Neve have I been robbed by a place of business before today. Precision Tune in Royal Oak just charged me to not find and fix what was wrong with my vehicle.I know there’s not much accountability with businesses and their employees anymore, however this is a warning to the public.Professional robbery at its finest.

I just found this place and Ive been here twice in the last couple months, new tires and wheel bearing inspection on one vehicle, and rear brake job and front sway bars on another. Very fast (next day on tires, same day on brakes and sway bars). Will definitely return.

I had my break changed there over a year ago, but recently start making noise. The employee who changed my break didnt put the repair on the system and he left the company. When I went back for repair last week, I just realize they cannot find the repair on their system. The owner, John, end up honor the warranty and fixed the issue without charge. I would recommend this shop because they are honest people, and my car now running smooth without any noise.

I have taken several vehicles here for years. John is a great mechanic. He will usually offer options on the repair based upon your budget or the age and value of the car. Quality craftmanship in every repair. I have never had to take a car back because of any workmanship. I would recommend to anyone.

Got a Groupon to check this place out. It had pretty good reviews. We had a negative experience. They forgot to put the oil cap back on - the oil leaked out all over the engine. It was a mess and smelled awful to drive. They agreed to clean the engine at no cost and apologized.They also didnt clip the new windshield wipers on, sonthe first time we went to use them the basically went flying off.

SCAM! SCAM! SCAM!!!!I was in need of a vehicle and saw that Le (the owner) was selling a car on Craigslist. I felt it would be in excellent condition due to the fact that he had pretty decent reviews. I soon realized that I was wrong. After a 35 minute drive to him, I test drove the vehicle and told him an offer of what the car was worth according to Kelly blue book and my personal experience because I wanted this car in particular after doing extensive research! The car had a hand full of issues! (The axle needed fixing, the alternator belt was not working causing the engine to make a ticking sound, and there were minor electrical issues) And he also didnt have a service record which was alarming because hes the one whos been fixing the car and hes a master mechanic anyone whos honest would have one. Le said that he wouldnt take my offer and let me purchase the car for what it was worth, he wanted me to pay (majority,or in full), leave my money and the car with him and basically pay him for the rest of that should have honestly been taken care of when he listed it as excellent condition in his ad. Then when my personal mechanic asked him if the title was in his name he said No,its a jump title! Which is illegal! He quickly got angry and jumpy saying that he didnt want to sell it to me anymore and that we (me, my mom, and my mechanic who was on the phone) were too complicated all we said is that we wanted to write the money order out to the owner whos name was on the title or speak with them since he was selling it for her who was also a him at another point. and a Him and her at another. Im sorry that doing things the right way are complicated but clearly something shady was going on! He said that it would take him 30 minutes to find the number and he wouldnt have time. Im not saying dont go to him for repairs because I havent had one (nor will I be getting any after this) but please just be careful going here guys! Also!!! Dont buy a car from ANYONE if their name isnt on the title! Im not writing to bash him, but to help him to see a genuine concern from a genuine person spending their hard earned money! Do some self evaluating! Honest service income lasts longer than a quick profit being shady! P.S. if youre selling a vehicle for a customer of yours you should be able to pull the number up with no problems! And you should know if its a guy or lady. Im just saying!

I was cruising on I-75. All of sudden, a big snap noise came from my engine compartment and lost power at same time. Pulled over, and desperate called all around. Precision Tune Auto Care was the second one I tried. Luckily they could come with a flatbed to tow my 2000 Nissan Quest in really short period of time. With next couple hour of diagnosis, they discovered that the timing belt snapped and fortunately did not do damage to the head or valve. They were able to get the repair done at same day at a really reasonable price.They were very polite and professional.Thank you Precision Tune Royal Oak for your quick and honesty. All your services are great. Manager Jeff Stokes is great at customer service. While I have been to Precision Tune many times, I am always pleased at the level of service I receive. My car is the only one I have. It is my one and only mode of transportation so I cant be without it. The team at Precision Tune get me in, serviced and on my way in short order.

I take my vehicle to John and hes a delight to work with. Even during my oil changes he really goes the extra mile and tells me of any repairs that I may need or anything that looks worn in a non pressuring manner. The work received has stood the test of time and 1000s of miles. I would recommend him to anyone looking for quality work with a friendly staff.

I had an appointment at 1pm for oil change and it’s currently 1:50pm and my car hasn’t even been pulled into the shop yet. Oil change doesn’t take long and this is by far the worst expierence at any shop. I don’t see what the point of making an appointment was.

These guys have consistently done an excellent job and helped me save money wherever I can. They are very quick, Ive never had a car in the shop with them for longer than 48 hours. They did wonders with my jeep. They have a great attitude and really go the extra mile so your car can go an extra 100,000.

These guys are great. It is hard to find an honest mechanic these days. The windows on my car wouldnt work. I got a call from Precision and they told me that they just cleaned the contacts and only charged me 1 hr of labor. On top of that they gave me a free rental. Great place and friendly staff. My Subaru needed a head gaskets and timing belt done so i took it to dealership. Got a quote of $1600 + parts. Which was ridiculous, so i was shopping around and found this shop. They offered me a great deal. So far put 25000 miles on a car. Runs and Drives great *knocking the wood*, guys did an excellent job. Hopefully will get my brakes done soon, taking it back to Royal Oak =)

I have taken my Saab to Precision Tune Auto Care on several occasions over the past year and had GREAT service. I even stopped by the other night, after hours, and the Owner was willing to drop what he was doing to assist me with a small repair...at no charge. Needed an alignment due to changing out tie rods. Stopped here on my way home. Was told that rear suspension was blown out and it would be 1000.00 to replace. When I said no, technician handed me my keys with out saying a word. Went to my local dealership for a second opinion, and ONE rear bushing was bad. Cost 200.00 for alignment labor and bushing. You know that your being scammed when the dealership is 1/5 less than this joke of Place.EDIT-After owner asked for contact info, to discuss, I have heard nothing for over two weeks.

The first time I brought my new car in for an oil change, Lenny the manager called to let me know I only need to get it changed every 7K miles from now and to make sure if I go anywhere else that they look at exactly what kind of oil it says to use as its very expensive Further, something from the dealership was loose and oil was slightly leaking so they made sure it was secure.I appreciated the call and education! Had an alignment done. Got the car back, and something was off. Took it to the dealer to check the alignment, and nothing was within spec. Tried to reach Precision several times, and no one answered the phone. Stole $80 from me. Thanks guys.

Went to Precision Tune Auto Care recently (December 2013) for a tire alignment. Im seeing a lot of bad reviews, but the management recently changed and I assume that explains the excellent service I received. They explained to me exactly what I needed to know and potential causes of the problem. The customer service was excellent, the waiting room was clean and offered refreshments, and I was in and out within an hour. I will definitely go there the next time I need assistance with my car.

I took my Toyota to the dealer who told me there was so much sludge I would need an engine replacement. At the suggestion from my son I took it to Precision and the flushed it out and it ran like new. Now I take it there for everything even though they are a long way from my house. Always good results. They fix what needs to be fixed and that is that. If they do find a problem and suggest a repair, I absolutely trust their word.A good place; I wish they were closer.

I wish I could write separate reviews for the staff and for the owner.The staff is amazing. The manager, John, is among the most honest polite and trustworthy mechanics I have come across. He and he alone are why my family has brought their cars here.The owner however, horrid customer service skills. I dropped my car off at 1030 am requesting an alignment and brake pads. He instructed me I needed to leave the car there and they would get to it. When I requested any sort of time frame, he responded by the end of the day (which was not at all helpful). I was aware they closed at 3 at least. 2.5 hrs later, 1pm, I come back to check in after having walked around RO. I figure then he will tell me if I need a ride to come back later or if the wait time wont be much longer. Either way was fine with me. Just communicate. He tells me my car is up next, I say great. Walk around another 2 hrs, come back, its 3, closing time. My car hasnt moved. They havent even looked at it. Owner completely lied to me. At this point Im sunburnt and upset. What kind of business owner cant even respectfully communicate with their customers and mechanics? If you dont know the answer, dont give one. Getting any sort of service or answers from this guy during my 5 hrs of trying to get this done was excruciating.I may call and ask to work with John only, but it will be tough for me to ever give my money to this place again knowing it goes to this owner. Respect is expected.

I chose to go to Precision Tune Auto due to convenience (about a mile from my house).I needed a fuel filler neck replaced. I called on Saturday morning and they were able to get me in first thing Monday morning. Not only were they about $150 cheaper than every other shop I called in the area, they were very polite and friendly. They did take a bit longer than I wanted, due to unforeseen circumstances (more needed to be repaired on my car than they had anticipated), but were very apologetic about that.I would definitely come here again for big issues like this or just an oil change.

I came to Precision Tune Auto Care Royal Oak for an oil change, Lee told me one my lower ball joint was about to break at any moment. Lee even invited me to the bay took look at my ball joint on my Chrysler 300. They replaced the part and with alignment afterwards. Le worked with me and really helped me out! I took my car to another shop before I took it here to Le and he wasnt trying to help at all, he wanted to charge me 1300 just to diagnose my car but I talked to Le and John and they only charged 90 to diagnose it. I brought my SUV in the Royal Oak Michigan shop in April 2013 and the manager, Kerry Barozinni was very friendly. I told him that I wanted to have a check done on a condition of my truck to see how it could be corrected. He priced out a few parts for me but when I brought the truck in, the problem was actually a very easy fix! No parts needed! I had my oil changed and its like having a new car again! Everyone else in the store was very pleasant also, I had a great experience-thanks again Kerry!

I walked into the building and rang the bell because no one was at the front desk after 5 minutes no one showed up so I rang the bell again and then a guy comes from the back and then while hes walking up his saying what the hell does this guy want to do an oil change you better go somewhere else. I told the gentleman that I came for an alignment he told me to wait since the gentleman that runs the front desk is not there and hell be there whenever. Worst place in the world! Dont ever come here!

After getting complete new suspension work and tires changed on my vehicle it was recommended to do an alignment. Precision tune auto care did my alignment work at the Royal Oak location. I recently needed to rotate my tires and was informed by discount tire that my 7 months tires were complelty worn out on the inside due to bad alignment job. I had to take my car to another alignment shop to get repeat alignment on my vehicle. The new alignment shop told me the alignment work was not done correctly by precision auto care based on vehicle specs which was the reason for premature tire wear. Now I have to buy 2 new tires and paid for alignment work a 2nd time. I emailed customer service and was told someone would be in touch with me within 72 hours. Nobody has contacted me from precision tune auto care. I went in person to the shop to request refund of services performed and that they pay for 2 new tires. The manager refused to take responsibility and blamed the early tire wear on everything but the alignment work told me the Michigan roads are the reason the tires wore out so fast. I expect a full refund for the alignment work at the very least from precisiom tune auto care. Tire manufacturer has 50,000 mile warranty on tread wear but wont honor the warranty because of the bad aignment job performed based on inspection by discount tire. I dont recommend precision tune auto care for any services based on my personal experiences. I would not be surprised if they didnt even perform an alignment job in the first place on my vehicle. Most liekly they brought my car in for the work, never completed the alignment and just took my money.

Horrible Place!I brought my car here because my A/C is not working. John check my car A/C for less than 10mins. He said I need to replace blower motor resistor it would cost me $350 for them to do it. I told him Ill come back in few days because I dont have $350 to pay them right away. He said its fine, but you have to pay us $98.35 for the 5-10mins check up. He told me he will not give me my car back if I dont pay them right away. So I ended up paying them $98.35 for 5-10mins check up on my car A/C which in the first place I told them the A/C is not working. This place doesnt care about your car or they customers. They just wanna take your money. Stay away from this place!

For the six years that I have been going to Precision Tune they have fixed everything my cars problems have brakes brake lines tune up suspension everything you name it and they have done a fantastic job I will always take my car to Precision Tune

This place sucks. They were advertising an alignment special, so I took my wifes car in. We got it back and the car was pulling WORSE in the opposite direction. Took it back the next weekend to get it fixed and they said the alignment machine was broken. Took it back a THIRD time and they finally got it right. They gave me a coupon for a free oil change, so I brought our other vehicle up there at 1 PM on saturday (they close at 2 PM) and the dude said sorry cant get it in today. Meanwhile there was 1 other customer in the place.I am a resident of royal oak and believe in supporting local business but this place sucks and you should avoid it.

I had a flat tire and had to go to the nearest shop possible. I went to this place since its the closest from where i was. They were real nice when i got in and when they checked my tire ,the guy said they are not able to fix it and that i needed a brand new tire. *PS i just got new tires last October and im pretty sure theres enough tread there for them to patch it. He even told me i was driving it for too long when i was literally not even a mile away driving 10mph on main st. on a snowy day. But anyways, i told them to put my spare tire and give me my flat tire. So I went to Belle tire after, see if they can patch it. After 20 mins it was done. They patched my tire and put the spare one back to where its supposed to be. I am so glad i did not let that guy ripped me off. Belle tire did it for 20 mins when this place had to do everything in 1hr and 23 mins to be exact.This is just a warning to everyone especially for those who dont know much about car stuff like me.... Ill give them 1 ☆for putting my spare tire for $22.16.

AVOID THIS PLACE!When we told the manager that we wanted to get a second opinion on the quote he got very nasty on the phone and seemed very offended we wanted to make sure that the fix he recommended was the right one.When I came into get my car, he again was nasty and another customer sitting there told me he was nasty to her too, and told me outside how rude he was. As they have these cards soliciting online reviews, I said I would leave one and he said hed get me for slander. ( apparently does not know the difference between libel and slander, lol). Also informed me he recorded the conversation on the phone ( without anyones consent or knowledge I may add, so might be a legal issue there)I have never seen anyone more hostile or unprofessional at any workplace, ever. And the other workers I spoke to one the phone were nice but this guy was a complete hostile mess.I ended up at another place where I got better tires, and it was all $200 less. I would never recommend a friend or family come here.

I asked these clowns to replace a steering gear box and they replaced the gear box. After re-replacing the gear box, the speedometer and odometer did not work due to not setting the speedo cable properly. I had to leave my vehicle with them for several days twice. These guys are disorganized and sloppy. Ill never bring my car to them again...ever.

Took my wifes car to work on to get an oil change and then the check engine light came on and my remote engine starter quit working. My son took his car for a radiator flush and whlie driving off the tires seemed out of balance. These may be two coincidences, but it worries me.
