Our first visit to the store started out fine. Two women were helpful enough while we shopped. We bought a variety of items for slightly under $100.Upon removing the outer plastic wrap from a designer plastic wrap kit we bought, I decided I didnt want to bother with any assembly, and thought to return the $15 item.When I tried to return the kit, I was told by the owner that there was nothing I can do about it. How am I supposed to sell it now? Hmm. She then proceeded to tell me how easy it was to assemble, but made no offer to put it together or to help me do so. I told her that I was not a happy customer, but received no response. Wow. Odd policy to alienate new (or any) customers from wanting to return, especially over such a small amount. We will not return. Borderline rude. Not helpful or understanding..

The two women that run Winterberry Home rude and snobby. I have been in several times and every time they have followed me around the store like Im trying to steal something!! The first couple of times I gave them the benefit of the doubt and thought it may just be a fluke. Then I brought my daughter in to pick her out a gift and they hovered over her. When she went to pick up a stuffed animal they told her not to touch it, they had special ones that could be touched or petted. I DO NOT let my child wander in stores so it wasnt like I wasnt standing right next to her!! And she knows better than to touch anything breakable. Why in the world would you have a store with toys and not want a child to go near them?! I am an upper middle class woman who has taught my children to always use their manners, at home and especially in public. And obviously these two women were never trained in this skill! I will not ever go to Winterberry Home again and will definitely share my experience with everyone I know.
