I committed the ultimatel foolishness in spilling what I thought was an inconsquential amount of water on my lap top, then not disconnecting power. Brian saw me the same day - opened up my lap top and committed it to the laptop morgue. However within 2 days he was able to provide an upgrade, transfer the hard drive, and show me which systems would need to be automatically updated, all at a reasonable price. This is a person that I trust and I will never go big box again. Highly recommended.

Negative experience. Spoke to the owner by phone after calling several times. Drove to the location and was so disappointed when I walked in. The young girl was not friendly, seemed annoyed I was there. The interaction was pretty uncomfortable for me. Not a good first impression sorry!

I was recommended this place by an associate as I didnt know who works on Macs. The owner runs the business out of his home, is attentive in responding to phone calls and has good customer service. He does have a large selection of laptops, provides service (software and hardware), and upgrades. Stop by.

I just stick with the winners who keep it simple and to the point. They meet my needs and educate me when needed. Just as much as having the charger I needed. Unlike Wal-Mart and best buy.

Wasnt expecting 2 weeks and then they said that the seller of my part isnt selling it... It would be 1 star but they did fix part of the problem at no charge... Still was overly unsatisfied with the customer service and the business presentation as a whole... Good luck with this place

I have bought 3 computers from them in the last year or so, and I’m about to buy another. I’ve had one service issue with them, due to a replacement part that had to be ordered out, so it took about 2 weeks to get resolved, but they took care of it, and we haven’t any problems since. I’m an IT professional myself (of 25 years experience) and have no qualms recommending you consider them for your next purchase. There are good reasons almost every rating of their business is a 5. Don’t be put off that they run their business out of their home; it’s one of the ways they keep the prices affordable.

Affordable Laptops is in the business to actually help, not just swindle customers out of money. They are efficient and fair. My MacBook air had water damage and every other computer place was going to charge me at least $50 to even analyze what was wrong. Affordable Laptops is AWESOME because they didnt charge me to take a look at my laptop and it turned out that all it needed was a power reset. Now it works perfectly. 10/10 recommend- dont take your broken laptop to any other place.

1. I used their services three times over the period of a year and not once could not get them to give me an estimate when work would be completed no matter how much I pressed for one, instead got vague assurances they’d work on it soon. Each time took over a month.2. I could rarely get them to answer the phone when I called. When they would answer I most often was told that someone who (conveniently) wasn’t in could answer the questions and that I should just call back later. I would ask them to have that person call, they would tell me they would, no one would call. I would text asking for details and most often receive no reply.3. I never once received an itemized bill of the work done. The last time I asked what I was being billed for the guy rattled off a couple of general fixes made and then trailed off with “we did all sorts of things.”4. Last time I got my PC back they had clearly not done the work correctly and had to take it back to them. I all but begged him to have it fixed sometime soon (it took three weeks for them to get it to the “not fixed” state I got it back from them in) but I got no assurances other than they’d “try” to get it soon. Four days and four unanswered texts later I finally went back, picked up my still-broken computer, took it home and washed my hands of the whole deal. I took it to another repair place and they had it fixed within two hours. They also pointed out several mistakes Affordable Laptops had made in installing my motherboard.

This is the perfect small, informal type business that Im always looking for in every field because the owners and employees have integrity and are always honest, almost to a fault. These guys will get you the absolute best deal or send you elsewhere to get it. They back up their work and their parts without the need of some big warranty contract. What a day! These guys are legit. My wife has been wanting a laptop for school and I was needing one for video editing. I walked out of this place with a Mac and HP laptop. If you need something repaired fast, this might not be the place. They did a good enough job but they took 3x as long to do it as they told me it would take upfront.

I needed my HP Laptop screen replaced, so I called ahead to see if they had the parts. The guy I talked to was very helpful and said I could come in and that they have the part. I was incredibly suspicious at first, but went with the wife anyway. Talked to the owner - who is a genuine old school electrical engineer and hardware guy. Ended up chatting for hours, and taking a laptop off his hands. I was impressed by their skills and knowledge in diagnosing incredibly arcane board level problems, as well as their ability to repair - rather than replace - boards and chips for my wifes gaming laptop. Put your skepticism aside - these guys are the genuine article.

I bought my laptop from affordable laptops last week and have been more than happy with it. It’s a little dinged up, but still in great condition for the price I paid. Much better deals than I had seen at any other laptop shop. Plus, there’s a 90 day warranty that set my mind at ease.The guy brought me into his living room (I think his name was Bryan, but I can’t remember for sure), showed me a few laptops he had been working on and left me to make my decision.There was absolutely no sales pressure and the transaction was easy. He even knocked off an extra $100 for me. They also offer laptop recycling, so I was able to just ditch my old broken laptop there.After Using my computer for a week, I found a lot of delightful little unexpected extras that I won’t mention here, as well as a few things that lead me to believe these guys are the real deal when it comes to IT knowledge.One thing to watch out for though: I learned about this place from searching on KSL. The computer they had listed on there was a nicer looking computer at a cheaper price and clearly wasn’t in the shop. So, technically there was a little bit of a bait and switch going on. I still probably would have chosen the laptop I did, but just keep that in mind when you go in.

I brought my laptop to them back in April. Every time I call they pass it on to someone else who isn’t there. And each time I call they say they will have some guy call me back but they NEVER do. This has happened soooo many times. Something fishy is going on here. It’s been three months. I just want my stuff back! I’ll most likely have to bring a police officer to this “house” they call a “business” to retrieve my computer.

Between me and extended family, we have purchased 10+ laptops from them.Lady from church had a problem with her laptop and sent it to the company who loves you! Well they told her it needed a new motherboard and would be better off to purchase a new one. After paying the $50 fee to have them tell me this, I took it to Affordable Laptops. They just said that the keyboard had been unplugged, ran an anti-virus and didnt charge. That is service that wins lifetime customers.

Had a MacBook Pro that had a little bit of liquid damage that damaged the battery, but everything else worked fine. Taking it to Apple, they wanted $700 and 6 days to replace everything within the computer, even though the battery was the only thing noticeably defective. Took it to Affordable Laptops, they replaced the battery in the MacBook for about 10% of the price Apple would have charged, and it took less than an hour. They made sure to warn us about any issues relating to the liquid that was found, and were super friendly throughout the process.

Very disappointed...

The hard drive in my computer crashed at the beginning of July. I was worried it would cost me a ton of money to recover the data and replace the drive. Affordable laptops was able to get a new drive in my computer that day and it didn’t cost much.However, it is now September 20th and I have yet to get my data back from them. The location is hard for me to get to but I have gone out there twice under the impression that my data would be ready only to be told it hasn’t been transferred yet. I’ve called over and over and they have told me they would call when it’s ready but I’ve never received a call. Yesterday when I called I was told they hadn’t even started to transfer it into a new drive yet. It’s been close the 3 months since I initially dropped off my computer. I need that data back and I still don’t have it. The great service I got on that first day is now heavily overshadowed by being ignored for 2+ months.

Took my daughters Macbook in to be repaired when the system gave me a black screen when booting. They instantly knew the problem and saved me hundreds over what Apple would charge to repair it. You can trust these guys.

They said it would take two weeks to fix and it took a month and a half. When I finally did get it back all the screws were missing so it kept falling apart. Wouldn’t go here again.

Just wanted to share my great experience with Affordable Laptops. The track pad and keyboard on my macbook were completely unresponsive so I took it in to the Apple store where they quoted me for a ludicrous $475 dollar repair which they were unable to do in house. I ended up walking out of the store with a computer that was in worse condition than it was when I walked in. I went to the guys at Affordable Laptops and explained to them my situation, they opened up my computer and discovered that the problem that was suspected at the Apple store was not so and got it working for me again within 15 minutes. After they were done I asked, what do I owe you guys and they said, Nothing! We didnt do anything. They actually did some sort of reset on the computer that ended up fixing my problem.These guys are totally honest and trustworthy, highly recommended! If I ever have an issue with my computer, Id definitely go to them!
