Creepy and invasive.For the privilege of renting a van for 4 hours, I had to provide the apparent franchise owner Luis Gutierrez phone numbers for 2 emergency contacts. He then immediately called to confirm their relationship to me. I noted that since my first emergency contact would be readily available for the entire 4 hour rental period, there was no point to having a second.In response, Mr. Gutierrez became hostile and it became clear that he wanted contact information for people he could harass while seeking payment in the event of a dispute. I refer you to other reviews detailing bogus charges.Mr. Gutierrez also insisted on copying my insurance information.I have rented cars dozens of times and have never had to provide any information beyond my drivers license and a credit card. Notably, when I made the reservation, this was all the information the corporate Uhaul site requested of me.Rent elsewhere.

DO NOT RENT from this location. These guys are crooks. We returned a pick up truck rental, the employee who received the vehicle did a walk around, no problem, issued the receipt, we left. After U Haul took possession of the vehicle they then called us about 15 min later, saying they were charging us an 800$ cleaning fee, afret much debate they agreed to, negotiate, with us and drop the $800 to $500, sounds like a hustle to me. Keep In mind we have rented many U Haul trucks in the past, from different locations, and anytime it was returned dirty they have charged us a 25$ cleaning fee. When we dropped this vehicle off, we knew it was dirty, thats why re confirmed the 25$ cleaning fee with the employee, did our walk around for any damage inside or out, everything was determined satisfactory, employee cleared the vehicle and we left. About 15min later a different employee called, rather aggressively, stating that the truck was ruined, destroyed, and no longer rentable. I do agree that the inside of the truck was pretty dusty, and thats why we re confirmed the cleaning fee with the drop off employee before we left. At the time of returning the vehicle if we would have been notified of the exorbitant cleaning fee, we could have easily left , wiped it down real quick and been back, as we still had time left on our rental reservation. We will definitely be disputing this charge in court. My advice is steer clear of this location. We have rented and returned many trucks from other U Haul locations and have never had this problem. If your in the area and looking to rent a truck, the Florin or Broadway locations are professional, up front and honest with their fees. Feel like these guys are trying to get you for a dollar, and we all know those dollars are getting harder and harder to earn these days, lesson learned!

Last time I rented a trailer there 3 of 4 tires had to be replaced. Left me on the road stranded a long time. This time I go in, and they were already arguing with some other customers. Then they started in on me. The guy still arguing with the other customers, started to make accusations I was a liar. Claiming they had all these rules that they have always despite completely new experience. I go there often and the seem to always have an excuse from propane to boxes. I’ll start driving else where even though they are part of the neighborhood.

So, we attempted to get 4 propane tanks for our Bar B Ques. We pulled in and waited in line to be able to drive forward near the propane fill. We were then directed to park back on the other side of the lot by a male employee with dark curly hair who seemed to be very rude and short with us. We asked if we could get help with the tanks because we both have disabilities, he said no and we left. This was the worst experience I have ever had there. Not at all ADA accommodating and definitely not friendly staff! If I could give less than one star, I would!

The customer service guy is very rude. Told us they can do an installation and had the hitch. When we got there the guy said we had to wait 2 weeks and couldn’t do the installation. He was also rushing us and said he had other customers. Absolutely, poor customer service.

I have been using this place for years. Its a tiny lot for all the trucks and business that they do. I dealt with two different guys and both were friendly!Personally, Im not a big fan of using the app for check in and out. The guys know how to navigate all the legal stuff of thier job, so I opt to deal with them in person.All said and done, good job guys! Thanks.Quick tip...Heading south on 65th street, use the second entrence to get in.

This place has beyond horrible customer service!!!!! Over a month ago I rented a U-Haul from here. At pick up I was told there was a lock on the back of the truck but the extra key On key ring was for the lock. I assumed the employees did their job and I could start my trip. I drove 80 miles down the road to my storage unit where I found out that the lock on the back of the truck was the wrong lock. So now I had a useless truck. I was instructed by this location that I need to drive all the way back. 80 miles!!! To get the lock removed. So now I’ve driven 160 miles at 89 cents a mile because of their mistake. Not to mention over 50 dollars in gas. The man at the store informed me he could not do anything and a manager would be in contact with me. So now 4 hours behind schedule on my only day to move I drove back 80 miles to my storage unit and proceeded to move. The manager had not contacted me and they close in an hour. I called the service number and they left a message for the manager. Upon return I was charged for the 160 miles that I drove all due to their mistake, and I was still out the 50+ in gas. So in total close to 200 dollars charged that I should not have been responsible for along with four hours of my only day to move wasted. I called the store every day the next week trying to talk with a manager to no success. Then finally towards the end of the week an employee informed me that they would credit me for 150 dollars. That’s not even the amount that I’m out due to their mistake. And as a business they should compensate for wasting four hours of my time to move. I could never talk to a manager directly so I emailed customer service. After multiple exchanges and promises that the manager would get back to me nothing has happened. I would give them the benefit of the doubt for a week and then email again. It has now been 5 weeks with multiple interactions and phone calls to no success. I have been ignored by the manager in hopes that I will disappear apparently. Do not give these thieves your hard earned money. There is no such thing as customer service at this location and I’m not sure whose running this but You can bet they will not do right by the customer and ignore any issues you may.

They told me they could refill my propane tank. I arrived 5 minutes later when I was informed the machine was broken and they could not fill the tank. Why didn’t you just tell me that on the phone before I got to my car and drove over to your location?

I ordered a hitch for my car on 5/18. Was told 4-6 business days it was 9, which makes sense due to supply chain disorders recently. I missed my appointment at the 65th street location on 6/3 by 20 minutes and was told over the phone that the technician had been sent home. I told them to cancel the appointment and I would just pay for the hitch.I got a different local uhaul today, who were great btw, and it turns out the 65th location ordered the wrong hitch. It has taken since 5/18 and I am not one step further to getting a hitch installed. Thank god this is for a bike rack and personal use. If this was to move my family or meet a specific move out date, or anything business related this would have been a financial disaster.Would give zero stars.

I’m a professional organizer and have a really big moving job over the next few days for a client. I went into this U-Haul and purchased almost $300 in moving supplies. Carl who was working at the time jumped right in and helped me through the entire process all the way down to the smallest thing I needed. I’ve moved a lot of clients and dealt with a lot of U-Hauls and he by far was the definition of excellent customer service.

I had a hitch installed there awhile ago and went back today to finish the wiring, etc. They went ABOVE and BEYOND to make sure I understood how to hook everything up, everything worked and I was comfortable with the installation. Great service! I will go back for all my other towing needs and highly recommend their service!

I rented a truck today from this location. I called previous and had asked if their pick up truck had A hitch and they said yes. I picked up the truck and went on my way to my destination. When I reach my destination I went to the back of the truck to find no hitch. I thought I had done something wrong or purchase the wrong truck. When I went back to U-Haul I let them know and ask them about the hitch if I should have gotten that separately?! Come to find out the hitch had been previously stolen. The gentleman a U-Haul did not charge me for the rental or mileage which I thought was great customer service. I was not expecting that and I did not ask I just chalk it up as bad luck. Will definitely go back to these guys!

Really bad customer service by the so called general manager Carl Piepenburg, very rude person , he was supposed to install a tail light in my car and when I got there , my husband asked him to make sure to install the right connections that will not mess up our car warranty and this man turned around and he said ....you’ been rude I’m not even want to work on your car and he trhew my car keys at me on the desk and the paperwork and left. After I followed him and said this is not how he supposed to treat a customer and he started singing ...”get away from me” “ get away from me” . Wow!! He really needs to go back to a training !!

They have great costumer service they where fast and efficient I work with company that delivers propane to safeway and I always go to uhaul to get them refilled and I come with 15 tanks at once only wait for 30 mins for all of them to be filled
