Raleigh has a few coin shops and loads of jewelry stores but no one holds a candle to Capital Coin and Jewelry. Andy and his staff are extremely knowledgeable, honest, and straightforward. Most coin shops in the area feel like some some guys mothballed basement, but Capital Coin and Jewelry is setup in a gallery format to showcase this sought after inventory of exquisite pieces.

My friends here at Capital Jewelry & Coin are SIMPLY AMAZING!! I had numerous wedding rings that just tossed and turned all day long while on my finger. I took them into the store to see what I could do to fix this problem. My only thoughtful solution was to just downsize them so that they would fit a little more snug. The Staff suggested that I have them soldered together underneath the bottom.... Though Hesitant and Skeptical I still decided to trusted their expertise and I am so thankful I did!!! Andy is very friendly and helpful. Ive sold gold and silver to him and he pays top dollar. Andy is incredibly nice and knowledgeable. I browsed for about a half hour and he answered all my questions. A little light on selection (he was still getting fully set up), but other than that, phenomenal. Great prices and willing to work with customers to provide them with what they seek. Went down to Capital Coin and Jewelry to sell some silver, browse their inventory, and purchase a small amount of Gold. Andy helped me out and was super friendly, honest, and helpful. I also had a rare variety coin he took a look at for me and confirmed some thoughts I had on it. Ive collected for over 10 years, living in Raleigh the whole time, and still hadnt found my own shop.It was very natural talking with Andy and he was very fair. Ive been back since to pick up a couple small jewelry pieces and to make another exchange with Andy.If youre looking to sell or buy, or looking for something specific I would highly recommend this shop. I love love the vintage jewelry from the 1920’s-60’s and the traditional Native American jewelry that Andy Christensen carries.
