Today I went into Wolfgangs on a fools mission. Im pulling my engine this Friday to, among other things, install the thermostat and flaps that the previous owner had thrown away. I got the parts, used, from The Samba Clasifieds, and the thermostat, flaps, everything seemed in good order. Then--two days before time I set aside to pull the engine--I noticed that the return spring that keeps the flaps open was about ready to crack. I could not use it--and this return spring spring cannot be purchased new. Anyway, I went to Wolfgangs to get a few other items and showed the spring to one of the guys behind the counter. Sorry, he said. Then another guy working there said, Wait a minute. He came back in about two minutes with the exact same spring--but it looked brand new. Hows two bucks?This is a part that you would not find at most parts stores. In fact, this particular part should have been impossible to find in the two short days before I had a three-day weekend to do some needed upgrades to my motor. Wolfgangs doesnt even sell the part because they cant get them--like everyone else. But they came through for me, just when I needed them.I cant thank them enough.

Built an engine for our amusement ride train, which is based on a VW. A couple years later they performed a full maintenance on it because it had been sitting for some 11 months and wasnt running well. These guys love working on VWs, plain and simple. Our engine runs so much better than when we first bought it and its all due to Wolfgang. I cant speak enough to their skill, openness and friendliness.
