So I ordered the door seen darker in the first picture but what I recieved at my door was a white door! I refused the delivery and called the store only to be berated. Two people took my order and I was very clear on the color/stain I expected. Furthermore I thought you can’t mess this up when I the customer are pointing at an exact copy of what I want in the floor model that is ten feet from us. After twice the wait the door arrives late to me…wrong color and they didn’t bother doing the jams!! See my photo. I don’t know what to do because I don’t want my property unsecured and wait another two months for the correct door. And the screws are exposed in the jam needing to be sawed off for mounting too. Their lack of customer care and the incompetence is staggering. What should I do?

Not sure why there are so many negative reviews. Ive purchased doors from these folks for two projects now and have had no issues whatsoever. Solid core shaker doors at a price substantially below the competition. The fellow I dealt with was very good, walked through what I wanted and delivered a high quality product.The contractor I worked with was so impressed with the price and the quality that he has used California door for several of his other projects in the Bay area.I have one last project to complete - custom closet doors for the master. I want to match the shaker look - and I will be going there first to see if they can deliver. I would definitely recommend these folks - the price and quality are top notch.

I almost didnt give these guys a chance due to some of the negative comments Ive read, but I was nearby so I gave them a shot, and was pleasantly surprised. Ive now had two transactions with the owner, his office manager and his warehouse help, and Im here to say that as a contractor, I will continue my door business with them. Every time I place and order I feel I have gotten great assistance, pricing and product. NO reason for me to shop anywhere else, thank you California door!

Called to try to get some basic information. Was pretty much no help at all. I asked for general knowledge and he went into specifics as to why he could not guide me. Was looking for a ballpark price for a closet door replacement. Told him the information I had, he proceeded to tell me that the information i had was mostly wrong. I know there are standard sized closet doors for height and width. Mine are those standards. Was more interested in telling me where the information I was providing him was wrong than helping guide me towards a purchase. I am ready to purchase as soon as I have the correct solution. Its a shame that someone who provides closet door solutions for a living couldnt work with the customer to come up with the solution that is needed. I very clearly see why the other reviews speak so poorly of this mans demeanor.

The staff at CD&F were very professional and actually matched my door style from a picture on my phone. The prices seemed reasonable and I can tell the technician is on top of his game. . . Skip the big box stores when it comes to your door needs, go to CD&F, youll be happy with the results. . .

I cant believe the terrible owner - Harold. What an a-hole! I ran a door shop for several years long ago so I know my questions to him were straightforward and made sense. First, he didnt call me back - twice. Then when I asked him a simple question about a slab door size he told me I was stupid for asking the question. He literally told me he cant fix stupid! He lost a whole house of doors on my end. Unbelievable how rude the guy was.Wow!

Terrible! One of the people they do business with (black van with illegally tinted windows) tailgates, cuts drivers did, drives extremely recklessly and has the nerve to honk at other drivers he is harassing! I called California Door and Frame about it and they wouldn’t do a damn thing. The woman on the phone told me to “just get out of his way”.

Called California Door to order a fiberglass dutch door. I was told they were closing in two minutes and to call back tomorrow. Rather than take an order while open I was told to call back. That about summarizes their level of service.

This guy is a grade A douche-bag. I went to his store and felt like I was some sort of intruder when I came in. There was no clear place to sit and when I tried to explain what I wanted, the owner instantly told me all the reasons why they may not be able to do that. He then flipped inexplicably through some catalog for 10 minutes until I finally just got up and left. A total surreal experience- I have no idea how this place stays in business.

Worst Rudest Owner in the history of business. No etiquette or curtesy what so ever. Would give negative stars. I tried to give him business and he couldnt be bothered and then left messages cursing at me on my family answering machine. I got kids Guy. All this for asking questions when he couldnt be bothered. What kind of owner does that. Good luck if you use this place.

I am very unhappy with California frame and door. It seems their quality control has gone downhill. I work for A company that orders doors from them on a regular basis and lately it seems like they cant get anything right. They have you fill out a form to get all the measurements and then it seems like they ignore that form on more than one occasion they have given us the wrong size door. I spent plenty of time painting a door and when I went to put it up it was 2 inches too wide. So we called them and let them know and that didnt seem to bother them at all. Every time they give us an excuse that the new guy is working on the doors. It doesnt seem to bother them at all that they are making mistakes all the time. Ill be looking for a new company for our doors
