I just drove by yesterday, and saw the STORE CLOSING; EVERYTHING 30% OFF signs. Great. No office supply stores left in Schenectady County. Goodbye, impulse purchases, and seeing what things look like/size before making a purchase, hello Amazon. Oh, well... The place hasnt been well stocked for the past 2 years anyway.

DO NOT go to this store. They have home office desks on display and nothing in a box, trying to sell the damaged displays for tagged price. Will not come down on pricing. Very poor experience and they have lost a customer and sale!

I had written in some time ago, giving one star, because of a rather frustration experience with OfficeMax regarding the purchase of a printer. I would like to follow up to say — it’s now early December — that with the help of their executive customer relations representative, a Ms. Giraldo, i have finally received the refund due for the printer that was never sent. It was through the representative’s expert understanding of the issue that she was finally able to resolve this. It was a difficult problem for her to tackle, but she finally did it. Her courtesy and professionalism was tops.

Everything always goes smoothly when I come here however the last time I came I rushed here because I was thinking they closed at 6 like the sign and the internet say, and they were closed 15 minutes early ! What the hell! So needless to say I’m frustrated with this service as that’s kind of ridiculous to close that early.

This is a great location for copies and shopping services. Staff are polite and helpful. Many different copy types can be completed. Pricing in store is usually good but always check the website because pricing is sometimes cheaper and they will give you the website price in store.

I needed a lot of custom calendars spiral bound for a promotional event on Saturday. There was a big mix up that could have been a diaster, but thanks to two very great workers in the Rotterdam office my calendars will be done and ready 1 day ahead of time. Thank you Jasmine & Katie

The worst OfficeMax ever. Every single time I come here it’s an issue and I’m sick of it. I go to this location out of convenience because it’s 10 mins from my office. I work for myself and I’m usually there at nights. They usually print my orders wrong, wasting the paper that I produce them with and then shrug and say I’m sorry.Last time I was there they printed my order wrong TWICE, not on the paper I gave them. Then told me that they gave me my paper back, which was a lie. I gave them label paper to print labels on and they gave me back regular paper.Tonight I go there and the printers are printing my orders wrong. Then all they tell me is “they can’t help me tonight. Never again.Absolutely done with this company.

We went to the Rotterdam OfficeMax on August 17 and bought an Epson printer — price $129.99 with $10.40 tax — total $140.39. Since they didn’t have the item in the store it was to be delivered in three days. Since then we have received order confirmations with the notation that “delivery date for your order has changed”. Every promised delivery day was followed with this same notation. We were patient expecting to finally receive our purchase. He printer never came. We finally cancelled our order. In answer we received a notice from the customer resolution team on October 14 thanking us for our business and informing us that they have received our cancellation request and that in case we receive the order, we are to refuse delivery and then a credit will be issued. PRINTER WAS NEVER SENT!!!!!!The manager from the store tried to get this straightened out. Telephone contact was made from the store and it was discovered that the printer has not shipped and is still in the warehouse. Manager tried to refund our money but was not able to do so because we were not returning the printer and therefore their computer would not issue the refund because there was no box with the barcode to match our receipt. No refund has been issued by Satyam Girish, Contractor of the Costumer Resolution Team, who is the person who sent all the notices of delayed deliveries and who acknowledged our cancellation knowing that the printer is still in their warehouseSo here we are three month later. OfficeMax obviously does not care to make this right. I have sent emails, made telephone calls always getting a new representative, acknowledging that there is a problem with promises to set this right. IT IS NOT HAPPENING!!!!!!Costumer service obviously is not important to this business. Don’t buy anything in this store that you can’t immediately take with you.

It depends whos working when you go. The first time I went looking for a laptop, it was great. Second time a couple days later (I now had the $ to buy the laptop) it was awful. Employees talking on cell phones, totally not helpful. Made me feel like I was imposing.

I like this store very much. I came in looking to buy a cloth to clean my smartphone screen. The price for the cloth was very fair and I bought a few of them. The staff here are very nice and you can get in and out in a timely fashion.

I have purchased a few things from this store. I bought a PC stand #101115 very good quality for the kind of wood that it is. The staff are friendly but can be a little misleading. I purchased the hutch to go with the desk #101110 that I was my 32 flat screen TV/Monitor would fit under no problem.I put the desk together looked my TV/Monitor and just had to call the store and talk to a represenative in furniture. I asked if he would go measure the height and width of the hutch for just under the glass windows to the to of the desk. This time I was told there is no way that the TV/Monitor for my Computor will fit in that space. The funny part is I brought the measurements with me. Was that to make a sale our to aggravate me? I brought the hutch back. Was no problem with the return at all. I purchased a 1TB external hard drive for .08 cents more that I gladly put on my debit card. I highly recommend that external hard drive since kids do work on computors at school these days. There home work can be right on the drive. I asked the stag where that drive was thinking they would show me just to be told the isle number it should be in which was the wrong one.The desk itself turned out good. If you purchase this desk & hutch together I recommend you bring a tape measure and have the height and width of your TV and measure that for yourself.Putting the desk together you will want to follow the directions. Sorry the parts out since there are allot. The wooden pegs, screws, nut locks all come in numbered bags for each step. You will want to follow them step by step. That is unless it comes to using the glue. I did not use the glue with the wooden pegs. That would just make a mess. My desk came out just perfect. That is after I fixed the drawer that did come of track on one side when I first went to track it. The representative in furniture was more then willing to explain how to repair the drawer though so thumbs up there. The door is testy. I finally got mine as I expected it to come out. The tray works good for me. Better then i expected after reading some reviews on desks. Not on this desk but others.If I was not told the TV/Monitor would fit under the hutch just for me to have to bring it back then I would give 5 stars. When you are screwing the parts in that need to be I suggest you start that by hand so out is in good. Not all the way but so it is not going to tear at the wood. I learned that the hard way. After all that is NOT solid wood. More like pressed wood. You get what you pay for though. You can not beat the price I payed for the desk on sale. Regular price is $229.99 I payed $94.99. I seen more expensive desk in there store that did not look as good as the L shaped corner desk. Just because one has a internet connection and outlet at the to right corner does not make it any better off a desk. It is bigger yes. I was looking to save space not use more then need be. I am a happy shopper for the most part.The staff need to be more willing to be able to show you where things are instead of telling you and not really sure and have you wondering when you get to where they said. That would be a huge plus specially when they have staff at there store on the clock and standing around doing nothing.

The customer service in the store is outstanding they greet you as you come in someone works with you and helps you to find what you need and theyre always happy happy to see you and they always leave you smiling theyre very kind and courteous. I dont shop anywhere else theyre also very honest and they dont try to sell you something that you didnt need or come in for.

Amazing customer service. I was having trouble with my computer and they did a free PC health check on it. They did great. The one assocate Austin B. was a great help and helped me to find both a tablet for my small business and a new office chair. The employees are great and very helpful. I would highly recomend them and will go to them for all my computer related needs aswell.

Needed to print documents from the internet. They didnt allow access to documents and had to upload docs to OM site, then send to local store. Super inconvenient. Went to local print shop instead. Also, two other OM did allow access to print online at terminal in store, just not this one.
