My husband and i have saved up to finally buy the truck of our dreams. A nice lifted diesel Dodge ram 3500. We have never owned a diesel and everyone was telling us horror stories of how if someone needed to change any sensor it would be at least $600 to $1,000 in labor, and anything anyone touches on these trucks the labor is ridiculously high. Well, let me tell you, we had an issue with it a couple weeks after buying our truck and we took it to Dodge in Salem thinking πŸ’ they specialize in Rams so they’ll do a great job. They have sub par customer service, they tell you one thing and something else happens. I asked for one service and they did something else AND were going to charge me for what I had originally asked for. Not these guys, they make sure we understand each other. No gimmicks, no up selling, no pressure. They are reasonably priced as well. They do an awesome job. They make sure that what you go in for is 100% taken care of. They actually test drive your vehicle to make sure everything is in working order which is amazing to me. We did quite a few different things to our truck and we didn’t feel like we had to sell our soul just to pay their fees lol my husband and I have had horrible experiences at many other places and are always weary of mechanics, but feel like we can relax a bit with these guys. Zak is great to deal with! Never let him go, seriously! Very honest and up front about everything.

We limped into town with a crippled F250 (pulling an RV), needing help. A friend who has had a business running a number of diesel trucks, recommended Certified Power. They really were a God send! They worked with us honestly in a situation where some could have taken advantage, and patiently in dealing with previous mistakes of others. They consistently clarified those things that did AND didnt need to be addressed. And they took service above and beyond, going out of their way to work with us in our temporary (transient) status. We are so appreciative of the guys at Certified Power (including Brad, who we usually dealt with). They have been truly amazing.

Replaced my EGR cooler, Y-pipe, and installed a box of goodies I dropped off. Blue Spring kit, oil cooler gaskets, stuff like that…It was not until I did some work on the truck myself (new front crank seal, front engine cover gaskets, LPOP, new glow plugs and harnesses…) that I noticed what a good clean job they did, and all the extra little things they fixed up for me while they were in there. No short cuts any where. Everything they touched is better than it was when I brought it in.

Paid 16k replaced used motor and used turbos (which I expect to be fully inspected) 2 weeks later turbo went out and work was not guaranteed. These guys tax and don’t stand by work. Have found another diesel mechanic since.Update: β€œtaxing” is an expression for overcharging. If YOU highly advise against it then you should not DO it at all. Oh well 16k down the dump and injectors are going out could have told me that when you were under the hood don’t you think.

Certified Power Systems did an excellent job on making sure my truck ran just like it did before a 7-Eleven employee mistakenly put gas in. Zach did an excellent job communicating with me and explaining things as the repair proceeded if you want your truck repaired right take it to these guys. Just a tip when pulling into a fuel station in Oregon if youre not going to pump your own diesel which is legal make sure they are pumping diesel into your truck do not assume they are putting in the correct fuel

I recently had the crew at Certified hold my hand after a bad experience with a different shop. They were extremely responsive and wasted no time getting to the bottom of it. That meant a great deal to me considering the other shop had the rig for two weeks before getting back to me. I appreciate their patience in dealing with me during a stressful situation. If you are looking for a no nonsense, top tier, highly professional shop Certified has you covered.

These guys are awesome!Ive read a lot of bad reviews on CPS, which most of them are old reviews. I have been taking my truck in the past few months to get work done and these guys were nothing short of curteos, friendly and professional. Ive had a new turbo installed, exhaust and now shortly a new head gasket will be installed. Hopefully with a fire ring if they are able. In my experience with these guys, if they cant do the work they will tell you up front and /or refer you to someone else. After my experience with mechanics of all sorts the last 20 years, I feel these guys do a wonderful job. I dont know the last techs and/or owners, but I also wouldnt have gone to these guys if I read reviews first. Q&A with these guys and their knowledge is what got me started coming here beside the other customers Ive ran into who referred me to them and are also very happy with their service. I hope this helps anyone else looking for a badass mechanic to do work on their vehicle. Forget the reviews from 2-6 years ago. We are in the now2012 Ram 2500 6.7L diesel 700 h.p

We were traveling through Salem experiencing loss of power on our F250 diesel on a Saturday. CPS was not only open Saturday but got us right in and diagnosed the symptoms right away. Service manager Ken Wagner was very accommodating to our needs, but couldnt get the Ford part till Monday. Allowed us to park our RV trailer along the shop while we waited.Mechanic Dave got on replacing the part immediately on Monday morning, finishing on time. While the repair didnt fully solve the loss of power, CPS was quick to make the necessary computer update to get us back on the road Monday afternoon.

Took my diesel truck in because the turbo stopped working. They told me the turbo was shot and blowing oil all over. Told me it would cost over $3,000 to replace the turbo. Took the truck for a second opinion. That shop said there was nothing wrong with the turbo, the only code it was throwing was for a sensor that made the turbo function properly. The wires were frayed causing the sensor to short out. This fix only cost $893. Truck/turbo run great now. Ill never go back to CPS again.

So my beloved 2005 F350 6.0 got sick with the 6.0 head gasket bug. I contacted Zack at CPS to see what was wrong. They looked over my truck and found that it had Blown both Headgaskets. I asked if they would take my warranty, they contacted them and said they could do the work. Zack told me what it would need and how long it would take, they could get started right way on it. Zack and Matt keep me informed thouth out the hole repair. Matt answered all my questions about the repairs that he was doing and took great care with my truck. Zack, Matt and Brad did a great job on my truck. It runs like it did when I first got her. She has all her power back. They have contacted me after all the repairs have been done to ensure my truck is running properly and to my expectations. They have taken the time to check with me. That is something that no other shop has ever done. They have me as a customer for life. They have great poeple that work for them. The biggest thing is that they are HONEST, Fare Prices and stand behind their work and truly care about their customers.Great thanks to all the poeple at CPS. But mostly thanks to Zack, Matt and Brad.

Fair and honest!! My SUV was having intermittent starting issues and had to be towed to the shop four times in as many weeks. I finally had it towed to Certified Power Systems where they quickly went to work on diagnosing the problem. They narrowed it down to an electrical issue, and when the first fix didnt work they went back to the drawing board and worked diligently until they figured it out. The first fix was spendy so I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they werent going to charge me anything additional for the subsequent parts and labor required to finally resolve the issue. I guarantee that I came out ahead on this deal. Rick and his team were great to work with. Keep up the good work!!

Review β„–39

Was treated very poorly by these guys. I was told to drop my vehicle off to get exhaust work done and that they would keep the vehicle in overnight and it would only take a couple of days to complete the job. I dropped it off on a Thursday and was told it would most likely be done Friday afternoon. I called on Friday around noon just to check how things were going and was told they were still working on it and trying to get parts. They said if anything they might still have it until Saturday morning. Well, the shop closes at 5:30 and I get a call at 5:15 telling me that its not done and that I need to come pick it up. The rig is running open headers and isnt even registered yet...not very convenient for me. 15 minutes wasnt a whole lot of time to get down there but luckily I was close by. I was told when I walked in the shop that they didnt have all the parts and that I should just drop it off sometime next week. Huh? 6 hours ago you said it would probably be done Saturday morning. I went into the service area and talked to Bill the owner and he was immediately rude about the situation. He said, We have 24-40 hours worth of work here. You cant just drop it off and show up the next day and expect it to be done. We dont have any room to keep it in here. Really? I didnt show up expecting to pick it up. Im only here because you told me I had to come get it. By the way, you also said youd keep it inside overnight. I spent 21 months on a frame-off resto-mod and didnt necessarily want to leave my unregistered vehicle sitting in a parking lot right off a busy street. Bill backed my vehicle out of the garage, left it running, and walked away. He then started pulling other customers rigs in the shop to keep in overnight. By the way, its been a week and they still havent called me back. Luckily, I found a custom exhaust shop that did a great job on my vehicle for a great price and they finished it very quickly. I wouldnt recommend CPS to anyone now just because of this incident. Very poor customer service. Everything they told me they failed to carry through on.

2015 F350 dually platinum. Had them install a 65gal Titan tank backed with 150gph Fass with a fuel heater, fed by a G&R fuel sump. Picked the truck up, drove it to the shell station and filled it up. Fuel began pouring out of the top of the tank, and leaking out of the sump. Climbed back into the truck to take it back and fuel gauge still said empty.... Perfect. To their credit they jumped right on it. Picked up the truck the next morning and needed to head to work.... in Idaho. No fuel leaking from the top, but still leaking out of the sump and gauge now read full. 2 out of 3 and I needed to get to work. Fixed sump myself, one fitting didnt have any Teflon tape on it, easy enough. Week goes by, fuel gauge seems like its been on a 1/4 of a tank for a while. Head to the gas station and put 63gals!! Of fuel in it....means the sending unit is still clocked wrong...and now Im in Idaho. Had another local shop drop the tank again and reclock the sending unit, all good. Then ran the fuel down to about a 1/4 tank again and pulled up to a stop sign...Truck died due to fuel starvation. After a week of trouble shooting fuel pumps, finally called Titan to pick there brain and the told me to send a picture of sump location. They looked the picture and told me the sump was 20in to far back. Translation, 15gals left in the tank, hit the brakes, truck dies. Unless you want these fellas to do lawncare I would avoid at all costs.
