Our representative Greg was awesome. He showed me how to use the new added equipment with ease and removed the previous tanks since we switched to the smaller carrying size tanks. He was very friendly and polite and called before showing up to make sure we were home. Family Medical Supply has been very helpful with exchanging moms wheelchair and the chair fitted to her needs. We had a few issues in regards to incorrect wheelchair ordered by rehab facility. Family Medical Supply has made this right by exchanging her chair and making sure the height is comfortable for her. I appreciate the help I received from the customer service team. Very good experience! They call when they arrive, and then they send a text message with the picture and information about the person picking up or delivering the supplies. The only reason they didn’t get 5 stars is because they were over an hour late (they said between 12-4pm and didn’t get to our home until after 5pm) and didn’t call to let us know they’d be late. Otherwise very happy with them!

HORRIBLE! INCOMPETENT! Family Medical Supply was an awesome place to do business with. They have been bought out by Adapt Healthcare. Bad Bad Move!!! I cant even begin the massive cluster bomb that I have had to go through, and still have no resolution! I have been without my CPAP supplies for months and months and months. They are trying to bill my insurance for a new CPAP machine which I dont even need! They have incorrectly coded their National Identifier Code incorrectly so BCBS is considered out of network- They Arent out of network. They have double billed me late last year and it took forever to get it straightened out. Im still without supplies and was on hold for over 1.5 hours! Trying to get them to straighten out their ID number. They said I had an outstanding balance and I havent been sent a bill! And my insurance denied coverage! Argh!!!!! I have never dealt with such incompetent people in all my life. I finally hung up the phone because today on the phone with BCBS and Adapt Health has been a complete waste of my time.Find another company to get your durable medical equipment from. This place has gone down the shooter. Pathetic!

Very good experience. Due to COVID, I had to go to the facility for training and to pick up my CPAP. Training started on time and was informative. All my questions were answered. There were three of us in the class. Our info packets and machines were ready when we arrived. I have no complaints.

My husband needed oxygen upon discharge from the hospital on June 1, 2020 and it was delivered before he arrived home and the deliverer explained to me how to use it. Thankfully my husband only used it for 3 weeks. Therefore, his doctor said he was no longer in need of it. I called on 4/8 and on 4/9 Michael arrived at 1:45 and being very professional and pleasant he removed the tanks from our home. We are grateful to your company for the service you provide.

ZERO stars is more accurate, but that wasnt an option here. Sad to say this business just wasted our time. Today my wife needed to be fitted for a boot so she can continue to work. She spoke with Jason on the phone and explained her situation. He indicated we could show up, call when we arrived and they would do a boot fitting curbside.So, I rearranged my work schedule for the day, which cost me. We drove 20 minutes, and phoned when we arrived. The woman who answered indicated that Jason was wrong: they didnt offer curbside boot fittings, or boots at that location. Hopefully he receives the memo so others dont have a similar experienced.On a positive note, many thanks to Eddie Davis at Atlantic Brace. They came through for us, even though we just showed up with no appointment. They could not have been kinder or more professional. 5 Stars for AtlanticBrace.com.

I showed up without an appointment since the listed phone number went to a general call center and I had to leave a voicemail. It was no problem that I arrived without an appointment. With COVID, they are only doing curbside assistance right now, but it was a great experience. Everyone I spoke to was so helpful, patient, knowledgeable and professional! So happy to have a physical location to go to for help with different CPAP mask options.

Very polite in person the day I received my equipment, but extremely poor (non-existent) follow-up.I received my equipment with the promise that they would ship me the items they did not have in stock. 7 days later I had not heard back from them, nor received the items, so I called. The CSR who answered said it takes 7-10 days and to follow up the following week. When I followed up the following week, I kept getting told I would receive a call back - which never happened. I called an additional 3 times - still no items, still no call back from anyone. Very disappointed.Also, I received an email from Family Medical Supply to set up an online account; I told three different people that it would not let me register; the first two didnt believe me, and it took me insisting there was an issue for the third person to call someone else and determine that I was, in fact, correct and that there was a system-wide issue.

Employees did not understand that CPAP accessories can be purchased without a prescription. Very rude and non helpful. Contacted my regular company that I purchase from and they made it clear that they were wrong. Do not go here if you want assistance. Additionally they do curbside but the number doesnt even go to the location it goes to their main corporate office. Horrible experience.

Do not try to buy cpap supplies here. They will not sell me just the strap that goes on my mask...a piece of fabric that holds the mask i have to my face...without a prescription.i have a doctor and sleep study at the v.a. in durham but i have to have a prescriprion to buy a replacement piece of cloth. Lady tried to tell me i couldnt order without a rx even on amazon. SHE is wrong!! But just hoping i can hold out another two days without it. They have it in this store and wont help. They should remove the fish symbol from their logo while they are at it. Only billing insurance is NOT what Jesus would do!! Dont pretend to be something you are not

At the store I encountered a rude employee, she insulted me and resentfully helped me even though she said she did want to help me. Another unscheduled visit to Family Medical Supply and another Job Well Done for the staff. Im in the process of securing a different mask and I had questions. Both young ladies at the front desk were ready and waiting to help this senior citizen. I dealt with Michela but I want to make sure her co-worker also gets a top rating, I neglected to get her name and I should have. My questions were about a new full face mask. Michela walked me through the latest models of new masks. Michela, went to the back and came out with four models and answered all my many questions about which one would be best for me. I’m still getting statements in the mail for random things that I shouldn’t be getting since October 2020 after my mom passed away. It is May 2021 and I have called this company numerous times trying to resolve this and I end up having to call again, and again, and again, to follow up about the incorrect statements and bills that continue to be mailed.This has been the most frustrating experience since October 2020. I received supplies and education about my new use of the CPAP. This entire team was very organized and professional from the 1st phone call until I walked out the door with my equipment. The young lady giving the class as well as the individual going over benefits really stood out. They were informative and very helpful. The ongoing support is very good. I have used other facilities in the past and this team was by far the best. They set a great example for their fellow staff members as well as other facilities. They are open to questions in the classroom as well as one on one. I had a great experience and would recommend them without hesitation. Great Job.

The team there did and excellent job orienting me to the CPAP which was totally foreign to me. They answered all questions, have been responsive on the phone, interfaced with the insurance company, and generally made it as easy as it could be. I had to switch to a different mask type than the one I originally purchased and it was hassle free and complementary during the first 30 days. Im very satisfied so far and would recommend them.

BEWARE - the copay information provided by Family Medical Supply does not take into account whether your insurance deductible has been met. I just got a statement for a copay that is over $50 more than the copay amount provided by FMS and when I called to inquire, I basically got a shrug and was told they dont look into deductible information. Why was I not told about this when I was given the estimated copay? They could have at least told me that they dont account for deductible information, so I could have looked it up for myself. It was so misleading. They should be embarrassed about this lack of basic customer education.

Cristen Sigillo epitomizes great, professional customer service. Ive been trying help my father-in-law with his CPAP compliance issues. He lives in Raleigh, and I live in Asheville. Cristen has always been extremely positive and patient every time Ive spoken on the phone with her and has always promptly returned my emails. Set up instructions & mask fitting has resulted in great scores with the app. I have scored 95 & 98 for the 2 nights I’ve had the machine. I was asked at the training if I was excited about getting the Cpap. Im a pediatrician in North Raleigh and needed a bili-blanket for a 4 day old baby who developed hyperbilirubinemia over the last 1-2 days and needed home phototherapy on Saturday afternoon. Our own biliblanket kit was not complete so I called Family Medical Supply for help (remember, a Saturday afternoon when no one else was available until Monday morning). I got a return phone call within minutes from their on-call David Lassiter who drove over from Duke Raleigh Hospital to their warehouse on Gresham Lake to bring a biliblanket case with extra pad cover sto my office where I and the baby and his parents were waiting. Within one hour, he was there and set up a face time conference call with his supervisor to go over the details of how to set-up and operate the biliblanket to the parents satisfaction. All I had to do was order the biliblanket on a handwritten prescription pad and dad signed the contract and we were done. What could have been a needed yet expensive hospital visit became a convenience hand-delivered customer-friendly service on a Saturday afternoon - Everyone was very pleased for their customer service. Keep up the good work!!

From 5 to 2 stars: Slight update a month into this. So there have been a few instances where Ive needed the doctor to update some details with Family Medical. Doctor says they sent it, family medical says no.. back and forth a few times, finally, family medical seems to find it. There was a mask change order a few weeks back, now a pressure change order. This really shouldnt be this hard.--below is the old review--If I have to use a CPAP, its gotta be through Family Medical. Their program is excellent from training to selecting the right mask, to training the intricacies of insurance and whatnot. I think they treat us very professionally and methodically to help us through this new and confusing process. Their follow-on email systems from monitoring are also useful to determine steps to improve the experience.

Horrible service. I was on vacation and found I was missing a part for my CPAP. I contacted them Thursday morning to get the part and was informed that I needed to have my provider fax them a copy of my prescription. It took two times faxing the prescription before they actually received it, and only because I kept calling di they even see it on the fax machine. I was told they could not fill the order because my prescription was not signed. So they said they would call their corporate office to find out what other information was needed to complete the order. I never heard from them again, so I contacted my doctor and asked them to send a prescription. The new prescription had exactly what piece of equipment was needed. When Family Medical Supply received the prescription (signed) from my doctor, they called my doctor back and said they could not fill the order because I was not in their service area. Even though I had been in contact with them and they knew that I was on vacation and was only 10 minutes from their location, they assumed that I was at home and was looking to use them as my new provider of CPAP equipment. As you can probably guess, this whole process took all day Thursday and Friday to get to this point, so time had run out and I could not reach them late Friday to explain the situation to them again. Since I was leaving Raleigh on Sunday, I ended up having to use my CPAP the entire trip without the humidifier and tape to hold the bad hose onto the machine. If you live in the Raleigh area and need durable medical equipment, do NOT use Family Medical Supply.
