for my phone number, my address, my email address, etc. I feel its an invasion of my privacy and since I had already provided the receipt..... I felt theres NO reason I should have to provide the store with all my private personal information and I made that clear.Here comes an assistant manager, she took over the transaction and everything was fine until she started in on me! She said Id been in HER store before and have complained about things before and started picking an argument with me.... Things got a little over heated (language) so I left the store as she was yelling at me, I could no longercome in the store. I yelled 4 letter word back at her.THEN she follows me out of the store to my car!!!!! She actually. CALLED ME OUT to a fight !! She said she could and would KICK MY ____. I told her I was going to call the corporate office and tell them about my experience in that particular store. She told me to go ahead because she was going to call also.I cannot believe Family Dollar hires people like her, especially in a management position.I am more than happy to not ever shop that store again.

The manager now of the store is awesome. That store has never looked better ever!. She works her tail off and she deserves a raise and a break now that christmas is over. So does the older lady (June) i think. Im horrible with names. They both are hard workers and the company would be foolish to not reward them.. Foolish i say!!! Reward them so that those of us customers will keep going to a store that is kept tidy and stocked.. Otherwise you will burn them out and run them off like many before but the difference is these women are above average by far..

The Family Dollar on State Street in SLC, UT. Is not worth going too. The Place is a Mess, Boxes Everywhere, Shelves are Empty. No One at the RegisterStaff is Rude & Unwillingly to Help, Only One Employee

I would never come back to that Store bcusae there Is a old lady that was super rude that said to my kids and nephew that where going to with pay10c AND 25c that she does not have Time to cownt all that and and my kids and nephew wanted there candy AND there water AND she was SUPER rude AND there was a lady who was Steling AND the lady just said that if she comes back she Will call the cops but she did not do nothing NEVER going there back again.

It was ok the parking lot needs updated for sure.

I visited this store today. They had chemicals and bleach that had spilled all over the floor and spread across more than 1 isle. The smell was so strong and horrible. No one was cleaning up the spill and no signs was near the spill.

The employees at this store are sweet. But its in a terrible neighborhood. The products also used to be less expensive than they area now...But for no reason. Theres usually an unbalanced person or 3- stealing, screaming or causing a general ruckus. If youre fine with that, cheers!

I didnt catch the name of the lady that helped me but she is the Asst. Manager and shewas the nicest family $ worker Ive ever come in contact with. She deserves a HUGE raise. And this was by far the biggest family $ store Ive ever been in.

The store is so messy and disorganized! There is merchandise strewn all over blocking the middle of the isles. Its very sad really because I recently started couponing with their app but just cant do it anymore. I became instantly anxious upon walking in the store today and couldnt find a lot of the things I wanted. Such a chaotic environment takes all the fun out of shopping. It almost makes me wonder if this is one of the stores that is closing because it look like they were counting inventory... products all over the floor and the shelves were bare. I asked the checker and she said they were short-staffed but things would be back in shape next week. I dont think so because things have been getting progressively worse as the weeks go by. Sad. *** Went back on April 6th and store was much cleaner and more organized.

I like this store I shop here for my products I use each month like laundry things, cleaning products, bathroom products, some clothes, and misc items. I think it has good prices overall. The environment is friendly.

I walked in to family Dollar store on 2850south street like I do daily and there was an employee there I didnt reconise he was a small man around 5foot redish hair and mustache I saw the bottles of cokeon the for a dollar table so I went directly over there and saw that there was one bottle on the table just then that same employee came up and ask me whats up and I said have you any more in the back or stored I,d like to get some more and he replied there one and I said yes I can see that I was wondering if you had more and the employee replied again with smart ass remark ya theres one right there in front of you so instead of and argument I started walking out if the store and this employee was right on my heals saying to me whats wrong sir whats the ploblem I saying nothing contiuned to exit the building and the employee started yelling at me saying I was 86th from the store and verblely asulting me as I was walking thru the parking lot the employee was out side the store and hanging on the door yelling and verblely saying nasty stuff like you theating me Im going to call the cops its all on camera so take a look and you will see this man had me so up set that I Steve Aman of 5ft 10 230pds shaking because I was so pissed off and could not do anything then as was sitting down at reams grocery store I saw the cops driving around family Dollar wow I will make sure I tell all my ward church members about this and guarantee that this employee and and store will never get our neighbor Hood buessness ever again I cant believe these cooperate offices let individuals such as this man work at family Dollar store wow Im apold and shocked what took place trying to get my wife a coke wow Im still amazed at this treatment

Worst customer service, older employees yelling at other customers kids. Dirty, cluttered store. Clothing always a mess. We used to shop here regularly for house supplies since we live a few blocks away but I will no longer shop here.

This place is not in Chicago!!!! Google maps brought me to an abandoned building underneath the green line train tracks on the south side... needless to say, there was no family dollar there. Upon further examination, the address listed is in Utah but has the same street address as this little abandoned building in south loop.
