Fantastic work. Rebuilt the carburetor for my 1987 Suzuki Samurai and it runs better than ever. Highly recommend this place for any and all carburetor work. Keep in mind though that they only accept cash.

Peter Wong is a superb individual, and adept with carburetors, having cumulative like... 35yrs experience with em. He wanted to make sure that he had adequate time for processing, so he recommended not dropping it off on Friday just in case it took longer than expected, as is often the case. So technically I was scheduled for Thursday processing, but I dropped it off mid-Wed, and had it back by Friday afternoon, so totally expected time for a one man repair shop. Does not make appointments, and probably for good reason - this is as much art as science. I recommend calling ahead, a LOT, to make sure that times and dates are a-okay with both parties, and he was willing to work with me the whole time. His test drive went fine, the cold start and fast idle issues were totally gone, and she drove like butter. HOWEVER - a followup issue within the following several hours, a hesitation and rpm drop upon accelerating that has lead to frequent stalling from stop. I utilized his text number to warn him Id be coming by again on Monday, so Ill report back how the followup goes! But if its of any value, I know we will find a solution - Peter Wong was incredibly nice and very confident in his abilities.EDIT: Got me in the shop quick and easy after the weekend, no issues with communication!! Suspected accelerator pump, he adjusted it but was worried any additional adjustment would potentially fail smog. Problem mostly gone, but I think/read that accelerator pumps can be sized for different flows, and I doubt Mr Wong will spring for hours more labor on a trial-error part. I may have to discuss additional labor charges to do some testing if it fails smog. Regardless, superb work by Mr Wong.

Brought an old marine carburetor. They restored it amazingly within a few short days. Installed the carburetor and my boat works perfectly. Very happy with the service.

Took my car here on a recommendation from Ozi of Ozmotive on Folsom Blvd, also a great shop for Japanese cars. Peter rebuilt my carburetor on my 84 Honda Accord last year and when I had another problem with my engine I took it to him again. All he did was turn it on and immediately knew what the problem was, cylinder misfire. So he worked on it again for me and did a great job! I will definitely be coming back to him should any other problems arise!! I recommend this shop 100%

My vintage Toyota was dying on and off. They charged $95 to find the problem and $100 for a minor fix. They threw in an unnecessary carb tune up for $75 that robbed the little 4 banger of 30% of its power. They essentially turned the car into a dog. Two months later the car started to dye again. After 12 years of ownership I had to trash the classic Toyota 4wd SW because I took it to these guys. Im not sure if they just did not care or did not know what they were doing. Maybe a bit of both.

Great Service at Great Price

They rebuilt my brand new carb. Only the float was sticking they did not hook back up my TV cable so I burned up my transmission not knowing it was disconnected. They disconnected my break booster line and left it like that. I called to get them to be accountable and all I got were excuses. I heard they use to be the best but as of lately their work is crap. Dont bring your car here unless you want more problems. Oh and my transmission was $2000.00. Dont bring your old school here! You will be passed off like me!

Awesome shop if live around the area. They not only carry parts for carbuerators they rebuild them correctly. Would highly advise going to this place before even considering Tognottis Auto world. I gurantee money well spent and saved. Had my carb for my square square body 83 c10 done here and it ran me $350 and thats only cuz instead of just giving them the carb to fix i dropped off my entire truck to them. Awesome and extremely knowledgable staff.
