I went here for my birthday to get my first Bonsai tree. This place has tons of options and was very beautiful. Ethan and Elsa were WORLD CLASS when it came to helping me and my friend find the perfect tree. They were so personable, professional and passionate. Ethan’s pot dressing skills were exactly what I wanted. Such an awesome experience. I recommend to anyone looking for a plant ir a bonsai tree.

This place was surprisingly cool. Not a plant guy, but needed to pick up some for a friend. The young lady that helped me was really friendly and helpful. I didnt have any clue of what I was looking for, but she answered all of my questions and helped me choose the right plant. The prices were reasonable and there are plenty of bonsai plants in the store. Plenty of parking on the street.

Iv been a customer for years and drive nearly 20 miles passing a few places I could get similar plants for my animals. The second I walked through the door I was greeted by bailey. She was able to answer all my questions and we even talked about the Elephant Palm that had some history with the store that had been sold. I found myself trusting her like I trust the store Iv purchased many plants from that go into making my cages come to life. Iv sent many friends their way over the years to buy plants for similar projects and gifts! I wouldve recommend them to anyone thats sick of corporate companies taking the life out of everything!

I love Paradise Palm SLC! I love how knowledgeable their employees are whenever I have had questions about the plants that I’m buying. They always have a great selection of plants and I love that they update their social media whenever they get in new shipments. Such great customer service! I also love that they truly care about the safety and well-being of their employees AND customers. Thank you for enforcing masks in the store during the pandemic. I’ll be back!

Super cool place to get plants.

This place is a sanctuary I could live in! It is so full and alive and I feel embarrassed for the people who called it dirty. Its full of plants! From the Earth! That live in...dirt! The plants are incredible in here, healthy and thriving. The store owner was who was working and so incredibly helpful and kind. I asked about a plant and was given such a neat back story on it. Its these types of places we should frequent more often instead of big box stores. Theres a lot of love and dedication here.

Paradise Palm is my first go-to when Im in the market for luscious, verdant plants. Its staff is super friendly and always willing to field questions I have about what plant to buy and how to take care of it. I appreciate that PP is open during the pandemic and taking the precautions (i.e., abiding by the states mask mandate) to keep patrons and their wonderful selves safe!

One of my favorite places in SLC. I love going and just hanging out with all the cool plants, its really relaxing and chill. The employees Ive encountered are friendly and knowledgeable and have gone the extra mile to help me at times :) also, I greatly appreciate the store doing their best to keep their customers and staff safe right now by requiring masks. I hope to stop by soon and see what theyve got to offer!

Absolutely love this store! We’ll make the trip from Ogden just to enjoy a day of plant shopping here. The owner is super friendly and everyone working there is so well educated on each and every plant. They’ve got such a large variety and you’ll find some of the rarest plants there! You definitely have to be quick when trying to purchase the rare ones as they sell out fairly quick but rightfully so. So thankful I stumbled across this store one day.

I have snagged some random deals here, most recently a 5.5ft long string of hearts. Its a really neat space to wander through, and potentially find cool plant to bond with. So proud to have such a neat spot in SLC.

The best selection of plants around, and always changing varieties. We have been coming here for 6 years now ever since the owner was nice enough to keep the store open late and help my husband organize a special proposal for me in their beautiful jungle. We still have the bonsai plant he gifted us that night - it is growing strong!They truly go above and beyond for their customers.

I always enjoy when I get to go plant shopping and this little local plant shop is great for it. The atmosphere feels like a happy jungle.I usually go there for my large plants and they are always so happy & healthy.

EDIT: So I do want to update this review because Im assuming in terms of the cebu, communication wasn’t clear that we were just asking how often they might get them in and I was under the impression that the last time they saw them was a looong time ago, when to my knowledge they had some a few weeks prior. I guess what was trying to be said was they only got them that one time throughout their time as a business. I knew that they were sold out, but I was curious if they would ever get any more in. Turns out the whole thing was just misunderstood.The previous times I’ve been in, there just hasn’t been anyone to help me out, which I get can happen when you don’t have many staff in at the moment but from a customer stand point it was frustrating. I do stand by the opening time and how we did stand outside and wait, because the door was for sure locked and the signage was turned off.I also would just like to say, I did not post this review because I’m in “disbelief” and I’m “upset” that they don’t have cebu. I get it. I knew it was a rare plant to begin with, it was simply a misunderstanding where I thought they where being dishonest about getting them in so recently. And I was wrong about that, and for that I apologize. That is not the sole reason I ever docked stars off this review. I really don’t appreciate this company throwing this statement around on social media, regardless of if they mention who it’s about or not. Very unprofessional and it kind of makes me feel bad for something I shouldn’t.—————Been in a couple times and it is a pretty nice shop, but typically no one is there to help you out very often. They lack majorly in customer service. I was in the area this past week and decided to stop by, I realized they didn’t open for a few more minutes so I waited. Stood outside and waited 15 minutes past the time the shop is supposed to open. Went in to browse around and my boyfriend had asked the guy in there about a plant that’s been on my wish list for quite some time(cebu blue!), the guy told us they are essentially impossible to find and hasn’t seen them in 20 years....? I know they are on the rare side, and when they are around they go fast! But I’m also fully aware they had the cebu in stock at this store a couple weeks ago, so I honestly don’t know why he would’ve said this. Nice shop, but the customer service is just bad every single time come here.

Beautiful greenhouse and a really fun ambience. Plenty of plants to choose from… I really like to go here to get succulents and cactus is, their prices are very affordable and their plants are all very healthy. The staff are very friendly and personable and it’s a pretty clean place even though it’s a little bit crowded but at least it’s crowded with plants… I recommend this place to anyone who’s looking for a healthy happy plant.

Large selection, but not many plants have listed prices or even labels saying what species the plant is. I waited nearly 15 minutes to even find an employee. After that I then waited for nearly 5 minutes at the checkout desk asking for help from one of the employees who finally came out of the backroom yet she only glared at me and went back to using her phone and ignoring me. Extremely unprofessional and rude and I felt like I was not welcome at all. I just wanted to ask someone there questions about the cactuss they had in stock, and I never got an answer. Very disappointed in the service.

I bought my mom a bonsai tree and had the shop re-pot the plant as a Mother’s Day gift. Although she took very well care of it everyday (she owns many houseplants), she noticed the plant was wilting. We suspect the plant was reported incorrectly and cause damage to the tree. We took the plant back to the shop and they insisted to try to take care of the plant for a couple weeks to see if they could revive it. if they could not, they promised a new tree, free of charge. my mom came back and the plant had not survived. they asked her to pick a new one but they no longer had the specific tree I bought for her. They told her to come back when they had a new shipment come in, and she came back multiple times with no luck. She went back today and found the tree she liked. However this time they said they had to charge her for the new tree although they originally promised her a replacement. They only gave her 20% off. This is not what was promised. I am livid and upset about this. I spent over $90 and now my mom had to pay extra even though though it was not her fault. What terrible customer service. I am never recommending this place to anyone.

Best little plant store in the city.

Walking in this stunning place is an experience in itself! The staff is friendly and knowledgable, and have a passion for plants that is apparent! Ive gotten most of my house plants from them, and have been thrilled.

I’ve driven by this place for years and thought it looked cool. I figured it was an expensive place for rich people. Well, I guess today I was feeling rich because I went in and it was...super affordable!! Great plants for like $13! The girl working the counter was very helpful. She helped me buy 8 plants, knew which ones were pet-friendly and told me exactly how to take care of them. This is a great place to get succulents, cacti, and Chinese money trees! My daughter and I had a great time here today and will be telling our friends as well.

If you order something for delivery don’t expect it to get done anytime soon. He promised us it would come in a week and it took three months. We called multiple times during that and every time he would promise that week. Finally they brought it but didn’t bring the pot we had arranged to be included. He said he’d bring the pot this week but it’s the same story - gonna have to go pick it up myself if I ever want it.

Walked into the store and immediately heard an employee rudely getting after someone who took a photo of a plant. They said that the owner gets “really bummed” and that you need to ask permission. They kept going on about needing to ask permission, and tag the store and “Mary”. Not 60 seconds into walking in we were asked if we were just “browsers” or if we were going to buy something, imagine that, browsing at a shop. At that point the decision was easy and we left. Plants were pricey and unimpressive (to put it lightly) anyway. Save your time and money and visit a different local plant shop.

I went in to buy a plant for a friend in the hospital and the owner was incredibly kind and supportive. He through in a discount and low cost planter. He had an intuition I needed some support and I left in tears. Felt like I connected with a human and not a business owner.

John was so helpful. I asked him about a plant that was struggling and he suggested I send him a picture. His response was immediate and helpful. He also suggested I keep him updated. I love that he cares about the plants enough to even ask that!The selection of plants is so beautiful too! It is worth a trip to visit!

The size and beauty of these plants is amazing! It truly brings you back to Nature being inside this place. And the best part, you can take some of it home with you.

Their variety of plants is only exceeded by their customer service. I brought a cactus I owned to the store to increase the storage and soil. The person working there gave me ample advice on how my breed of cactus grows, the kind of soil needed, and other vital information to maintain it.

My boyfriend bought me a cactus from Paradise Palm that after 6 months wasnt doing so well. We contacted an employee and sent in photos of the plant. They were able to diagnose the issue as a lack of direct sunlight. The plant is doing great now. Thanks for your help!

I went in for plants that would help keep my home air fresh not knowing a thing about them. The staff educated me on what plants were the easiest to take care of while having the most air-cleaning potential, and they even potted the plants and gave me decorative rocks for free.

I have been here several time and always leave happy. I brought in my bonsai and the staff was very helpful. I also bought a pomegranate bonsai from here and it has been growing very well. I will continue to shop at Paradise Palm and I highly recommend it.

This is a very cool store. Its in a refurbished garage and is full of (what else?!) plants! They have a wide selection, and the plants are well cared for and healthy. All of the employees are very knowledgeable.

I absolutely love this place! They have many varieties of plants like Succulents, Cacti, House Plants and many more! I tell lots of people about this place and I had gotten a 40 dollar gift card and cant wait to go and get some plants. I always try and give an excuse for myself to go and browse the store. I love the selection of tropical plants there. The staff is great, they always give you a laugh when you check out and give advice on your plants, such as I bought a Aloe Vera and The cashier told me to get it straight home, out of the car so it would survive the HOT day! I follow them on Instagram and keep them on notifications to see whats up. They give good feed and post hourly to give updates on the store and plants. BTW they are giving boxes away and I am helping a friend move and will be stopping by soon. And yes everyones comments are to give reviews on this service but saying he should stick to watering his plants is surely immature and shouldnt be working with other services because we all know that is VERY childish. But they are a great service and cant let you down, SO I HIGHLY RECOMMEND PARADISE PALMS!!!!!

I have been coming here for years. I absolutely love to come in and just breath in the fresh air. They have a ton of plants and knowledge on how to care for the plants. Also when my son was about 9 months old he accidentally ingested a leaf off one of my plants. I was so worried, I called Paradise Palm and asked if the plant was poisonous or dangerous to my son, they had all the info and told me where to find the info on the plant. Luckily it was not toxic and I learned more about all the plants in the house and there toxicity. I call them and send them pictures of plants that I see, but dont know what they are, they always know and can order it in if I want it. They are Fabulous.

The large indoor plant I bought from here had a serious mealybug infestation. Luckily I caught it before the infestation spread to my other plants. It was so bad, I had to remove it from my home after many treatments with Neem Oil. So disappointing. I will not be purchasing another plant from here.

Great place to buy bonsai and a great place to take your bonsai (or any plant) if you need advice. They will even help you re-pot your plants etc.

Sad to say John is not a person you can trust. Bad experiences with John and his negligent and unprincipled business practices. It may be in the interest of integrity to buy/contract your plants elsewhere until he can resolve his malpractices.
