Deseret Book at City Creek is a hugh store with wonderful items. You can found there beautiful gospel art in a variety of prices, many many books, a childrens section, stationery, missionary section, and a whole part just fir temple items. My recent discoveries are the Crumble cookies and Icecream from BYU creamery!! Isnt that fantastic??!!

Beautiful store!!! On your left: Like an art museum, but for free, and everyone is laid back and super nice. A true celebration of the plan of happiness 😊 Go right and you find treasures for kids and friends and family. The kind of presents you feel good about giving. Great book store. My first time visiting and it was everything I hoped it could be. They had books, toys, picture prints and most importantly Crumble cookies. I found the prices to be fair and the staff to be awesome. Will definitely return. I would recommend to anyone and everyone. I believe they offer more services than just books. I saw dresses there and jewelry.

I explained to the gal working at check out why I was there, and she took me back to the exact spot I needed to go. Before she had walked away, she already had used her radio to have another associate help me. In and out with a smile in 5 minutes!

After being a regular visitor of this Deseret Book for almost a year, I figured it’s time to leave a review.I love this store. They always have the most uplifting and spiritual selection of artwork, books, home decor, and much more. The employees are always so quick and eager to help customers. From Johnathon to Michelle to Scott to Heather to Neil — all of them, really — they’ve always delivered amazing customer service. They’re always able to give their honest opinions and recommendations for gospel-related books, and they’ve even helped me find the PERFECT books or gifts, even when I wasn’t sure what I was looking for!It’s easy for me to say that I love this place, since I love bookstores in general. But this is THE bookstore to bring your family to downtown. There’s a Crumbl cookie shop inside, fun 3D printers to watch, a beautiful gallery of art, a kids’ section with books and TVs with children’s’ shows, and even a few seats and tables to sit, lounge, and charge your phone.If you visit as often as I do, I would recommend signing up for their platinum rewards program. It’s $25/year but I’m pretty sure I’ve gotten back at least $100 in store credit. I think it was Christopher who first told me about this program, and it’s honestly the best! I’ve literally bought DOZENS of books from this store, and it’s worth it!This Deseret Book location is always changing up their decor to match the season, whether it’s Christmas or Easter or any other relevant holiday. The bathrooms are always clean, which is such a bonus!I always visit this store when I’m downtown, and when Temple Square feels a little too chaotic because of the construction, I come here. A great place for all kind of people even not member of the church of. Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, you can find books , games , 3D printing , art, cloths miscellaneous stuff the prices are fair and the atmosphere is perfect. Great bilingual employees

Im not sure if I like the new remodeling. Less books, bargain shelves are gone. Half the store promoting an autobiography, I wasnt impressed although I understand the need for publicity to sell a genre that doesnt naturally sell well. Got what I came for though and the prices are still in general reach. We found help when needed and were treated well and sent straight where we needed.

I loved how many options there were for books, missionary things, painting, and willow trees figurines. There is also byu creamery inside. It was very nice and quiet. Employees were also very helpful.

There was a problem with the pricing on something I bought and the cashier was great to fix the problem.

I am not, perhaps, the target audience for this chain; perhaps that may have led to my experience. I had requested a book on the history of the settlement of Utah and the valley. I was indifferent to whether or not it was from the perspective of the Church of Latter Day Saints or not, something that may not have been clear.I was warned that they didnt have much, and shown to a section focused primarily on what I would describe as... Ephemera? Perhaps thats not the best word. After a few minutes browsing their history section I wandered off, only to find what I was looking for on the wall in pride of place. Unfortunately I had to leave before I could pay for it, and I cant quite remember the name, though I will know it when I stop by to pick it up later. But had I not found it myself, I would never have done so. I enjoyed browsing, though when I ask for something, am taken to the wrong place, and then have to find it myself I sour somewhat on the experience.Their selection seems adequate, though obviously focused on the Church and dictated by this mission. Nothing glaringly obvious was missing, and they had a reasonable selection of bibles, not only the official LDS one. If you are interested in religious art or clothing, they can cater to that as well. Prices tended to be in line with the publishers recommendations; their own books seemed surprisingly cheap but I cant vouch for their prices elsewhere.As is usual for companies connected to the church, it is closed on Sunday. This is not a factor in the rating, which I may very well raise. There is also a Crumbl cookie shop connected, which has a small assortment of gifts but a smaller selection of cookies than usual.

Nicely remodeled book store full of good books and church materials. Very nice staff and easy to find layout. The art gallery is interesting to peruse. They don’t know what they are doing putting a crumble in the store! Oh they know exactly what they are doing! Same with the cougar creamery ice cream!

I love Deseret Book. They have so many great spiritual books, young adult books, home items and decor, ties, pictures and artwork,, gifts, and other great things. The location downtown has fresh cookies and a distribution center as well.

Beautiful artwork hangs at the entrance to enjoy as you walk over to get your Crumbl cookies (that only sells chocolate chip cookies). Thats as far as I went in the store, so I cant tell you more. But they have some cute gifts for the kitchen next to Crumbl and a gallery of artwork to buy from as well.

This Deseret Book in downtown Salt Lake City is beautiful! I visited after a concert, for my first time, and I was so impressed! It is big and spacious. It has a Crumbl bakery which makes everything smell amazing. The artwork selection is really good as well as the home decor items and of course, the books. It also has all the distribution items for The Church if Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. This really is a beautiful store and one worth visiting.

I put a book on hold on a Wednesday for 24 hours and forgot to go pick it up. They called me the next day and said theyd hold it again, and I forgot again. I remembered on Saturday, they called me again before I could call them, and the book was still on hold. It was a really highly sought-after book, so I was so grateful they held it for me. I went and got it that day. They were so nice and understanding.On a completely unrelated note, they have a Chip cookie in the lobby. Which made for a very tasty treat for my daughter and I when we picked the book up! 🙂

Desert Book is a wonderful store! It sells mostly religious related material such as nativities, paintings of Christ and the temples, as well as books about and written by apostles. You can also find music that is mostly religious, as well as novels and movies both religous and not. Theyre always well kept and theres a great spirit in the building! Its fun to look around at all the cool things and the workers there are always nice as well. One of my favorite stores!

I was looking for a new release and Deseret Book like usual had it first, Nick was great and took care of us, such a kind guy. This location has tons of expensive and unique artwork, so if you are looking to add something for your collection this is the place to dig in.

Clean, neat, orderly shop. I needed something fast and didnt have time to browse so looked for a helper to help. I found one at the front desk and he quickly finished what he was doing and walked me to the item I needed instead of pointing or telling me where I should go. Very helpful! I found it, picked it up, followed him to the checkout and closed the sales in under 4 minutes. Awesome!!! Thanks Deseret Book! Very Awesome!!!

The downtown dessert book is very beautiful. That isnt something you normally say about a retail store, but this one is. There is also a crumble cookie inside and crumble is a very fantastic cookie place. The store is very clean and organized and all the sections are clearly marked making it easy to find what you are looking for.

I LOVED the old desert book. I was sad to see them remodel. It feels really stiff now. I enjoyed their clearance book section. We asked and they no longer hang on to their clearance. Its just not as inviting as it was. Sad that it seems good things come to an end!

Dessert book is awesome. Great place to get the latest literature from the Church of Jesus Christ. Also a great place to get other uploading literature.Awesome location just off Temple square. Lots of book signings happen here. Or CD signings.

Super friendly and helpful. There is a Distribution Center located here and they helped me find the right fitting for the cloths that I needed. I even returned some cloths that didnt stay together very well and they gave me much nicer and better fitted clothing right there. Cool place to visit too with a great atmosphere.

They have everything you cn imagine to fit your spiritual needs.

Helpful staff and a great selection of childrens items. The store feels a bit cramped with the new layout but overall, I enjoy scoping out the new merchandise. We bought the Brick Em Young Legos and they were a huge disappointment. They dont work like real Legos unfortunately, more like Legos from the DollarTree.

I love the atmosphere here. The staff is super friendly and helpful. I can always find something as a gift or for myself. I seriously want everything in this store hahaSometimes it gets a bit busy, but I can spend hours here and I love that this location has Crumbl Cookies!

Great bookstore to visit if in the Salt Lake city area. They also have a big variety of latter Day Saints board games pictures books movies etc you find a little bit of everything that you can find in a good book store. The things they sell there are of good quality, it can be a bit expensive but check out that discounted section. So give it a visit next time you visit Salt Lake city. Sometimes they have some famous people that go there to meet fans so you might be there once that happened.

You walk in and are immediately greeted by some of the nicest people! The entire building is so bright and calming. And they have everything you could ever want to study!

Staff was courteous. The large gallery of pictures was nice to view. The selection of posters was disappointing, though. We came to the store for the purpose of picking out some affordable posters that we could display in our home. But selection was minimal. I am sure the selection would have been better online.

I was in your store nearly three years ago in March 2016/April 2016. The only problem I had was knowing that I wouldnt have enough space in my luggage to take all that I wanted, back to my home in South Africa. I loved, loved, loved your store and the wonderful items. I hope that I will be able to return one day and spend time and money there. I wish we had your store in South Africa.
