I love this grocery store 😍 if I were rich Id only shop here. Right now its a bit too pricey for my daily shopping. The cashiers are so pleasant and kind!

Didnt like the service I recieved getting damaged meat yesterday. When I called today after my meeting, I spoke with Manager Michael who said I can either get a refund or get the product. Truth be told the majority of the turkey bacon was torned. He had a difficult time getting halfway presentable peices of bacon. What a Disappointment.

Love the $20 Meal Deal you can make at home! Such a great deal and definitely delicious.

Excellent. I hadnt been there for months, and I was happy to get my favorite Fresh Market foods.

I loved it. Really good meat and produce and candy.

Seems like a store with Whole Foods pretentions and pretty much they are. You can get a five dollar small bag of snow peas. And they are good, but 2x the cost from the price leader? The list goes on. Dont look for bargains but do expect good quality. I did enjoy all that I bought but my wallet was not all that happy.

The meat, deli, and seafood counters make this well worth the trip. Way out of my price range for regular shopping, but its a nice treat.

Great slection of bakery items, nice fresh flower section. Ready made food is nicely prepped. Clean and well laid out.

I like Fresh Market SO much more than Whole Foods!

There are excellent butchers- attentive and knowledgeable. Flower staff very helpful. Food in prepared section is not always consistent.Generally if you need to find something its hot and miss. Cashiers are friendly. I wish tge store had paper bags with handles. I have never met the managers here where as at Libby Market they are very visible. I worry with the new Publix this store might have trouble.

Very nice place and was super clean

Such a great store!! I left my wallet (with recent Christmas cash) in a cart there, an employee found it, and the manager attempted to reach me in multiple ways to return it! All the cash was intact. Highly recommend!

Really nice inside, I didnt purchase anything on this particular trip, but it is really nice had quite a few great things in it, but I will be back to purchase.

No one to there help you, lines everywhere, and finally found the manager who was chit chatting and with 1 of the 4 employees actually working.As the prices you pay here, there should be a little more focus on customer services.

Pretty good location. Need to staff up at rush/peak hours, long checkout lines. Most employees nice/helpful. Once in in a while inventory is low, have found expired items, but overall is nice.

Out of fresh turkey breast two days before Thanksgiving & did not answer phone before I wasted twenty minutes driving there. Pathetic.Let see what Publix has to offer!

I should start by saying I love Fresh Market. However, yesterday I bought the chicken potpie with puff pastry. I heated per the instructions. The only thing decent was the pastry. The chicken, vegetables etc were horrible. Bland doesnt begin to describe it. I had to toss in the trash. Next time Ill buy a potpie from KFC.

Today was my first time actually the personal were helpful the store has atmosphere and a big plus for fresh high quality meats produce looks great and also the store appearance was excellent.

Charged full price for sale item and pushed through line like cattle. Later the same day I received a kind and respectful note from the manager. Ive returned week after week for the creative, delicious, affordable Little Big Meals. Glad I didnt let my cranky, overly sensitive reaction to an isolated situation cut short all of the subsequent delightful encounters Ive experienced with staff and shoppers.

So generous with their samples - and none of those disappointing times at other places where you see a sample booth and instead of Dino Buddies its a window salesman. A gift of coffee and almond cookies from fresh market beats flowers any day. Youll know what I mean when you try the coffee. Its a sample. See what Im saying.

Recently I went into the Fresh Market to purchase some fish for my dad. Ben (in the seafood department) was incredible- so positive and kind and helpful. I asked for a particular type of salmon that wasnt available, and he said No problem- Ill make some for you right now! and he did! With a kind smile and a wonderful disposition, he is a major asset to the store. Ben definitely deserves a raise!!

Clean, fresh and a wonderful experience

Went to Carytown Fresh Market for lunch today.I’m not sure what’s going on there, but I stood at the prepared foods counter for a total of 5 minutes, maybe longer(no other customers around) waiting for 1 of the 3 employees to look at me. Not one of them asked if they could help me , nor did they look in my direction! So I figured I’d walk around the store to see if I could find what I needed already out... no such luck! I went back to the same area of prepared foods... same thing. 3 employees chatting. Finally after about 2 minutes, the dishwasher can me over and looked at me... I asked for Chicken Salad.Next, I went to the Salad Bar ... a joke! Finally, after about 15 minutes of trying to get food, I went to check out. I won’t even go there. The whole experience there was RIDICULOUS!For the prices you pay there, I would expect great customer service and efficiency. You are NOT cutting it. I would hope that you would train your employees to put your customer first! I’m usually a chill person and respectful, but Fresh Market you have some work to do!! I’m giving 2 stars only because you have beautiful flowers.

Sushi is great but sells out fast. Prepared meals are good and fresh. Crispy cookies are delicious! Staff is friendly and helpful. It is pricey but you get what you pay for.

I love the chicken salad deal where you get the croissants for free and the take home pizza

They have great stuff here. Everything will made you feel good about yourself. We popped in to grab a couple specialty ingredients for a fancy pie (they have fancy stuff here) and grab a few tempting extras and left with a bill of $104!... So if you want to feel great about your food purchases, shop here but first find a job that pays over 100k

My girlfriend and I got tired of getting into fights in the Kroger parking lot, so we gave this place a try. They have a really good selection and the prices arent awful for everyday items. Some of the more unique stuff was a bit outrageously priced, but it forced me to be a bit more deliberate with my purchases. Probably will repeat, because it was nice to leave a grocery store and not feel like I had just been in a brawl.

Definitely the prettiest grocery store around, a little pricey bit you get what you pay for for the most part. Staff are always friendly and efficient. Their coffee selection is very good and can be ground with multiple setting depending on how you prefer. Their store brand hardwood lump charcoal is the only kind I use, its just fantastic. Only place around that I know of that stocks Orangina. Also if I need a specialty gourmet ingredient I might be able to find it elsewhere but I generally save myself the trip and just go to Fresh Market.

This is our favorite grocery store for prepared foods. They have wonderful soup’s, a great salad bar, seafood bar, rotisserie chicken, and other prepared foods. Classical music plays while you shop and the staff is wonderful!

Recently we purchased a Thanksgiving dinner from The Fresh Market and it was delicious.

Great staff & pleasant experience!An employer was stocking yogurt around a narrow corner. He quietly stepped back while my husband shopped for a bunch of flavors. We also had pleasant time at meat counter buying the BOGO pound of bacon deal & explained they would take off for the free pound at the checkout. Checking out was nice as always.

I am from Vermont and enjoy coming to your store whenever I visit my sister and brother-in-law in Richmond. I like that it doesnt have the glaring lights and the selection is wonderful. Each department exceeds Trader Joes which we have in VT, theres really no comparison.

Jeff the meat dept.mgr is wonderful.hes very knowledgeable and gives excellent customer service.

This is a very nice store. Its easy to get in and out of, and they have a large selection of meats and prepared foods. They also run great specials. They typically have everything you would want, but sometimes it can be a little expensive. I usually will go here instead of trying to deal with the Kroger in Carytown.

Produce department sucks. Apparently Mondays are their “worst day,” I was told after driving an hour to do Thanksgiving dinner shopping. Go to Ellwood Thompson’s for good produce.

This is one of three grocery stores currently in Carytown and the Fan. Unlike Elwood Thompsons which is more organic/vegan and stuff like that, Fresh Mart is very much like Trader Joes. The produce is good but I would not go out of my way for it. Where it really shines is the meat department, which has good prices and good quality.

Really great food. Great place to get a hot panini for lunch or pick up dinner to take home. Large wine selection, beautiful fresh produce and a large variety of fresh breads in the bakery. Enjoy!

I love this fresh market! The people who work there are always friendly, helpful and overall just a great shopping experience. Stop by on Tuesdays for great deals on chicken breasts! They have pretty good deals on the weekends as well.

Great store to pick up produce or something from the butcher shop. Decent selection of cheeses; lots of prepared foods at the deli; nice select of coffees and the bakery is evil (super tempting pastries and deserts). Definitely pricey, but normally worth it.

Robert from the meat section is awesome! Asked him for a recommendation and he custom-made a handbreaded chicken breasts for us. We greatly appreciate he 5-star service all the way! Best food market in all of RVA!!!

The chicken breasts on Tuesdays are much smaller than they use to be. If you buy and grind your own coffee, double up the bags. The bags are now super cheap and the bottoms come unglued. Lost 10.00 worth of coffee the first time but this has now happened a few times. Not a good sign when you see them pinching pennies on bags for over priced coffee.

The atmosphere of the store , and the employees are all very helpful, and friendly.Ordered my lunch from the deli.A bit pricey, but the food was awesome.

I have shopped at this location since it opened. Have to go elsewhere for many products, but I do like the produce and meat. I have always found the staff to be helpful and courteous.Since I am recovering from eye surgery, this TG we opted to try the prepared foods. So far, have thrown out the stuffing after one taste, have had to “doctor” the whipped sweet potato/squash dish, the cranberry relish is good, by quite watery, the gravy is horrid — going to trash along with the stuffing. Fully-cooked Turkey breast reheating in over at present but does not taste promising. What a disappointed and waste of much money. Most Disappointing, and worse TG I have ever had.

Not a nice place. Robert in the seafood area is nasty bigot! He was extremely rude and barbaric. He insulated me to the extreme. Other patrons recognized his behavior and rushed to my said. He slammed my items on the counter and informed me that I was speaking in a manor that was unclear. I am extremely articulate and have never been spoken to the way Robert spoke to me. Never shop here.

I really like this place. Specialty/high end good food. Friendly. Never too crowded. It is a little pricey but that is to be expected for quality.

Went just to get a sandwich made. They make really great custom sandwiches or they did. I was told they dont do it anymore and no reason just we stopped. Well I have allergies and need to control what goes in my food. Sad to say I wont be back. I rolled right over to wegmans where I got just what I wanted. Small markets like this cannot afford to lose people to the big boys but they lost me and I will. It be recommending them to any of my clients either. Yep she did not

Beautiful store and one of the few that makes grocery shopping fun. A suggestion: please carry more dairy alternatives like Ripple coffee cream and also Emlhurst, a dairy company that had gone to plant based products

A wonderful selection of high end groceries. I swear they charge you extra for the classical music playing throughout the store. Their bulk foods are where its at!

Everything appears fresh, excellent candy and chocolate selection, staff is mostly friendly and helpful, I personally dont care for dark grocery stores though I guess some folks like it.

This place is expensive and corporate, however they are a great little place for specialty food items. The drawback being its unclear what their niche is other than being bougie. Like they arent all organic, local, etc. But they have a lot of that sort of food. Good beer and wine selection also.

Started shopping here a few months ago, and I love TFM. The employees are super friendly and helpful. Great produce and meats, with na large variety of wine. They have really good sushi and awesome bowls, soups, and sandwiches, for a quick grabngo meal. Their prices are moderate to high, but for the quality of what youre getting its worth it in the end. I highly recommend The Fresh Market to anyone looking for a great store, offering healthier selections.

Its more upscale and expensive, but I love how they play REAL Christmas music all December long. Its really refreshing to hear real Christmas music instead of the fake Pop stuff. The customer service is also great.

Salads are always fresh. Love the Rotisserie Chicken Salad. Great service in all departments.
