I hate to leave small businesses a bad review, but you should be prepared for some things I wasnt when working with them. I brought a laptop that was having trouble charging to the shop. The guy who took it said, no problem, Ill have an answer for you tomorrow, Ill text you. A week went by, so I called, and was told he no longer was there, he was out of the country, but the guy who answered would look into it. So I gave it two weeks. Still no answer. I called again, and it was starting all over again, Ill look into it and get back in touch with you today, etc. We do this for two months.Finally we get an answer, its not the DC port, its a cheap capacitor $1.30. This is something I didnt have the time or patience to diagnose, so Im thrilled. He says this happens with non brand chargers, would you like to get one? Good price for it, all set.But then the kicker. $160 to diagnose and replace a $1.30 capacitor labeled as 1hr of work. Hey, Im a simple man. $160 an hour to not do something death defying is great money. I can kill people if I make mistakes at my job and dont get $160 an hour.So I was surprised. And disappointed. I asked why that was the case and I got no response. So if you really need your gear fixed, this place will do it well. But, you have to be prepared for it to take an absurd amount of time and pay big money. If I had been given the option I would have pulled the hard drive and got a new laptop instead of a $200+ fix.

I came to undead electronics after my friend told me about a successful data recovery they did for her. I took my hard drive to Geeksquad and they recommended me to take it to Undead Electronics. The process took 4 days and Adam was able to get 100% of my very important data and old memories. Would definitely recommend. 10/10

Adam absolutely saved my Surface Pro X! I am a student who uses my computer for everything, and when it broke I thought my GPA was doomed. But he fixed it easily and quickly, and was extremely professional and kind. He explained everything thoroughly which was very beneficial as I don’t really know anything about computers! I took my laptop to the computer lab at state and they recommended me visiting Undead Electronics because it was not a simple repair. The guys at Undead were able to fix my Alien Ware laptop in 2 days and the charges were very reasonable price. I can’t recommend them enough.

I saw another post similar to mine. I want to support local businesses too, but this place just isnt it. DO NOT GO HERE with your problems.I dropped off my Computer for a simple diagnostic to see what was wrong with my computer. He said it would take a few days to get back to me, this seemed reasonable because it is easy to diagnose a computer with the right equipment. A week went by and no updates, no call or email or anything, so I decided I needed to call. He answered with oh just a few more days so I believed him and went about my life. Two weeks later, no updates when he said a few days, so I call in, once again some bad excuses and a few more days. I dont know what came over me to not immediately take my computer back, but I said okay a few more days. Another week went by, and once again I called in, another excuse and I told him one more week and I was picking it up.A WHOLE MONTH later, I call to say Im picking up my computer and he tries to tell me a few more days once again.. I say no, get it put together by the time I come by. I arrive and he didnt put my computer together. He tries to talk me into leaving it, but I tell him no, put it together right now Im taking it.My computer was simply catching dust for a month, when I got it back it was dirty(when I dropped it off it was just cleaned) full of dust and webs. I regret not taking it back early.Once again I reiterate, if you want to fix your computer, DO NOT COME HERE!!!

Great customer service and solid work. He helped fix a fan issue with a Thinkpad T450 and mentioned that I have a flat screen tv that needed a power cable. Adam was so nice that he threw in the power cable for a TV I had purchased for free!! If you have any electronics that are acting up, give undead electronics a call and I’m confident Adam will be able to get the job done. Will be back for sure!

Went in to get my SSD looked at since I was having issues with it. Great service, I was texted and got the inspection done within a few hours of dropping it off. I was given advice on what to do next and what may have caused my issue, and picked up my computer with no problems. Fantastic independent computer repair shop for motherboard problems. I had a broken laptop with two bad capacitors due to static electricity during a self-repair. Technician Adam was able to locate the bad capacitors and change them out, fully restoring the laptop at a total cost of around $240 for three hours labor. He saved me a motherboard replacement. Great work.

Adam is a miracle worker!! Fixed a microsoft surface pro X that was stuck with a simple fix that no one else reccomended. Will definitely be coming here for all future technology issues!

Adam is incredible. The hard drive in my laptop crapped out so I went to his shop after he fixed my boyfriends laptop the previous week. He quickly diagnosed the problem and gave me a list of solutions. I ended up having him transfer all of my data to a Think Pad he had around and I am so glad I did. It is everything he said it would be and then some. Im a neat freak but dont be put off by the look of the shop, a disheveled workspace is a sign of genius. :)

Feel bad it took this long to remember to write this but Adam was so awesome and helpful. We had and issue and needed to get all our computers deep cleaned. Ultimately Adam couldn’t do it, but he was able to transfer the info from one of the comps over to a new one and gave us a great deal on replacing the others. He was one of the few bright spots during a pretty awful time. I really appreciate all the help Adam!

Today I went into Undead Electronics because my laptop wasnt charging and another store wanted to charge me $64 just for a check-in. I had heard that Undead Electronics was a great place and had the opportunity to find out myself. The owner figured out the problem with my laptop and didnt even charge me since it was a minor issue. He was extremely kind and funny. The store itself is very small and messy on the inside, but the people were so responsive and kind. The place doesnt look like an Apple Store but who cares when you get the best support. I guarantee that these people will help you out with whatever tech problem you have. Even if they dont solve the issue, they will give it their best shot and do honest work. We need to support small businesses like Undead Electronics who do great, honest work! Needless to say, I am a satisfied customer!!

Dont bother going anywhere else for liquid damaged laptops! A family member spilled coffee on my MacBook pro at the start of the pandemic and I let it sit for a year and corrode out of grief and executive disfunction. I finally decided to try and get it repaired and found Undead Electronics by chance. I thought the repair was probably a lost cause and inquired about the potential for data recovery, but Adam fixed the laptop and had it back to me in three days, good as new with data intact! Unbelievable, and at a lower cost than some other places were trying to charge me simply to retrieve the data off the SSD. Highly recommended!

Adam (the owner), is great. Goes above and beyond for his customers. My computer is my livelihood. I have dealt with Undead electronics for the past 5 years or so and wont take my electronics anywhere else. On my latest visit I brought my computer in because it was overheating, my internal hard drive crashed, and a couple other things. I was getting my heat sync replaced and a new hard drive put in. Well in the course of fixing it Adam realized I had a bigger issue with the comp and it wasnt going to last. Now please understand, I am not saying he will do the following for you because it is completely unnecessary for him to do and I have been a loyal customer for many years and Adam believes loyalty begets loyalty. Adam took the same model MacBook he had in the store and moved my RAM and hard drives to this other computer and only charged me for what I was originally quoted for the work. Where else can you find that kind of service and customer loyalty? Thank you Adam!

I tried to change the thermal paste of my Xiaomi laptop. The CPU fan completely died. The fan was alright so there must be something wrong with the motherboard. Initially, I worried so much since the laptop was bought overseas and Xiaomi does not have any repair service in the United States. Adam helped me out! He found and fixed the broken capacitor with his skills and knowledge. I like him for his patience and honesty!

The pc I built was having boot issues. They fixed my pc surprisingly fast, for a reasonable price. They called me one day after dropping it off and it works fine now.

I first came in here 5 years ago after Best Buy’s “repair specialist “ couldn’t tell me what was wrong with my old gaming laptop and wanted to send it off for a week or more for $100+ diagnostics... uhm no.Undead told me I had heat fried it in about 30 min for $40.Now I have bought 2 used laptops here from the owner. One of those I’ve had for 5 years now, no problems. The other is my daughters and it is also working well.The store is cluttered with various things but don’t let that put you off. The owner is super nice and has a good sense of humor. I don’t think you’ll find a better deal on either repairs or used laptops anywhere in the triangle.The peace of mind that comes with buying directly from a very knowledgeable business owner is also a huge plus. I know if either cpu had any issues I could bring it right in.

Undead Electronics is amazing! I have a 2012 Macbook pro and the entire hard drive crashed on a Wednesday. I figured everything was lost and I would have to buy another laptop. My fiance found Undead and I am so glad he did. They were able to pull all of my data from my hard drive, even my Vows which I had started days before the crash. :) They even installed my new hard drive, Ram( which we bought separately) and add back the most up to date MAC software. By the next Tuesday my computer was re built and running like new, Thanks to Undead I dont have to spend $1000+ on a new laptop.

I went there to see if my solidstate drive can be revived. Unfortunately the answer was negative but Douglas recommended a place that could do it and did not charge me anything for doing the diagnostic. So I definitely recommend this place for every day stuff repairs. Mine was just too complex.

These guys did a great job. Needed a screen replacement in a Dell Inspiron. Basically took it in around 5pm and it was done by 7pm. The price was right as well. Definitely would recommend them. If you read this, this is not one of those outrageous reviews. My experience was legit and being in the IT field I can verify these guys are solid.

My laptop started to fail and Adam offered to help me right away, and take a look for free to determine if it was an easy fix. After he determined that my hardware had failed (while letting me watch) he offered to help relocate my data into a new computer at a very low price. He spent time setting my new computer up and it has been performing very well. It was an astoundingly pleasant experience to go to undead electronics and I will be returning with any future issues, and recommending it to all my friends.

Im so happy that I found them! I damaged my laptop screen a little while ago and almost gave in and bought a new laptop until I came across Undead Electronics. This place is awesom in all aspects. A big bucks store sent me there because i could not wait 3 weeks on them to fix my computers and Undead Electronics got my repair done the very next day. I would give them more stars if i could. My mac is running better than ever.

But after seeing the options I had available, I chose to upgrade to a better system, processor, and hard drive, and these guys transferred all my data with a 2 hour turn around time.Ignore the untidy entrance and give Undead Electronics a shot.

I work on computers a bit and usually fix things myself. I was working on my brothers computer and was having issues. I got stuck on it and decided that taking here to get it fixed would save me some time. I gave it to them and never received an estimate of any prices at all. (Yes, I never asked directly for a quote and thats on me, but not informing a customer ahead of time is rather bad customer service). They told me what the issue was and I told them I had a part at home I could use to replace the broken part with. I came in with the part and they told me to come back 2 hours later. I came back 2 hours later and got my computer. However I was charged 170 DOLLARS. Keep in mind that this is just hourly charge as I had my own parts to fix it with. He claimed that it took slightly over 3 hours of work but he was going to charge me for 2 hours. (A nice gesture, sure, but Ive worked with computers and a lot of it is clicking a few buttons and then coming back 20-30 mins to click a few more buttons etc etc.) Once I was told the issue I knew that it couldnt have taken more than 45 minutes of actual physical work. If I knew what the issue was (and thats on me for not taking the time to figure it out) I could have fixed it myself in an hour.I got the computer back and the cable management was alright and there was what sounded like a screw sliding around as I moved the case. Also the network adapter drivers were not updated which was a bit annoying as I now have to spend some time to do that myselftldr;The computer was fixed and in a timely manner however EXPENSIVE. They charge $80 an hour. The computer was fixed and everything works correctly.Edit: Realizing that after typing this I was bit too critical of them. While their prices are expensive, they are usually cheaper than bigger stores such as best buy or apple. I have come before about a year ago asking to get something soldered as I didnt have the equipment I needed. He soldered where I requested in about 3 minutes and didnt charge me.

If you are like me, your computer is your lifeline. I write and illustrate, and without it I am dead in the water professionally. So when my computer started to overheat, I dreaded taking it in. My experiences with repair shops have not been good. One shop download a virus while replacing my graphics card, and another installed inferior parts that wouldnt even run my software programs.Adam at Undead Electronics turned out to be a refreshingly straightforward, knowledgeable and exceptionally competent change for the better. He came highly recommended by the folks in Best Buys Geek Squad, but even that didnt prepare me for his willingness to go above and beyond the call of duty to help me. He answered every question I had, explored a variety of options and prices, and stayed late to get my repairs done so I wouldnt lose a day of work and could meet my deadline. To top it all off, hes funny!Grateful doesnt begin to express how I feel knowing there is someone who really knows what hes doing and takes pride getting the work done right. When my son broke the laptop screen on our two month old laptop the manufacturer and other repair facilities wanted more than we paid for the laptop to fix it and told us it would take several days to weeks. Adam at Undead Electronics fixed it in two days and for half the cost the other places were quoting. Plus he does NOT charge non-refundable a fee to just look at it. On top of everything he was nice, personable and honest. I will go here from now on to repair any computer issues I may have. The store maybe a bit cluttered but the service and price are top-notch.

Awesome experience. My Lenovo Yoga was making a lot of whirring noise consistently. He kept it for a night to check for a bad fan axle, told me the next day that everything was fine and the problem was that the laptop cover was a bit bent from the inside, hence causing the noise.Didnt charge me anything!

I stopped by for some troubleshooting with a new video card that was not working and they helped me out right then and there. It was quick and simple. Good guys.

These guys brought my computer back from the dead... literally! I have a terrible time with dropping computers... and I dropped my computer for the second time snapping the power port off the motherboard, living in a new city, and not knowing who to turn to. These guys did a fantastic job with my laptop! I also had my HD wiped as I was having some big issues after upgrading to Windows 10... Ive got 7 Home Premium back on my computer thanks to these guys and my computer could not be running better. Michael was fantastic and was very patient with me and my computer problems. You cannot go wrong with this place! I am so, so, so thrilled to have my computer back up and running. This place was a lifesaver!

I brought my MacBook Pro in to this store a few years ago. I had no idea what was wrong with my computer and of course the apple store wanted an outrageous amount of money to even look at it. These guys quickly determined that I had a corrupted hard drive. They gave me a link to the hard drive that I needed to replace it. I shipped it to the store and they repaired it within about a week. Amazing customer service. And the price was waaaay lower than I expected. My wifes laptop also had some issues and she got it repaired here as well. I would recommend this shop to anyone. Dont let the looks of the place fool you. These guys know whats up.

We came here to drop off old electronics for recycling. We had an old iPhone that we thought had died long ago. Unfortunately for us, the phone contained pictures from the first few months after our daughter was born. The owner was able to boot up this phone just long enough for us to get these pictures - all at no charge. We are sooo grateful.

This is a great little shop. Its kind of messy and not really set up for browsing inside, so you have to have an idea of what youre looking for, but if you tell the guys what you need, theyll be able to easily find something for you. I got a great deal on a computer with a set amount of RAM, but when the guy went to put it together, he found there was more RAM in it than we had originally negotiated on. He just went ahead and gave me the computer with the extra memory for the same (already great) price. Genuinely nice people. Could talk about nerdy computer stuff with them all day.

I had dropped my lap top and damaged something inside, it stopped working, night before Thanks giving holiday , OMG, its my business right hand tool, i was so depressed that i will have very long week end without doing my work,, the only place i thought to try around 4 pm was Undead shop, Adam was very helpful and understood my delima,. he is very knowledgeable with what he is doing, transferred my Hard drive to a used lap top of his, and within 20 minutes i retrieved exactly all my data, and was on top of my work requirements. i thought this was temporary solution until i order new lap top, but i am so satisfied with their USED lap top, its even faster and more powerful than my damaged Toshiba,, i do not think i need to buy new one,, i paid fraction $$ cost and very satisfied, .Thanks to you guys, you saved me $$ and you put big smile on my face ,

I recommend these guys to ANYONE who has an electronic problem. They have saved my technologically unfortunate self at an extremely low price. They once charged me only $300 for a service that Best Buy was about to charge me $1500 for. I will always be loyal to this company and come to them whenever I have a technology crisis.

I have had nothing but positive experiences at Undead Electronics. I originally went there to see if they could repair a trackpad that had become detached from the motherboard. Adam had me checked in within minutes and opened up my laptop for a free consult. He informed me that another owner would be either able to fix the mouse, or there would be no charge. A day later, I get a call saying my laptop mouse is fixed, and its working great! Very reasonable charge when everyone else was telling me the repair couldnt be done at all. Carl is excellent as precision soldering!I also took another trip there within a week when my sisters hard drive crashed. Campus IT was again not able to help. They told her the files were not salvageable. I took the laptop to Undead Electronics, and Adam took time out from his meal to slowly move every file individually off her corrupted laptop to a flash drive. He was able to save all of her work from the semester within an hour of entering the store. These guys are lifesavers!

Adam is amazing! I had an old PC a friend built for me 7 years ago and thought was unsalvagable but low and behold! Not only is it working again but updated with modern bells and whistles at a steal of a price and a 1 day turn around. Hell, he even gave me a free mouse! Will definitely send business there way.

I spoke with Adam over the phone about switching computer cases. Told him the type of case I was getting he said no problem bring it in and we will take of it so I did. I recieved a call in a day or so saying it was ready so I picked it up the next day and it looked amazing. I will do business with Adam for all my computer needs from here on out.

I cant say enough great things about Adam! I bought a new computer and wanted to switch from Thunderbird to Outlook email service. I had many years of email folders which needed to be transferred. I gave them my TV to fix in april, even told them what was wrong with it and what part needed replacement. I STILL have not gotten it back. I have gone to pick it up as is, 3 times and no one will take my calls or is at the shop to let me in to get it. 3 months and counting.
