My family and I would always come here for some groceries and ready made food. Here what I liked: Grill City - Food is good & the halo halo is Great, the fish and meat department- was stocked and it looked fresh. I didnt like however is that the workers were talking to each other and were a bit disorganized. Im saying this because the lines were backed up and I noticed a lot of the employees were taking breaks and not helping out. My brother was in line to pay for almost 30 minutes.

This is a great place for Asian groceries and food, and the prices are on par. They also have a great selection of seafood. The best part is their already-cooked-food cafeteria. They have an excellent selection of authentic Filipino food amount other things. The only downside to the whole place: they mop constantly, so you may have to avoid some wet floors.

Store sells the typical Asian stuff, but at a much higher price, and smaller selection. The store is small and tidy, and the staff seems nice. For cheaper prices and bigger selection, go to SF Supermarket down the street, but the produce and meat quality will be inferior.

Sold molding food there. Would not recommend after that experience. The picture below was one of 5 remaining sponge cakes all rotting. I ate the first one and thought the sour taste was a part of it and then looked at the rest. Well behold that the other 5 were rotting. Mind you we had bought these the day before today so they should be fresh.

This was my first time going there and its not my last. Finding a Filipino store in the valley is far and few. Seafood City did not disappoint. They have everything a Filipino would be looking and needing in one store...From produce, traditional cooked foods to baked pastries - all Filipino. Their seafood department is filled with many choices of seafood - watch your step. There could be water from melted ice or goop from fish. The cooked food was good, although the chicken adobo - the meat was tough. The pork and chicken adobo is seasoned but leaves room for you to add salt or soy sauce. My favorite is the foot long turon ... 12 inches of banana, jack fruit rolled up in wrapper that is deep fried.Connected to Seafood City is Red Ribbon with their pastries and ChowKing serving casual Chinese dishes. If youre Filipino, youll feel right at home and who knows, you may bump into a relative!

Excellent Asian grocery store catering to the culture of Philippines, friendly and humble service, male restrooms needs an overhaul, it is in dismal disrepair, the handicap stall is wired shut as I am a handicapped patron. I experienced another patron waiting to use the toilet, the urinal is surrounded in urine on underneath the urinal.

If your looking for Filipino groceries this is the place to go. There is an extensive seafood department and the meat department has all of the Filipino meat cuts you need. They also have a Filipino street food area and hot food section called Grill City. There are many varieties of dishes of food for you to chose. From Crispy Pata to grilled squid and Pinakbet to Chicharon Bulaklak. Definitely stop in for a bite to eat. There are also other places like Chow King, Red Ribbon and Valerios. The Jolly Bee is located outside of the store but, still in the same shopping center.

I think they have one of the best butcher shops in S. Sac. I wanted spare ribs that were cut lengthwise. Reg ribs were 1.99 a pound whereas cut lengthwise were 3.99 a pound. That kills the whole idea of driving from Natomas to go there. Also could not find Worcestershire sauce. Ive had better results there in the past.

Its been years since the last time I had been to Seafood City. It smells better, more organized, cleaner. Its a trek to get here from where I live. It was a relief to find basic native ingredients I needed: panda flavoring, lotus flower, sugarcane vinegar, green papaya, nori snack, etc. They have a fish frying service as well as cooked food (turo-turo). Sample selection of cooked food they had when I was there: ginataang mais ( sticky rice and corn cooked in coconut milk was delish), turon (sugar covered banana wrapped in lumpia wrapper), pork bbq on a stick (pricey at about $12 for 4 sticks), fried tilapia, pansit (sauteed noodles) and lots more. Lots of surface and handicap parking available; could have been brighter (I left the store early evening). They had a handicap accessible entrance. Restrooms located in the store, passable. Cleaning supplies were located next to the shopping carts. Youll have to clean the cart yourself. Masks required for entry. Friendly and helpful staff.
