As far as selection and quality of meats/produce 5 stars, as far as customer service not so much. Several of the employees were pretty rude letting other customers go first and giving me dirty looks. Even one of the customers pointed it out and told them that was wrong. Just because Im white doesnt mean I should be treated differently in any aspect.

My family always comes here for the meat and the workers used to be very friendly and happy but lately they have been all very serious and rude. I went in yesterday and waited in line to get meat and the one guy working over the counter ignored us and kept helping the people behind us I waited with my daughter and hoped he would acknowledge us but nope he kept attending to the other people coming in after us. we waited about 10min until one of the other guy workers that was cutting up meat saw we had been waiting and came to us and helped us out. he was a gentleman not like the other one completely ignoring us Not cool :( We miss the happy friendly workers.

Very poor customer service, I had issue with a grocery soo I called the store, they told me to go talk a mager, I went to the store to talk to a manager they said you need to wait manager is out for lunch, soo I wait for about 20 minutes finally she get back I explained my situation and this person MANAGER had no access nothing she was not able to resolve my issues, that is horrible experience, made a purchase of $ 43.79 I have no receipt because I didnt get one, but I was able to proof my purchase by calling my bank,

This place has good meat to cook. Nice and fresh. They also have some bomb food made on the weekends with good prices too.

Let me tell you guys that if you really want a good produce and meat selection. Then this is a high top location for that. You can also get a lot of groceries here for cheap and stop by in the spring and summer when they are cooking chicken outside. One of the best chicken recipes you will find on a grill.

Refused to acknowledge that I was there and purposefully slowed down. While helping a customer,they said that they were going to slow down because there were white people behind them and the customer said that was fine. Little did they know that I understand Spanish

Stopped in here for the first time on a recommend. Glad I stopped their chicken outside is awesome. I didnt realize at the time they got home made tortillas to so next time I go thats what Im getting ! I will be going back

The taco cart outside is definitely Among the best tacos Ive ever had. Tortillas are hand made to perfection. There are two taco stands but The taco stand that I like is only there Friday & Saturday. 5-10pm!

Went to El Torito on Monday and had a horrible experience. When i walked in the door i was hit by a very strong pungent smell that was horrible it smelled like rotting food very unclean smell. Needless to say i will not be back again. My 6 yr old was holding his nose and said the smell gave him a headache. I know the health department would not approve of the either. Bad , Bad, Bad.

Im a gringo who visits Salem. All the basic ingredients for me to cook Mexican for my friends. The kitchen in back will cook street tacos with a condiment bar and a small table area in the store. Sunday lots of families will be buying all the stuff for tacos at home. Sat and Sun?? they grill Pollos outside to be done around 4. Yum

It a good market. It has many things and the price is better than other places. It doesnt have all latin products, but you can find some of them. If you look for Peruvian products; you wont find anything. They have the harina P.A.N for arepas and good soft cheese.

Great meat market here, and delicious guac. Inexpensive al pastor which is delicious! Home made tortillas as well. This place is often very busy, so try to shoot for the less busy times because the checkout line can take forever!

Wonderful people, wonderful prices, very clean and packed with nonmeat items like nice fresh fruit and vegetables, and can goods you wont find most places! Well worth a trip to explore all the fun foods and meats!

Dont buy here! Today I went to buy 2lbs of deismillo meat, and they gave me little meat and a lot of fat in the meat. They are good to charge you per pound, but they give you more fat than anything and they gave me almost no meat.They wanted me to pay $ 10 worth of meat when I actually only had half a pound of meat.
