I go to JANN FABRIC & CRAFTS for most of my knitting needs. I wish they had a bigger selection of knitting needles. Pointed &/or round needles with a cable. They mostly have the bamboo needles & also some metal needles. The bamboo round knitting needles have additional cables available so you can screw the cable on & off. They used to have bigger selection.This is only a review of the store inside,not any online shopping.

Great fabrics but Hobby Lobby has you beat on crafts, paints fondant in reasonably priced pkgs.

Guess their coupon policies keep changing, and the store becomes less and less customer friendly and helpful every day. Now the clerks say rude things about you right in front of you. They must have gone back to their old policy of only helping people they think are socially in, or who go to the right church.

Its Joanns. Consistent. Staff were nice. They had what we were looking for, edible pens! Halloween section was pretty torn up, just like all the stores Halloween sections. Order more Halloween stuff, please! Halloween was also already discounted on 9/10....

Very busy today but they were well staffed to handle it. Minimal wait times.

When the topic is fabrics its better to consult the professionals, there are also several quite pretty ones in serene atmosphere (comfort zone/next to heaven). Take your best friends.

Im glad to have a Joanns close. When they remodeled I was hoping for a little more room in the aisles. Still spend to much there because I always find things I dont need but buy anyway. I love their sales!!!

Whenever I go there I go with a mission. I have never not found what I needed. In fact I have often found what Id been looking for all over town not thinking to check there. LOL I need to be more willing to think outside of the box.

Not a bad place to look for craft supplies. Seems like all the prices are a bit too much now. The cashier staff could be a bit more professional when speaking to customers but i suppose it could just be one particular employee.

I run an online shop and whenever I need something quick to fill an order this is my go-to. Specifically, for Gildan shirts or Cricut supplies. But, several times I have ordered online for curbside and they zero me on items the website says they have a ton of. A few times I have gone inside and found it sitting right where it should be on the shelf. Staff are too lazy to look for it and just zero it. Hobby lobby and Michaels have a better selection and always have what I need but are less convenient when Im in a rush. They also removed the curbside parking so they expect you to illegally park in a fire lane just so they dont have to walk. Lazy staff and a lack of work ethic.

Bigger store with lots of inventory. Fabric and sewing, silk flowers, kid stuff, painting and drawing supplies etc. Helpful employees. I rarely have anything bad to say about fabric/ craft stores.

I love Joann’s, they have coupons galore to make every purchase a good deal! I’m new to sewing clothing and quilting and I haven’t explored many other fabric stores as they are pretty limited in Salem. But I love Joann’s!

We tend to go here for fabric, molds & oddities. Prices and be a bit high hut they constantly have great sales and clearance items. I love getting yarn from them as it always seems to be on sale for 40% off or higher! A novice knitters dream come true. I enjoy their generous quantity of fabrics. Great quality for making blankets for your kids or other younger family members. Customer service is decent. Youll most likely have to be direct with the employees if you want attention or help of some sort as they tend to keep to themselves. Overall, great store!

The gal who helped me was didnt seem interested only showed us where to look, then walked away, I had to walk to the fabric counter and called out for assistance. She wasnt friendly or even that pleasant. Disappointing!

It has been a long time since I visited the store, so I learned that it has been reorganized.😱 Employees, as always, were very helpful to help us find the fabrics that we found on the app. There is so much merchandise, that it helped me create my wish list before I went to the store.

Staff is not very friendly and not willing to assist when you ask for help. Frustrating to try and find something when not familiar with their store. Wont be back.

I dont really like the lace or button options here. No one greatest me as I entered or left. There were little associates on the floor most were working registers.

They have alot more things then I thought they would have. The cameras on the isles are pretty strange I was heading down the bead isle to look at the beads and someone starting talking to me over my shoulder(so it sounded) I turned and looked up at the camera that was talking to me and it did that many more times so it thru me off a bit.

Pretty lame...go west through the parking lot 500-800 feet and youll find Hobby Lobby. They have 10x more selection. Better, more helpful staff, and a clearance sale year-round. Plus here is a coupon for 40% off any non-sales item. Just go to hobby lobbys page it is right at the bottom...this one is good for this week. But every week they make a new one standard.

I like that I had a coupon for 20% off on Saturday and I was able to find what I needed for cheap. The newer set up within the last year to me is a disaster and does not flow well. Not to mention things are not labeld well in the store. I feel the store always looks dirty and dungey.

Like going there see what I can get in too with hobby stuff.

I love searching through remnants here, and nabbing unique fabric swatches for future projects. And the button selection is awesome, too. As with other chain stores, you have to have time to Snoop for ideas and bargains. Its not Mood,(NYC fame) however you can find much more than you really need here, and each team member goes above and beyond to help guide you.

I’d advise against using the “Pick Up In Store” feature on their online website. I went to the store thinking it’d be a simple process—buy your items online and pick them up in store. Turns out that one of the items I bought was out of stock even though on the website it said it had “3 left.” The clerks were helpful although it was explained to me IN store that the site is not always accurate. So just be forewarned.

I love this store, often my go-to place for my crafting needs. Today however was not a good experience. I needed some help finding something and there wasnt a single employee to be found. Everyone was either checking or cutting fabric. Once I was in line I overheard a lady asking a passing employee for assistance to which the employee responded that she didnt have time because they were understaffed. First of all, RUDE! Secondly, why are they so understaffed? Thirdly, even if they are she should have helped the customer. Is this a sign of things to come? Should I be worried or is it just this one store?

By far the largest Joann I have ever been to! This is in Salem, Oregon. Even though there were a lot of customers and we had quite a wait, the staff were very helpful and friendly. The customers know they are being given excellent care, as a result no one was angry. It was a great experience, got everything we needed for our project in one trip. It was a very big sale day, worth the wait.
