Theyve done an amazing job with their store and theyre really kind people, too.

A great little shop expressing an unabashed and unpretentious love of recorded music. They have a small selection, but across a really wide spectrum....and a few well selected bits of mid century furniture and collectibles.

Really cool, small record store in the heart of Sacramento Californias State Capitol, downtown Sacramento. In the Western part of the grid downtown, youll find this cozy, friendly vinyl record store. Selling used vintage records, as well as newly unopened popular re releases. Yes it is small, but if youre looking for a nice, friendly place to get your vinyls from then this is your place. You can ask for something if you cant find it in the store, they will even point you to a competitor in the area, or order something for you. Either way, it seems and feels like they are just looking out for the customers and that is always something a customer appreciates.It is a small shop, in an area of small, locally owned stores downtown. In a 15 minute walk of the area, this is just one of hundreds of locally owned and operated small businesses that especially now could REALLY use your hard earned, well spent money. Plus you and your family or friends will gave an absolute blast walking around downtown/midtown. Like I said, tons of just gems of places you may never know about unless you free yourself from the big box stores, dedicate some time to your family and city, get outside and enjoy the awesome vibe of downtown Sac. It really is a blast, and an uncovered diamond of a city. Just take the time to enjoy it!

Love it here got me a few Joni Mitchell records Vanilla Fudge a old movie soundtrack I did not expect to find, and a Little Feat LP the guy behind the counter was very knowledgeable and very nice

Great new location. Tim is very knowledgeable on records. Found some rare tunes in beautiful condition there. Laurie has cool selection of Mid-Century antiques in the back room. Always worth a visit.

Ordered an album over the phone via Instagram. They gave me descriptive photos of the record and free shipping. Item arrived quick from CA to MI and was well packaged and as described. Organized, clean, friendly place. Played records (Led Zeppelin 1, Fairport Convention-Full House) and he was genuinely glad when people came in. Ill be back, but after spinning my new finds, some Ive never come across.

Went there for RSD Sept. 26th. Run really poorly. Armadillo in Davis line was 2x as long and everyone was out of there by 9:30. They opened their store after 10, and there was still a pretty huge line by 10:35. Completely ruins your opportunity to hit any other stores in a timely manner. Would not recommend for RSD. The rest of the time the selection is decent.

Very nice store! Clean, organized and user-friendly. Not cluttered or cramped. They have a lot of rare stuff; as a matter of fact they have even more now because I just traded in a ton of vinyl (and got a very fair price). Easy, free parking as well. This is how a record store should be done - one of the finest Ive seen...and Ive been buying records since 1977.

The point of a review is to give you helpful feedback that you can grow and learn from. Im sorry you have not found that helpful. Maybe others will.You may have been physically open at 10, but people were not let inside right at 10. Everyone in line near me was talking about it. Maybe your watches and clocks were running slower than everyone elses in line? Not sure.I would have happily discussed it with you on RSD had I stayed-after 40 minutes of waiting, there was still about 20 people in front of me, and only 15 people had been inside. I had other record stores to get to that day.

Dawn,L from Kicksville Vinyl & Vintage is a guy that wants to take advantage of the hard work of other people by trying to pay nothing for a good and rare piece of furniture and resell it in his store for a higher price. He is the typical guy that wants to buy super cheap quality items for a penny like In the old times, thinking that he’s smarter than everybody else. It takes time, hard work, experience and patience to find good items and this guy wants to walk in a retail store and pay nothing for anything. His items are ridiculously overpriced at his store but I bet he paid a penny for them robbing hardworking people. Never make a deal with this guy.

Went into this place because it was recommended to me. I came accross about 200 or more vinyl albums after waiting about 15 minutes and listening to the guy talk to some customer he took one quick look and said no hes not interested and pointed towards the door he could have been a lot more considerate than he was and I would not bother to do business with him because of that reason alone he was kind of a jerk to be honest. We went to another place and they were willing to help and point us in the right direction unlike this place.

Marty and RJ both rock, this place has amazing records and is the perfect store. Definitely check it out.

Loved this store! Located in a great part of town and the quality and quantity of the vinyl was excellent. Both owners where on site when I visited and were extremely helpful and informed. I’ve been to a lot of record stores over the years, Kicksville Vinyl is definitely a good one!

Huge selection of all genres. High end copies of all your favorites. Bargain bins etc. Customer service was great. Brought home a few gems. Will visit again when ready to purchase nicer copies of older albums.

The selection of records was excellent and Mike the clerk working there was so friendly and enthusiastic about learning about my music selection, I live 4 hours away so its quite the trip here but Ill definitely make this a must visit on my trips down.
