My wifes 2009 Camry is in excellent condition, except that it had become difficult for her to get the transmission out of Park. Diagnosis by the mechanics at Natomas Automotive indicated the problem was in a brake sensor. The brake pedal needs to be pushed before moving from Park to Drive and the brake sensor was preventing the movement. The car was ready the next day with the transmission drive selector working well. The overall cost, including servicing the engine, was very fair. Singe was very welcoming and explained the repair well to my wife and me. We happily recommend Natomas Automotive!

I recently had my van break down suddenly and had it towed to the closest auto repair shop who informed me that I needed a new engine. Learning this information meant I had to fork out around $7500, I decided to receive a second opinion with Singh at Natomas Automotive who I’ve been to several times previously. Long story short, he was able to do a second diagnosis and saved me thousands of dollar with an oil change. Just left Natomas automotive for the first time. It’s always a bit nerve wracking to try a new shop. But the reviews were good, and Singh was professional and friendly. I rounded off a o2 sensor and needed assistance removing it. Since the sensor has been rounded off I was quoted a possible 2 hours labor. Later that day when I got the call that my truck was done-I was only charged for 1 hour. Thanks Singh-my repair was done quickly and at a good price.

As other posters have mentioned, the shop was clean. Gentleman that helped me seemed to be the owner. Was honest about his schedule, asked me to come back next day. Came back on my appointment the following day and was in and out. Great service.

Thank you Natomas Automotive for the great service! My car broke down on the way back from Tahoe. I called AAA and they said their was a repair shop nearby that was part of the AAA network. That was good enough for me, and I was there a few minutes after the tow truck driver arrived.Singh and John were fantastic. They replaced the broken belt, and had me back on the road the same afternoon. The cost was reasonable, and I even got a AAA discount.

Leaving a negative review for being rude on the phone. I asked about a smog check service price match and the asian guy rudely stated oh hell go, youre not gonna find a price like that in Natomas. I didnt ask you for your opinion tech guy, i just want a yes/no answer. To the owner of this shop, maybe hire courteous staff unless you enjoy getting negative reviews? If you disrespect your customers your business will eventually die because noone will go to you.

Long story short: Higher prices than competition and customer service is very poor. If I voluntarily pay more, I expect better service, not worse service than a Pep Boys.After experience problems with quality of work at initial service (which included a promised call-back that never happened), Singh did not attempt to resolve or even look at the problem despite safety concern (device installed by Natomas Automotive fell out from under dashboard and got stuck behind brake and gas pedal on multiple occasions) until I voiced my concern more strongly. I was asked to return the next day with a vehicle that was unsafe to operate and which is also my only vehicle. Singh also said that he did not have time to have my problem looked at that day until I again voiced my concern more strongly. He also did not open up a repair order for my car until I specifically requested it, despite a technician working on my car while I waited and despite this being a violation of state law and California BAR policy.After leaving my vehicle with the shop again the next day, Singh called me to pick the car up after not finding any problems, despite multiple problems being duplicated in front of Singh and one of the technicians the previous day. Singh referred me to the equipment provider who then ordered replacement equipment for my car without me even asking for it.At this point, Natomas Automotive (specifically Singh) has not displayed any sense of interest in building new customer relationships or resolving issues with current customers. I knowingly paid more to have my original work performed at Natomas Automotive because the shop is in my neighborhood, but now I would not even want to bring my car in for a simple oil change, nevermind anything more complicated.I am confused by Singhs attitude and reticence, as customer experience is generally regarded the most important factor in todays automotive repair and maintenance industry. Without positive customer experiences there can be no customer retention. As a goodwill customer who knowingly paid more to support a local business, Im very frustrated and disappointed.

I had my first experience today with a smog check today. The shop was neat and clean. I came 20 earlier than my appointment time, but was out in less than 30 minutes. I see their sign everytime I leave the house since they are less than a mile away. There is another sign for another automotive shop close by in the same business area, but I saw that the yelp reviews were higher with Natomas Automotive. Because of my positive experience, I will be taking my other vehicle in for an oil & filter change tomorrow. Its nice to have a shop close by.I am loyal to my regular mechanic in the Greenhaven/Pocket are that Ive had for over 20 years, but its a grind to drop the car off there (because of the distance from my new home) and they are so busy (because they are so good and honest). However, for minor things I am perfectly willing to bring my car here if the service remains as good as it seems. I expect it will given the other positive yelp reviews.

Singh is awesome. Tells you honestly what is going on with your car and his recommendations. I had an electrical failure with my car brough to him, car would not start. He could have sold me new parts and easily have been a couple hundred bucks that I would have paid. He said it was just the fuse and replaced and fixed it for free. Even got my cigarette port to work after years of not working. On another car it had a small oil leak, brough it in to get looked at, and he tightened the oil filter and drain plug, and sent me on my way, no charge again. Thanks Singh!!

The woman at the front desk was not helpful and was accusatory with information which was incorrect. The mechanic Carl attempted to reprimand me for supposedly claiming I was back in there because of sub-par work. which was not the case. They are always short staffed and unable to provide the service they advertise. My recommendation, move on to another Auto Service company.

I recently brought in a car to Natomas Automotive and had some work done on it. The shop was clean, the staff was courteous, and the rates were reasonable. They replaced a housing in the cooling system because it had cracked and was leaking, causing the engine to overheat. Before I dropped the car off at Natomas Automotive I was able to drive it the 6 miles from my house to the shop without significant overheating . When I picked up the vehicle and drove it home, it almost blew up as the water pump had stopped working. Maybe the water pump breaking was a coincidence I dont know. I should have been advised that the cooling system in the car was damaged worse after their repair, and that it should be considered inoperable. I would have used my triple AAA card and had it towed home at that point. See, the vehicle has an old head gasket issue, now because of the extreme overheating and pressure build up in the cooling system, the benign head gasket issue is much much worse. I took my car to Satnam Singh for a very simple repair job and he could not handle it. That is my opinion, my observation and my experience. So just a warning, things might not be what they seem at Natomas Automotive, and maybe my experience was an aberration, like always caveat emptor: BUYER BEWARE!

I recently flew from Sacramento. On the way out, my Honda didnt accelerate as expected and started shaking. Coming back, I decided to take it to nearest shop but they were all booked and couldnt help me. When I got to Natomas Automotive, I explained my situation that I needed to get back to Livermore. They were also booked but unlike others, Mr Satnam asked his mechanic to check the codes for Honda and diagnosed it to be a coil failure as the cause. He assured me that it would be ok to drive back and I could change the coil myself. I reached home safely and it was really easy to change all the ignition coils myself. Thank you Mr Satnam for correct diagnosis and right advice.
