Hart Kia is the best! Kennie was awesome, he responded to my emails (I was looking for a specific vehicle) right away and was courteous and friendly when I got there. Was in and out in an hour with my new vehicle. Didnt get the typical trying to sell lots of extra stuff I dont need pitch. Financing was also smooth. Would definitely recommend if you want a no hassle, friendly car buying experience.

With the car market being crazy like it is right now, there are a lot of car dealers sneaking in markups on their prices. Some are advertising one price and then hitting you with the actual price when you come in the door. Hart Kia is not one of those. They are an honest dealership, with friendly folks. We drove over 2 hours to buy from them because of that. It’s nice to know there are some good guys out there still.

I left the service department feeling frustrated and upset. I am new to the area, coming from a state that does not require vehicle inspections. I brought my KIA in for a state inspection and found out that several bulbs were out. It was going to be rather pricey to have the service department replace them so I wanted to run things by my husband before I made any decisions. I felt like I was being rushed to make decisions about what I wanted to do while speaking to my husband over the phone. I was told to make a decision because the man who did the inspection had other jobs to do, yet it hadn’t even been the full time I was quoted. Upon arrival at home, I discovered that one of the lights I was told was out was in fact not out. I called again for clarification and was confused at to why I was told a light was out when it wasn’t. We went out of our way to pick a Kia dealership since my husband and I both own Kias and my husbands car was serviced a few weeks ago. They did a fantastic job with his car so I was disappointed that I didn’t get the customer service I felt like I should have received.

We were tired of breaking down in our old car, so we thought wed check it out. We went in there with numbers in mind. At first, the payment came in higher than what I was comfortable with. I was regretting it, but we needed a car so we did the paperwork. It was done. Signed. They could have pushed us out the door with the keys and a thank you. Instead, they suggested that they try to run my credit. I was convinced that it wouldnt help, but sure. Go ahead. It lowered the payment to within a few dollars of what we wanted. They didnt have to do that. The deal was done and closed. They saw how uncomfortable I was and went the extra mile to help. We bought a car we love that was priced fairly and got terms we liked. This new kia model is very popular this year due to pandemic and chip shortage and Hart Kia is the only dealership we could find that sells this model at MSRP without markup in surrounding areas. And they also gave us a fairly reasonable trade-in offer for our old vehicle. We put in a custom order (w/Johnny) in the middle of January and we received our new Telluride in the middle of March. The original due date for the order was suppose to be around April 15, so it arrived about a month earlier than expected. Johnny and the whole team (Jayson, Eric, etc.....) were terrific to deal with and they kept us informed throughout the entire process. We would recommend Hart Motor Company to anyone and we will definitely be buying from Hart again in the future!

I bought my new Kia in December of 2018. I don’t remember the salesman’s name but he was a delight. I give him 5 stars.The service department however does not get 5 stars from me. I always took my Kia there for oil changes and routine service etc. and was charged over $100 each time. I assumed this was because I needed synthetic oil.Then I moved to Charlottesville and took it to a different dealership for service (Price Kia) who charged me just $55 for the same services. So I’m wondering, Hart Kia, why did you overcharge me so much for my oil changes?I am truly displeased and will no longer be recommending Hart Kia for service or sales.

I’m sorry to say that I’m very disappointed with the service dept at Hart Kia. I have a 2018 Kia Soul that I delivered to them on Monday, Oct 10, 2020, for an oil change and tire rotation, with instructions to call me when completed. Betty, service advisor, called me to let me know my car was ready and at that time she informed me that my battery tested low and ask me if I wanted to have them replace it. She gave me the cost of the battery & labor which amounted to $220.00. Being a grandma with a grandchild who lives out of town, I didn’t want to take any chances. If it wasn’t for my husband who questioned what was happening, I would have replaced that battery & been out of over $200! He looked up the Kia Warranty & if my battery needed to be replaced before 36 month/36,000 miles, they would replace it for free. My vehicle has 27,138 & I’ve owned it for 29 months. After informing Betty of this, I was told she would check it out & call me back. When she called back, she informed me that Kia would not cover replacing my battery because it wasn’t low enough! So, of course, I didn’t replace it. My husband had my battery checked somewhere else & it was 86% charged. I feel like it was fine that she informed me that it was low, but, the fact that she asking me if I wanted to replace it & giving me the cost to do so, was misleading & wrong. I feel I should have been informed that it was a little low, but, nothing needed to be done at this time. I feel like Hart Kia was trying to take advantage of a 66 yr old woman who totally ignorant of the situation. Up until now, I have always been pleased & have sent other family members to this dealership, but, when you lose that trust, it’s really hard to do any future business.

Its a great dealership. Great cars. But the service department needs to adapt to COVID-19 and social distancing and conduct operations in a way that make clients feel safe. No masks on any staff. No gloves. Mechanics, in pairs walking into showroom to get coffee.. Kroger does a better job !

Due to medical issues had neglected service on my 2014 KIA Sorento this past year resulting in multiple problems. The worst was a severe wobble above 40 mph as well as a catching in the limited slip differential during low speed maneuvering. The mechanics at Hart quickly diagnosed both problems (separations within the tire and contaminated differential fluid) and fixed both plus a number of other more moderate repairs. The work was completed in only two days and my vehicle appears to be running perfectly thus far. Great job, Hart and Jennifer Hodges
