Delicious cookies, melted ice cream and an hour wait before they called to let me know that what I ordered wasn’t available. Then another 20 mins for delivery. I could have driven to get them myself.

The customer service is terrible here. The brownie tasted like cardboard and the ice cream was poor quality. I asked if I could get cookies instead and the girl said no. She didn’t try to fix the issue and this was my first time there. Customer service is important don’t just take my money. I won’t be back!!

One of the reasons why I order from here is because I get some bad news, and they have the perfect message to make it better while trying three different kinds of cookies.I will most likely order from them in the future for the next round of bad news.

So this was my very first time at this terrible joint. I heard great things and was told it would be amazing but this. I ordered a Delux cookiewich but got this. The poor girl was obviously lost in the sauce and couldve used some help. The two girls behind her had zero interest in helping with the customers waiting. We went to this location last night. We stood in line for 30 minutes to get to the front to order our cookies and to be told that they only take cards. There were No signs posted any where in or outside the stores stating cards only. One Africa American worker told me that he would pay for my cookies for 10$. He told me to give him my 20 dollar bill and he would pay my 10.83 order. For the fee of my change. This may have just been my FIRST AND LAST visit at this location. DONT GO IF YOU GOT CASH.

Very upset. Yesterday was my birthday and I decided for my birthday I wanted to get a cookie cake from insomnia along with cookies and ice cream…. I ordered my cake around 11 in the morning to be scheduled to be picked up at 9pm. I wanted to be able to go out to eat first then pick up my warm cookie cake after dinner… we’ll when I went to pick up my cake the supervisor told me that day shift never told night shift about the order so that my cake was never made. I was so upset….. not only was I not getting a cookie cake but I also had promised my kids that if they ate all there dinner that they could have a slice of cookie cake.The supervisor made me feel like he was being sincere in his apology and said that he could refund me the cake or reschedule the cake for another day.I really wanted to give Insomnia cookie another try so I told him that I could come back the next day and get the cake. We both agreed and so he placed the order.The next day I called up there to make sure they had done the cake at 9 pm. The lady told me that the order was never placed…… SMH INSOMNIA COOKIES FORGOT MY COOKIE CAKE ORDER TWICE. WHAT A WAY TO RUIN A BIRTHDAY!!!!!!! IM LITERALLY UPSET AND I WILL NEVER TRUST THEM TO DO A BIRTHDAY CAKE AGAIN!!!!!!

Nom nom nom nom! This place will turn anyone into the Cookie Monster! Ive frequented Insomnia Cookies several times as my addiction has grown over the years. The cookies are warm, gooey, flavor rich, and soft. My favorite is the Chocolate Mint, but today I was able to grab their new holiday cookies. The Candy Cane was minty goodness with white chocolate, and the Spicy Hot Cocoa was fantastic with a spice filled double chocolate cookie topped with a melted marshmallow. Sheer brilliance...just have some milk to make it epic!I will say their curbside pick-up didnt quite work as expected as no one picked up when I called, so I ended up having to go inside. However, the student staff was friendly. Parking is a challenge with street parking only, but dont let that deter you. They also have ice cream and they can sandwich it between cookies! I havent tried that yet, but I will indulge soon. Now, go Nom Nom Nom Nom!

Insomnia has delicious treats and ice cream. Theres a great selection and kind staff. They deliver until 3am and all the cookie are warm and yummy.

Years ago, insomnia was so delicious. The cookies were always warm and moist and delivery was quick. However, for the past couple years, every time I order delivery it takes 2 hours (by centennial). When we call to check, either no one answers the phone for so long it is sent to a corporate call center, or if it’s someone from the local store they seem very uninterested in helping. The cookies are always over cooked, crunchy, and dry. Too bad there’s also no remorse in their customer service to make anything better.I don’t know what’s happened to this place but I hope it gets better soon.

The cookies were really tasty. They have classic flavors like chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin as well as more unique flavors like orange creamsicle, rocky road and smores. They have gluten free and vegan options as well as traditional. They also have ice cream sandwiches and frosting sandwiches. As the name implies they are open super late and deliver late as well.

Just went there with my daughter For Fathers Day. After waiting in line behind another father daughter combo I noticed that they are giving away a buy one cookie get 1 cookie free for Fathers Day deal. The cookies were OK. Customer Service is horrible. We went in to order. The parking was free since it was the weekend but could be a bit of a headache on a weekday I can image! We waited outside for about 20 mins. Waited inside for about 5 mins before anyone even acknowledged that we were even there. That was a turn off. Not to mention, this was our very first time there. And it was Hotttt in there! Whew Chile I almost left b/c of that heat!!! I’m giving the 2 stars because when we received our cookies they were warm. I didn’t get some of the cookies I asked for.. no double chocolate chip. They cookies were too “chocolatety” for my taste and as soon as we got home (20mins later) they were hard as a brick! so we had to put them in the microwave before we ate each cookie. My husband liked them but honestly I liked the frozen Nestle better. Its better to just make your own cookies at home and save your money. Nothing special other than large chunks of chocolate in your cookies, and if you like that, this could be a spot for you.

They are alright but not worth standing in line for 40 min if they had more locations or faster service it be better.

I was debating between a two and one star review. I decided to go with a two, but its really more a 1.5.Insomnia Cookies was an interesting experience. The location has a lot of nice policies in place to protect and reduce the risk of Covid-19 spread.They have a three (3) person capacity, mask requirement, and card only payment with no contact.My problem sadly was the service. This is the first time I went to this place, and I learned there are three different six packs of cookies:A Deluxe 6 (two or more the deluxe cookies)A Super 6 (one deluxe cookie and five traditional)A Traditional 6 (six traditional cookies)I ordered a Super 6 and I paid as he packed up the box. I left and when getting home I opened my box to find it only contained five cookies. Out of the five only four were actually what I ordered. If this was a test its a solid 66.6%, 4/6 correct answers.The cookies were delicious, but lets be far I could understand the wrong cookie. I cant understand not counting to six. Its the number after the amount of cookies I got in my box...

The cookies are great, but the overall management continues to struggle. This was the second time ordering here within a year and they still struggle with the same issues: curbside pickup, order accuracy, the ability to call the store and online order interface are the reasons I dont frequent this business more often.

Wow! Just had a horrible experience at this location. Drove all the way in From Apex to find out my order was cancelled. Which is confusing because I was getting curbside pickup instructions the night before. Asked for a manager and she was the “acting supervisor “ while the manager was out in paternity leave. As if My order being cancelled wasn’t bad enough, the attitude on this girl was unbelievable. Made me feel like I did something wrong. Unreal, your cookies are great but not good enough to treat people like $hit. Get over yourselves.

The cookies are not as good as they use to be, but the prices remain the same 🤔. There are far tomorrow other options in Raleigh to settle for these bland cookies. Sunday was my first time here in a while and it definitely will be my last time here. Only gave two starts because they did have a nice covid policy and the cookies I went for (however bland) were available.

But these were delicious, so I forgive them. The are open super late and deliver to certain locations. Definitely worth the cheat!

We placed an online order which didn’t arrive for over a week. When I contacted the store their best form of customer service was to mock me and call me “Karen” and tell me that was my problem not theirs. On another occasion I visited the store when in the Raleigh area to buy my own cookies to feel as if I was bothering the store associate. I was the only person there. She was rude and nasty. I’ll never go back or order again. I’d rather bake my own cookies then be treated like this.

Lines are long at times because students crave goodness at the same time. But the staff work together to get you home with enough sugar to sweeten any deal.

Love these cookies so much. Theyre ridiculously buttery, kept warm and fresh, and the triple chocolate chunk deluxe cookies are divine. Even had them make my birthday cake. Staff is always kind and helpful, but the store space is small so you might get a little cramped in if theyre busy. They offer delivery, just not to where I live.

I think the cookies are actually pretty good. However, I’ve been waiting for over an hour for 6 cookies to be delivered. When I called them I was redirected to a National line. She said that stores phones were down and could not offer an eta on my cookies. All I was given was some coupons to encourage me to spend more money at this store. Idk, but I feel like over an hour wait and possibly longer (still haven’t gotten them yet) and I should get the cookies for free or a heavy discount. Now I’m actually staying awake for my cookies. Management just hasnt set this team up to be able to handle deliveries.Just like people have been saying for over 6 months, delivery times are over 2 hours. 5 minutes after placing the order, it was out for delivery.As you can expect, after two hours it was cold and hard. I didnt even want the cookies by the time they got hereI had to call the store 3 times about the order. The second time I was on hold for 20 minutes and was hung up on because the store had phone issues.3rd call I asked to cancel the order so I could go to bed and shortly after the driver called me asking to meet them in the parking lot. Guess neither of the two drivers wanted to look for the door when the website said theyd drop the order at the door.Welp. After two hours the cookies got here although I asked the store to cancel. Had to call the store a fourth time because I didnt want to basically steal the cookies. Awkward.

Placed an order for delivery, took an hour to get here so of course the cookies weren’t warm. But I popped them in the oven for just a few seconds and they were amazing last batch I received were dry and burnt so this was great EXCEPT there was a long black hair baked into one if my cookies. That disgusted me completely. Great cookies but they are really inconsistent and definitely a place you shouldn’t get delivery from much better in person so you can see exactly what today’s order looks like. I noticed that they hire a lot of younger teens and college students so the inconsistency makes since. If there menu only consists of cookies and ice cream then they should at least get right.

I placed my order to the side, my SO was waiting for her order( 3 person limit, so were at 2, excluding an applicant). A White couple enters the building, bringing the count to 4. White employee with black hair FROM THE BACK, without hesitation tells ME to leave. The couple steps out and the employee weakly defends their snap assumption by claiming the wall is the end of the line ( prior to us a group of THREE OR FOUR were waiting on the wall where I was, so excuse me for following the arrows signs and lines designating where to STAND.)Assumptions required1) I came in after the white couple, barged past them and stood to the side while they are still by the door2) assumed I was alone3) assumed that I (the only black customer)didnt belong.All of this could have been avoided by ASKING QUESTIONS

I’ve heard their cookies are amazing so I tried to give them a shot since I was meeting my husband at his office downtown. After 2 hours the app showed the cookies as still baking and the poor girl answering phones couldn’t really give any update other than they would be there eventually. Might try again but do not recommend delivery at all.

I have ordered here multiple times in the past, and it has always been great. Cookies were usually delivered around 30 minutes after ordering. They were fresh out of the oven and still fairly warm when they arrived. Things have turned around recently. Last week I placed an order at around 8:30 PM and did not receive them until about 2 and a half hours later. That seems to be standard right now reading some of the more recent reviews. I ordered cookies last night at 8:00 PM. I did not receive my delivery until 1:30 AM. I called at 11PM and was stuck on hold for about 20 minutes. Someone from their corporate offices initially picked up. I told him what was going on, and he put me on hold again so that he could call the store and find out what the problem was. I was on hold again for another 5 minutes, and he said that they were out of the vanilla ice cream that I ordered and wanted to know what I wanted as a replacement (not sure why they hadnt contacted me about this). I gave him my replacement, and he said he would make sure my order was the next order sent out. Another hour passed, and at 12 AM I called them again. This time someone from the store picked up. I explained the situation, and she said they were waiting on their delivery driver to get back, and my order would be sent out once they returned. I asked if I could get some kind of discount since I had been waiting for 4 hours at this point. She said she didnt have the ability to do that and I would have to contact customer service. I waited another hour, still no delivery. I called for the third time at 1 AM. Someone from the store picked up and I explained the situation again. They said their delivery driver had just left with my order. She apologized for the delay and told me that my ticket had gotten misplaced (seems odd being that I called twice before and I was given updates). She gave me a full refund for my purchase since I had been waiting for 5 hours. Another 30 minutes passed and my order was finally delivered at 1:30 AM... And it wasnt even correct. Two cookies were swapped out for the wrong kind of cookie and I received one large deluxe cookie that I didnt order. My suspicion is that they were short on the cookies I wanted and just threw whatever other kinds they had in there just to get my order out. The cookies were cold by this point, and some tasted burnt. I dont know whats happened recently. Maybe reduced staffing due to COVID and NCSU classes starting back? That still doesnt justify waiting 5 and a half hours for cold cookies. If its this big of an issue, they should stop accepting online orders after a certain number of orders have been placed.

Havent been here for some time now especially living in the Clayton/Garner area (this place is a real treat). You can definitely see a change in the service/representation of the company. Although the cookies were great my order was wrong and thats partially my fault. I should have checked my box and the cashier couldve said my order back to me (verified my order), the cashier didnt greet me as I entered, nor did the young man Caleb state that a line had started due to their 3 customer maximum. Instead I was greeted by 2 young ladies that seemed to be irritated that I came inside as 2 customers were leaving a woman with a stroller and child, the 2 ladies were actually outside just sitting and talking. I assume waiting their turn, althoughit looked like regularhangingout/chilling. If the stroller counts as a 3rd adult person my apologies i know some places make exceptions when it comes to infants/children, but as a paying customer it would have been nice to be informed of a line without confrontation or attitude from other customers. Just a comment. Just a review.

Exactly as the name suggests this is a perfect late night spot for your cookie craving needs. The prices are reasonable, the cookies are fresh, and they’re just right for that late night craving.

Normally they are on time and the cookies are warm but today not so. Called the store to inquire about the order. Was told no oatmeal raisin cookies. No biggie, they were going to replace them and send it out with the driver who I was told was sitting there waiting on the order. The store is only a few miles away. Had to call again, 15 minutes later, and then was told that they waited for another order to get filled and the driver probably went to that order first. The order was supposed to be delivered at 0130 but was closer to 0230. The cookies were cold. If they only had 2 orders, how in the world did I get cold cookies. Spent over 90 bucks 😡😡😡😡

I had an order for 1:45 PM for my boyfriends birthday but instead they delivered it at 1:45 AM. It turned out completely fine because I was up and decided to wait to see if they would arrive after I got the delivery confirmation message at 12:30 AM. I thought I had made a mistake but on the receipt it even said 1:45 PM. It turned out completely fine but if I was asleep I would’ve missed my cookies! :(

On this call, I got either Stephanie or an Amanda? I can’t remember exactly; I do remember they were quite snarky and rude. However they told me the order was set out for delivery at 9:23pm (cool! I get they must be busy, I’ve worked in customer service and know the pains)It wasn’t until 10:31 with no delivery I decided to tried calling again. So now... 2 hours about after the order being placed. She then told me it was set out for delivery at 9:23pmIt didn’t arrive until 10:46, the cookies were cold which was alright, I mean I would expect that after 15 minutes, but the ice cream was completely watered down. I normally don’t mind things like this but for 23$ I felt the need to warn people. Try pick up in store if possible.

Hidden coconut in the white chocolate macadamia cookie. Nowhere on the description did it say coconut pieces galore. Very disappointed in this cookie but the rest were semi palatable.

The cookies themselves are really good, but honestly not worth the price. The location to the NCSU campus is great, but if you get delivery it is awful and never on time. They do have lots of options, but the specialty cookies are more expensive.

Soooooo tonight was my second time ordering.. This first time it took and hour and my cookies werent even fresh!!! Tonight was the second time I wanted to try and get the GREAT experience everyone else was talking about... Well it took them 2 hours and cookies still not hot.. The driver says they couldnt find d the right apartment.. I stay less than 2 miles from the place Downtown Raleigh NC. I will never order again..

I should have checked the dozen recent bad reviews before I ordered. Managers.... get it together if you want to stay in business. On insomnias website it says cookies are typically delivered within 20-35 min. My order (9:45 on a Wednesday night- not exactly weekend primetime) wasn’t even confirmed until 30 min. I called an hour in and he said it would be another 20-30 min. It ended up being 2 hours and 30 min! I had to stay up until after midnight just to wait for them to arrive and just put them in the fridge. What a waste of money. Never again.
