I had a good experience with Artisan Movers. We booked 2 movers to move us from Rockville to Frederick within a week of our move. They were fast and super friendly during the move. They took care to wrap our furniture to protect it during the move. I moved from CA to MD just one year ago and was super gun-shy about using professional movers because the previous ones destroyed literally everything we owned. Artisan movers put me at ease. They did a great job and they worked hard. It ended up being a little more expensive than we anticipated, but it was worth it to have our furniture arrive without a bunch of dents and scrapes. And nothing got lost! That in itself is a feat based on how many items did not arrive from our previous move. We are very satisfied with our experience with Artisan Movers and would use them again.

This was my third move with Artisans. No move is too big or too small. The first move was a 5 bedroom house with a full basement. The last move was a small amount of stuff, moving my mom into a small assisted living apt. They are always on time, well prepared and very courteous. Everything is wrapped beautifully and they were even able to do packing when I called the day before, realizing I could not get it all done. They are my go-to movers. I dont bother calling anyone else anymore.

I booked Artisan Movers for a 32 mile move from MD to VA and was really pleased with the service. We were moving out of a 1b1b apartment and had 3 guys assigned to our job. They arrived on time and gracefully dealt with some freight elevator issues at our origin building. Ive gotta say, I genuinely didnt know you could move stuff so quickly! Once the elevator was up and running, they packed the truck in less than an hour. Nothing was sacrificed in the process - all of our furniture was wrapped first in blankets, then in shrink wrap, and taped down for security.We had several unusual items that I was worried might be a challenge - a bumper plate tree and weight bar among them - but it turned out totally fine. All of our electronics were delivered safely and in working order too. Im really happy I chose a professional moving company over doing it myself with a U-Haul! I look forward to working with them in the future if the need arises.

Everything was done quickly and efficiently. I had planed to list my home quickly and was able to book a move a few days ahead. With two young kids and family out of town moving myself on days notice would have been near impossible. Artisan did everything great including moving a small play-set I had in the backyard. Overall the movers did a great job. I did sustain some damage to artwork, and stained glass. I had been reassured that the moving van had a special place for start and the movers would diligently wrap pieces. They were not wrapped. My stained glass art piece I bought in Hawaii has 2 broken glass sections. I am not sure it can be repaired. Also a custom framed piece had chopped damage to the frame. Coincidentally these pieces were adjacent to each other and neither were wrapped. None of my art pieces were wrapped as promised. This was most disappointing as I had planned to wrap them myself but was totally reassured theyd be taken care of properly. Sigh. Id love to give 5 stars, as everything else was taken care of perfectly, but these damages were disappointing on many levels. Artisan Movers, you need to wrap all artwork, esp stained or other glass artwork in bubble wrap as promised.UPDATE: I filed a claim for the damages, to the art as well as other items that RUBBED against each other [they dont wrap blankets around wooden items with finishes on them that could be damaged and thus I had a bunch of items like that which had damages. Artisan took only a few weeks to agree to pay the claim and I got a check and nice note from them. I was pleased to see that but I cannot repair my cracked stained glass and unless I asked for airline tickets to go back to Hawaii to buy a new piece from the shop in Maui where I got it, I have a damaged item I cannot fix. A shame really as it was totally preventable as were all the other damages. I did also notice the many large wood items, like bookcases had crunched bottom corners, probably from transport. Again this could have been prevented if they took the care to wrap these items in softer materials vs plastic wrap that didnt prevent the crunched damages I have now noticed as I look closer at my furniture. Sigh. I still stand by them for their commitment to move as well as they could for a long distance move across the USA. I would suggest large wood items have cardboard affixed to the bottom corner, or whichever corner is on the ground and getting rattled in transport to reduce/prevent this erosion of the item.

I was overcharged. They worked for 8 hours but the final bill was for 9:15 hours. The crews were very slow and they took break every 20 minutes. They talked with their cellphones many times. Also, I got a quote for my move and it was about $1100 but the final bill was $1800!

Artisan Movers moved my household 2 days ago. It was a local move, only 10 miles, but it was a large household. Cris came with 5 other movers and two trucks and arrived at 9:10 AM, and they were finished by 3:45 PM (delivered all items to our new rental house). Cris stressed that it was his goal to be as efficient as possible, and if I had any questions or concerns, that he would take care of them.I was very impressed with Cris and his entire crew. They quickly moved through the house and took all the boxes that we had packed and furniture items, and offered to take anything else we hadnt gotten to in our packing, which was a good bit. I liked the fact that Artisan Movers brought wardrobe boxes to be used in the move so I didnt have to pay for any (they take back the wardrobe boxes when the move is complete). They also took special care of my wifes upright piano. They were courteous, friendly and in good spirits the entire time.I am retired from 20 years in the Navy, and had been through 17 moves during that time. No move I have had previously compared to the ease and efficiency with which this move occurred. I am a total fan of Artisan Movers, and plan to use them again in 9 months when I move out of this rental house to a permanent house.

The Artisan Movers were professional and quick, and the quote of 6-7 hours for the move was accurate.Two days later some furniture movers working for a local furniture store could barely get 2 bedroom sets into our house and ended up damaging the stairs. Artisan Movers did a great job for our move from a townhouse to a single family home. I was very impressed by how hard the guys worked especially given the high heat that day. The quote I received was very accurate. Nothing was broken during the move, however some walls did get marked in a tight staircase, but it was an easy fix. The money I paid was well worth the work they did.

I must say, Artisan Movers is amazing! I called and got a good estimate and was all set for our move from Gaithersburg to Fairfax. They showed up 30 minutes before the time they said they would. Very experienced and careful guys were sent over to me. They wrapped my stuff up and loaded everything on the truck within a good amount of time. The guys were great, worked as fast as they could and were very professional. I was very happy with the service we received. Our stuff arrived in great condition and they really took care of our belongings making sure everything was wrapped in a blanket. All in all, I was very satisfied with Artisan Movers, from beginning to end. They are affordable, reliable and hard workers! Call them for your next move. Youll be happy that you did.

Needed help moving from Gaithersburg to North Potomac, called for an estimate and had Dimitry and Marc at my house for a FREE in home estimate the next day. They both were very helpful in explaining the process and walking me through what to expect on moving day. After receiving 3 other estimates I knew Artisan Movers were going to be my choice. I used AM for a move of about half of my three bedroom house within the Bethesda area in April 2019, and was very satisfied with the timeliness, careful packing, accurate quote and friendliness and honesty of the staff and moving crew. I did not hesitate to book a second move of the remaining items in my house in June, which required dropping off stuff at three locations. gain, the service proved to be as good as the previous one. I would highlight that even though the rate is by the hour, and that you are charged for the packing materials used, which could be an incentive to be idle and wasteful, the crew really does its best to plan an efficient strategy, makes an effort to do a quick and time-wise seamless job, and uses only the strictly necessary materials for good packing, nothing was damaged. Finally, the positive attitude of the crew: Alex, Cristoval, Darwin and Edwin, really minimized the stress of moving. Thanks AM!

Artisan Movers did a fantastic job helping me move from my 3BR house in Arlington, VA. Dimitri first came to my house to see how much would need to be moved and he explained the whole process - I was very happy to learn that I wouldnt need to pack up the closets as they had wardrobe boxes and would do that for me - saved me so much time and effort!The 4-man crew showed up exactly on time and were amazing! They were polite, efficient and worked non-stop to pack up the truck and unpack at the new house as quickly as possible. Everything showed up damage-free and they consulted with me about where all of the furniture should go in the new house. It was a very stress-free experience. I was very impressed and will absolutely be using Artisan Movers in the future!
