Louis is the only guy to go to in Salem for modern or classic automobile restoration as well as repairs. He can take a car apart and put it back together, as he did when he was 15 years old. Hes a saint among men, and his staff reflect his own work ethic.

I brought my 4Runner in for some pretty extensive rust work and it came out better than I ever could have wished for. Louis and his staff are as thorough as they come and stand behind their work. Received many text updates throughout the process of what work was being done at what point and if I was okay with it. Louis also spends the time to help you understand more about your vehicle and how to get the most out of it. You will not find a more honest body shop that this.

Louis is an honest guy that does great work. No BS. Been there several times very good experiences. Taking girl friends car there for touch up work soon. Wish there were more dependable guys for body AND mechanical work.

Nice people! I had them do work on an antique fuel tank and was amazed at how quickly and inexpensively they did it. Louis is as nice as they come - he loves the business and is outwardly passionate about it, something thats hard to find.

My Subaru Outback was suffering from rust spots but was otherwise running great. I had a choice of spending $8,000-$25,000 for a new ride or having Low look at it and make a recommendation. I ended up spending just over $4,000, which included having just about the entire back end replaced. Lou showed me the extra damage that I could not see before doing the work. I cannot say enough about the quality of the work and the honesty of this man. Hes like a Zen auto body man. Full of good advice and ego-less business practices. He has since worked on another car to get it ready to sell and I refer business to him every chance I get.

RIP OFF!!!! SCAMMER !!!!!! Do not go to the Louis Restoration on 22 Leavitt St, Salem, MA.I went their to get a small piece of metal welded to my trailing arm, the Owner Louis told me it not safe and that a new sub frame piece need to be welded in place, We agree on $250 and left my car. 1h later he called me and say we can not do the job because the gas tank is too close to where he needed to weld and that to take it off it will add labor. I told hom to leave the keys and lock the car and that i will come in to pick up the car and my money ( he only take cash no credit or debit ). 1h later he called me ans ohh we fix it.he welded a 2 inches of metal that took 5min to do and charge me $200.the car failed inspection and its not safe to drive.took a car to another place and they told me this guy need to go to jail for putting you and your family on risk.they do not know anything about cars will charge you double if not triple and you will get a bad service and poor quality. Stay away from these people.
