I wish I could give this store zero stars. I brought my daughter here after moving her into her dorm and the level of disrespect that I got is disgusting. I should not be overhearing conversations from store workers about how my daughter looks sketchy and that they feel like she might steal something. They think that they are better than everyone who shops here and that just because they carry expensive things that it makes the store nice. News flash, your clothes are ugly with an expensive price tag. Thats not a good look. Your management is a bunch of mean girls that never grew up and look down on people when they come in that dont fit their standards. If you are looking for a place to shop, do not stop here!!!!!

Purchased a pair of shoes on Sunday Mothers day, I asked the sales person if they didnt fit what was the return policy, she informed me that if they were returned before 7days it would be a refund after 7 days it would be store credit, I went in the day after Mothers day and was informed that all would receive is in store credit, Im posting this to make others aware of their deceiveing sales tactics, I know have a significant amount of in store credit that Im not sure if I want anything from this business

I went into Chrome for the first time yesterday and was highly disappointed! First of all, it is disturbing to me to have more health checks to enter their store than any local doctors office! 🙄 Second, one of the staff was so rude! She seems totally bothered that I was there. My whole time in the store, no one checked on me or offered to help me find what I was looking for! Don’t waste your time shopping here!

Honestly, pretty disappointed with the new location. Chrome used to be my favorite place to shop in Lubbock but the new store is not as welcoming and the staff isn’t as personable. Seems like they’re trying to cater to a different audience with the new setup. I spent about $120 on small Christmas gifts like ornaments and a specialty glass for my dad and they didn’t even wrap them up. I feel like if you’re gonna charge $70 for a basic band tee you can probably afford some tissue paper. Idk I’m probably just bitter because chrome used to be my go-to place to shop, but I’m super bummed. Won’t be going back :(((

Ive shopped Chrome for years. As a single mom to 2 teenage daughters and on a very tight budget, the staff ALWAYS pulled out clothes they thought we might like and were within my budget. Im not a big spender but Holly has never not known my name, known my tight budget or my style. The staff doesnt work on commission so if theyre helpful, its because they truly want to help. This is my go-to store to find whatever I need whether its professional wear, a dress for a wedding in the mountains, or a bathing suit, Chrome has never let me down.

The staff is insanely nice and the place is huge with tons of stuff. Its crazy, it looks tiny from outside, but once you step in, you find out its actually pretty big. I loved the stuff they had there. Unfortunately, however, the stuff here is INCREDIBLY overpriced. You think the jeans on that display are cute? How about after you find out its $200? Yikes. Even your basic graphic tees were in the $30-$60 range. Not sure how they expect to be raking in the cash when theyre placed right behind a university full of broke college students. Theyd be getting a helluva lot more business if their stuff was even close to affordable. I thought the clothes at the SUB and The Matador were expensive. This place makes them look like Goodwill! Good stuff, terrible price. Dont come here unless you hate having money.

I live in Austin, TX and I buy ALL of my cool stuff at Chrome. People are always asking me where I shop. Chrome has unique items that you cannot find anywhere...unless you are a buyer and can go to buyers Markets. I should know because I love to shop! Plus, the staff is awesome and very accommodating. I especially love Carli and Holly. Anyone who doesnt like Chrome, doesnt know fashion.

Chrome offers high end brands in clothing, makeup, and home goods you wont anywhere else in Lubbock. everything there is high quality and unique. The girls on the floor are all very helpful and friendly. I will definitely shop there again!!

The girls are always so helpful. The staff is always finding things for you that go together or that they think would look great on you and 9 times out of 10 they’re right. When Ashton started grabbing jeans for me to try on, I thought he was crazy but everything he got me fit me PERFECTLY. I was mind blown. It takes me literally a whole day trying to shop around for jeans that look good on me. He helped me pick the things I could afford and needed most. LOVE him!! I could shop at Chrome weekly. 5 stars.

Neat and very cool store!

I guess this place is struggling because they dont do refunds. Only store credit or exchanges. Also the manager is cold and short with her answers. Austin tx boutiques have cooler selections with reasonable prices.

I have always shopped at chrome since the time it has opened. Its very refreshing to see how far it has come in its growth all around, especially in its staffing. I met Griffin today she is the assistant manager very very lovely positive attitude she took the time to help me with my questions on some new designer hand bags from Austin Texas. And I loved how she promoted the empowerment of women everywhere and spoke very highly of their take on customer service and how they care about their customers! Also there is another associate named I believe by the name of Ashton he helped me get my mom some great sunglasses by Marc Jacobs for mothers day he was super great and attentive from the very start of my experience today in the store. Chrome is never a let down in its atmosphere and quality of products, this place is amazing.Thank you to Griffin and Ashton again.Come shop here you wont regret it!!

Lol this is Lubbock, Chrome. You cant pull off the high quality boutique feel in freaking Lubbock.Stop overpricing all your merchandise, its not worth what youre charging!

Chrome is a really cute place, with lots of super cute clothes. They actually had a few shirts that were XL which is nice for a girl like me! 😊 I would rate this place 5 stars, but my friend and I just went in there to browse to kill some time and we were asked if we “needed help” about 25 times. I kid you not, we told them over and over that we were just browsing, yet every few seconds a person that worked there was right behind us, looking over our shoulder and driving us INSANE. It felt like they were trying to catch us stealing or something..? Me and my friend got so frustrated that we put down what we were planning on buying and just left. 🙄. But besides that, it was great 💁🏼‍♀️

If Urban Outiftters and Anthropoligie had an expensive baby, it would be Chrome. Its kinda like a tourist attraction or museum because its unlike anything else in Lubbock and its probably out of your budget but fun to look at.

First off - pretty cool store as far as environment. Its the old South Plains Hospital repurposed into an expensive boutique that caters to a very specific set of clientele (most of which seem to be working there, but Ill get to that in a second). The prices are pretty outrageous and, though I have only been a handful of times over the years, I have noticed a lot of the same (unique and memorable) overpriced items on the shelves for over two years with no price change. If you are looking for interesting styles or gift ideas, you should take a look around and then save your money and buy the same stuff online elsewhere for much cheaper.Now, I would have rated a little higher because the atmosphere is pretty interesting and the selections are unique... BUT - the staff there is absolutely atrocious.When I was there several years ago, I was looking for something for my girlfriend as a birthday gift. I was nicely dressed and the staff seemed to act accordingly. They were still pretty snobby and fake, but somewhat helpful nonetheless. They kept trying to sell me things I did not ask for and I did not need - to the point where it was pushy and uncalled for since I came in for maybe one or two items (way too pricy, by the way).But here is why I rate at 2 stars overall: I went in recently and a manager (heard someone call her Molly?) addressed me. I had just left the gym, so I was not dressed wonderfully, but it was on the way home and I needed to pick up a last-minute gift. This woman was incredibly rude. She seemed to want me to leave because I did not look like one of their typical customers even though I had shopped around several times before in different attire. She was pushy, just like the staff had been before, but in a snobby way that made me feel unwanted. She took me to the mens section even though I was not there to shop for me and it seemed like she wanted me to dress a specific kind of way. Everything in that section was made for men age mid-30s to 40s, so I politely declined and insisted I was just there to pick up a white elephant gift for a holiday party. Since the price limit for the white elephant gift was supposed to be $20, I asked where the items in that price range might be. She wrote me off as a cheap, poorly-dressed customer that wasnt worth her time and showed me to the place where I might find some small knick-knacks that were closer to my price range. These things were still $40+ and very inappropriate (lots of curse words and lewd imaging), so I left. On the way out, I walked past several of their employees, all of them looking down their noses at me while they seemed to be chatting (inappropriate talk) and shopping for themselves since I was the only customer in the store. Needless to say, I will not be returning to Chrome ever again.TL;DRPretty cool environment with overpriced everything - worth the look if you have the money and the patience for snobby staff.

Spent over $1000 cause I heard there was a 20% discount and they were serving mimosas...only to find out that only the DG moms get the discount. Thought that was rude. Also didnt like to see the word F$&@ posted all over the store

Apparel: B Low-end Contemporary in a mid-price range. Like a boutiquey H&M with higher prices. Age aim 16-22. Not my taste, but Im unusually picky.Shoes: B+ Some goodies at good pricesSunnies: A+ Great choices from designer to vintage and great merchandisingMakeup and Beauty: A++ SO many good lines NARS, Phyto, Creed. Please dont stop carrying LAFCO candles!Staff: for going in looking pretty scruffy they were super nice while never being oppressive. Nice young ladies, who all looked very put togetherOverall a good impression.
