So many options, including dairy free options, and the staff is extremely friendly and nice. I will definitely be stopping here for a drink any time I am downtown! The tapioca pearls are perfect here!

Great place! Love the ambience inside its so cute. The Taro Milk tea is some of the most refreshing I have ever had, drinking it while exploring Royal oak was so much fun. The boba is on the softer side but still very yummy! The service was amazing the cashier said hello and goodbye to everyone! Sadly there is no free parking super close by or at least none I could find, but thats every store in the area. There are so many flavors I could probably come 50 times and get something different everytime. I very much recommend as an after dinner dessert or even a snack on its own!

Look at this place! The atmosphere is exquisite: the wood, the unique furniture, the variety of spaces! It is quieter than many other coffee shops with a particular flair for tea. Notice the serving tray below. I really enjoyed the time I spent here. As an added bonus, they have games you can play. Not all of which are mainstream. Simply fun.

Awesome variety! Was so happy to find a tea cafe because I feel like there are not so many in Michigan! I was not a huge fan of my tea, I think their timer was started slightly late and it got over brewed. Lovely atmosphere!!

Great spot for a large selection of tea and hanging with friends. They have fun tea ceremony booths and plenty of seating AND board games! I tried the temple of heaven (nice and light), precious eyebrow (wouldnt recommend but love the name), and the chai (which was my favorite!). The staff working were very quiet and since I hadnt been there before I wasnt sure if I had to wait by the counter or not. If you dont know a lot about tea I recommend doing some research before coming so youre not overwhelmed by the menu. I also recommend getting the tea flight since you get 3 teas and you can add hot water and get a few cups out of all of them!

I love coming to Goldfish for Boba as well as fresh brewed tea. The selections at this tea shop are amazing. Consider asking the staff their recommendations. I have not been disappointed yet. The Holy Basil Chai they suggested today is divine. A new favorite. Every time I go in the staff is friendly and cheerful and I really appreciate it.

Yes! Go In!Chia Latte was very flavorful one of the best, very savory with the hint of spice I love. I would rate it as one my top most enjoyable hot drinks. I ordered a large, it was one of the more pricey teas in comparison but within range. Served in a ceramic cup, thank you. I would have loved to sip just a little bit more.Service was on point with the timeliness . There were 2 employees working, a bit busy after I received my order. I believe customer service is key a simple smile a sharing of product line would add a more personal touch. I did let them know It was my first time and only then, I learned they blend their teas.Goldfish Tea just look up and around the decor is spectacular the ceiling art is amazing It drew me inside. There is seating as you enter, it opens up with plenty of seating in the back. A bit dark, tables, sofa type (hard) bench seating, some pillows a few soft chairs a bit worn.Suggestion! Layout not ideal could use a paid college intern or two to redesign the layout to create a more relaxed refresh look to compliment the Art and unique seating. Increase business and draw a wider crowd to Royal Oak Tea connoisseurs for meet ups!It was not on my agenda to stop for tea, however I had some time before my dinner and had been passing by this tea house for about a year. If it wasnt for a suggestion to try I may not have come in.The facade could use a refreshed look also! The windows open the opportunity to capture the crowd as they pass by. It will increase business .Its very popular with a young trendy college crowd, some groups tend to be very loud. I havent yet tasted the product, but I am already impressed by how helpful they were to get our order placed. I very much appreciate their attention to social media inquiries. Were all excited to try their bubble teas.

Absolutely love this place. Fantastic tea and they have Thai ice tea that they make in house and its to die for. Get their membership card it is so worth it!

I went here to meet up with a group of friends. This is a great place! I loved the atmosphere with soft music playing in the background. There was a selection of board games available, but I didnt get a chance to play any. Its a great option if youve got some time to kill.I purchased a cup of Arabian Knight tea, which was fantastic. It had a full flavor that didnt need and sugar additives.

I LOVE BUBBLE TEA! However I do not like sugary syrup flavored drinks... LUCKILY You can brew any of goldfishes collection of numerous kinds of tea and make it into a bubble tea. My personal favorite is rose petal tea with traditional tapioca bubbles. Sweet and light just right for me. So grateful to have so many options at goldfish!

This is the best boba I have had in Michigan. The boba are perfectly chewy: not overcooked to where its overly soft or falling apart, or tough like its been sitting out for too long. There is also a nice sweetness to the boba. Also, I loved their penguin tea, a mix of milk tea and black tea so that its a little stronger tea flavor than regular milk tea. At some point I would also like to try the grasshopper tea which is a mix of jasmine green tea with milk tea, although it will be difficult for me to order anything besides the penguin because it was so perfect.They do have lots of stuff on the menu besides milk tea, but I havent tried any of it yet. Lots sounded good though.This will definitely be a regular stop when we are in the Royal Oak area.

Milk tea was not flavorful or sweetened at all. boba was crunchy in the middle and tiny. this is the 2nd time i’ve come here and i’m good with that

Decent bubble tea.

A little bit pricey, but I enjoy going mainly for the atmosphere. They have live music and a decent selection of teas.

My family and I wanted a small dessert after or dinner at the nearby Iron Horse Restaurant in Royal Oak. The Goldfish Tea Cafe is a short walk, allowing the Iron Horses excellent meal to settle. The Goldfish Tea Cafe would not be out of place in a trendy Berkeley, CA, neighborhood. There is a wonderful selection of loose leaf tea, as well as Chinese and Japanese teapots and accessories. Customers place their orders at the counter, and then pick them up when theyre ready, à la Starbucks. There were plenty of tables, including a table perfect for board or card games. My husband ordered bubble tea (his first), and I had a chocolate chip oatmeal cookie, which was crisper than I like, but still delicious. There were other pastries, but Im diabetic, and I know I shouldnt have eaten the cookie. If Im going to eat something forbidden, Im going to enjoy it!There were also restrooms, which I didnt visit, so I dont know if they were clean or not.The overall vibe was very friendly: there were some couples, a young family, a game-playing group of three, etc.Lastly, as we were leaving, one of the employees was filling a bucket to mop the floor. This was a very clean establishment.

Go to spot for tea time with friends. The setting is nice and they have a lots of different teas to pick from! They also have some board games to play! I love the way they serve the tea, on the wooden box, with a seeping timer.

Wonderful selection of teas, each served with special care. Didnt realize how open mic night was going to impact the business meeting we had. The sound levels were appropriate for focusing on the music. So our meeting should have moved to the front area of the shop. I had turmeric tea and it was awesome. Realized we could refill the steeping pot late in visiting. 3 hot water temperatures depending on type of tea.

Real deal Tea Cafe! The tray set up for steeping is amazing and they have accurate temperature pumps to refill with hot water. Love the tea selection and the items and accessories to purchase are great! The gummy bear tea is one of my favorites! They also have great snacks item and non-tea beverages. Some are even unique specialty items that are often hard to find else where in Metro Detroit.

I highly recommend trying either a bubble tea or a blooming hot tea. Calming atmosphere. Plenty of knowledgeable staff about the properties of the diffrent teas.

Definitely the most variety for bun ale tea. It’s so good that it kind of ruined other bubble teas for me. Used to love around the corner and would visit quite often. The atmosphere is nice too

Want to give this a five, if it only had organic choices. But hands down this is one of the best bubble tea places in Michigan and I used to go to all of them in Ann Arbor. Also wish they had organic whole milk selection, at least- instead of skim. I always tell them to make it less sweet- but they are very accommodating and the atmosphere is great there! I get the almond coconut chocolate bubble tea with black tea and skim milk and black bubbles--yum, yum. Never impressed with the food selections-but the bubble tea is so good- I dont care : )

Decor has been a bit more westernized since the change in ownership couple years ago. Simplified the menu(no longer overwhelming); a variety of specialty items you would find at a coffee shop but also the simple stuff as well. Bubble tea is good, service is great, ambiance is great. If you like the idea of studying at starbucks but hate how crowded and noisy it can be come here instead!

I really do enjoy it here. The atmosphere is very relaxing. I would give 5 starts but the only downfall is the inconsistency in the drinks, the same drink always tastes different, but not bad!

I come here for the delicious hot chocolate made with almond milk while my friend enjoys black tea. Its expensive, however, ($7 for a pot of tea) so its an indulgence. Atmosphere is quiet but seating is not very comfortable.

Best tea and bubble tea out there. They have little order cards for bubble tea, so ordering isnt so scary and pricing is crystal clear. Its a lovely place with cool seating to sit down and enjoy time with friends down in royal oak.

The selection of teas and coffees is vast! I had a hard time deciding because so many sounded great. I did appreciate that there is a hot water station if you want one or more cups out of your tea. There are some board games, mostly old and mediocre, but its nice. I will say, the seating is pretty uncomfortable. All the seats are very hard, so its tough to stay too long anyways.

I only go for the date bars once in a blue moon. But the cafe is nice and cozy. The workers are always pleasant and helpful.

This was a good experience me and my fiance visit this location the other night the tea was excellent I think the prices on some of their products are a little high, to be more competitive they should look at online pricing and adjust their prices accordingly for equipment as well as tea products... But overall a good place to visit to get a good cup of tea and the ambiance is also a great feel....

This is where you go if you are really into tea. Dozens of varieties to choose from, served in a teapot appropriate for the type youre having, with hot water spigots for refills and a tea timer so you know its steeped long enough. Good desserts. Decent bubble tea.

I love this place. Bubble tea is my favorite and every year during the Arts, Beats, & Eats festival I make my way to Golfish Tea to get some delicious bubble tea! This cafe itself has a comforting and homey feel to it, making you want to just sit there and relax while you drink you tea. Although a tad pricey, I think this place is worth the visit!

Ive been going to this tea shop for years! Since my early college days at OCC. Its always been the perfect place to study and relax. Amazing tea and soups. My favorite is the milk oolong tea, really delicious! Plus you have got to check out the free entertainment Tuesday nights for some nice guitar and song. Im in love with goldfish tea!

I dont visit royal oak frequently, but when I do this is definitely one of my go to places. The bubble tea is an interesting concept in which is very enjoyable, and the smoothies are fantastic, with a plethora of flavors available to suit anyones taste.
