I am new to the area and have been to Blick Art Materials in Sacramento 3 times. Every time I have been there, the staff has been outstanding! They have been helpful, will show you were things are, and get things down off of a higher shelf, etc, all with a friendly attitude. Today I was there with a list of things and a very happy, helpful young lady who goes by the name of Q was just the best. The young man also working the register was just as wonderful. Thank you for hiring these great young adults. Love your store.

Their Shelves are full which is great because some other art stores are limited in what they have due to supply issues.

This is my new one-stop shop for art supplies. If they dont have it in the store, they have it on their site. They also have good deals when buying supplies in bulk, and they give discounts to students and teachers ⭐

Great spot to get specialized art supplies!

Ive been by here a few times and every time the people who work here have been absolutely lovely. Give them all raises, theyre great.I love the selection of watercolors and watercolors pencils. The only drawback is that I havent been able to sign up with them to get a student discount because their system is down or theyre out of the forms.

Eh... I still had to wear a mask... Still?However, the guy who approached me was very polite and nice about it. So kudos to him for great customer service.I was looking for one thing in particular and didnt find it. No staff asked me if I needed any help. One staff member walked in front of me as I was looking at a shelf and didnt say excuse me.Im giving this store 4 out of 5. It was clean and looked to be in stock and in order. However the overall customer service could use some help. The lady who checked me out was also top notch.

Wow! One of the only places in Sacramento for art supplies for serious artists. Ive been looking for a mechanical pen for doing line art. Kohinoor makes a great pen. Well this is the only store in the area that has them. A little pricey 35$ for the pen. But its exactly what I wanted. Service was awesome. I will go back just to chat with the staff. Its not a huge store. But they seemed to have something for everyone. And the high end supplies to boot.

Busy little shop with lots of available staff members. Staff seemed focused on moving and stocking shelves and not focusing on the customer. I walked every aisle, the only staff member was the cashier that talked to me.Blick is great product and there is a lot to choose from. Just know what you are looking for when you go in.

During quarantine I though it would be nice if I learned how to water color. I visited some craft stores in the area only to come out empty handed and discouraged. A quick google search led me to Blick Art Materials. The staff at Blick are so kind and helpful. There was no intimidation, I didn’t feel belittled or embarrassed by my lack of water color knowledge. One of the employees named Alisa showed me to the watercolor aisle and told me all I needed to know about paper, brushes, watercolor, and techniques. Overall it was an amazing experience and I will be coming back. 10/10

It is art heaven. I went looking for some open stock colored pencils and spent over an hour looking around. They have better prices than Michael’s and Jo Ann’s. Can’t wait to go back.

If you are a serious artist especially if you are a tattooer , if your are into watercolor dpi shade They have the best selection of liquid acrylics, brushes ,and arches paper blocks the lists goes on seriously it’s worth a drive if your serious about what you are doing !! Prices are extremely high as to be expected for a specialty shop. However, in that area could be more helpful place for neighbors if their prices were more attainable for typical shoppers to that area. Other than this complaint, Blick is a very neat, clean and tidy storefront who offers an awesomely pet friendly environment to pop in out of the cold for a few minutes! I enjoyed my visit there.

Most fantastical place for artists, beginners or skilled. They know what you need to get started in peaceful and enjoyable time of painting and learning. Just great to just go in and look at everything and ask questions. I get excited every time I go in because they even can help kids get started

Ive been buying from Blick for years. I have always received excellent customer service and quality supplies. Recently one of my packages was damaged and the supplies were not useable. I took photos and contacted Blick. They were quick to respond and assist. The problem was easily solved and the customer service agent was knowledgeable and respectful. I cant recommend this company higher.

Very clean, helpful employees. Greetings as soon as you walk in. Had order ready to go. I liked that they checked to make sure I was who I was too pick up my order and didnt just take a name and give my stuff away.

Its on the small side, isles and entire building. However its more often than not super stocked up on almost everything and very organized. I love this store, and the amazing deals and selection of acrylic paint!!

Awesome to have a Blick store local! Can get stuff right away, instead of waiting for online orders to ship/arrive. Store was clean, a little hard to find things first trip in, but its a small place so didnt take long to locate the items I was looking for. Prices seem to be similar to their online selection. Clerk up front was nice, but not very knowledgeable. Would recommend for artists looking for a professional selection of supplies.

Friendly Staff, Big selection

This is a smaller Blick store than most Ive seen; but, they always seem to have what I need. I am a watercolor artist and I also like to draw. You name it - theyve got it. The staff are also very kind and helpful. During this time of COVID everyone was wearing a mask and there were lots of signs warning us to keep a safe distance from others. Any items you tested had to be brought up to the counter and then they were disinfected. Love this little place. Cant wait to go back again.

They have everything you could want and more for art supplies, they have discounts on art supplies and have a discount membership for free and they staff is mostly very friendly and knowledgeable about their products. I love love this store and I would recommend it to anyone who is the market for art supplies!

The customer service associates did everything humanly possible to help me. Blick had no proportional dividers, and staff didnt know what they even were. My frustration took away 2 stars, but the people did their best. I will return again.

Well we went by there the other day and somebody hit a light pole so the lights were down so we cannot purchase anything unfortunately, but this place has everything for sculpting and painting and dying..... Ive never seen such a Fan-Tastic selection of these types of products!

Since either of us dont know much about art we were so happy when all our questions were answered. We got everything we needed and more, all within our budget. Shopping at Blick Art Materials is a pleasant experience-the staff is well-informed about arcane aspects of oil-based paints and painting and they can usually take a bit of time to describe how an additive or admixture will work for a given purpose. Alot of art stores have large quantities of open stock. This specific store does have open stock but none for Faber Castell Goldfabers. They only got the sets. I left and went to Michaels to get the missing stock i needed for my coloring

If youre serious or just playing. Blick is the stop for everything you need. If they dont have it, you dont need it!! I love shopping at blick. You need to have an area in your store for me to pitch a tent. So I can camp out!!

Terrible customer service over phone. I understand the company was most likely slammed with calls at the time; however, the way the went about placing me on hold multiple times for over 8 mins was absurd. Personally they lost my business because of there customer service. If you’re looking for speedy and quick look somewhere else.
