First visit today and would definitely go more often if we lived a bit closer. Food was very good with surprisingly large portion sizes. However, it was the coffee that really surprised me; its truly excellent, they really know what they are doing when it comes to coffee.

Great coffee shop run by people who know coffee. Dont live here anymore, but try to come here when I visit. I remember this place when it was New World Music Cafe around 2000. I remember the closed off room that was neat. Its more open now though. Same feel as years past even though I think the owners have changed once or twice. Thats usually a good sign for a business if new owners maintain what works since it means they know their customers and product.

The quality of food is great, fresh! I ordered a protein açaí bowl. This is one of the few times I try an açaí dish, and I admit I wasn’t entirely pleased with my selection. I came to realize I’m not very fond of the berry mixture, but doubt thus was as a result of staff preparation. Everything else in the bowl tasted as expected and minimized the açaí flavor! 😊 I do have a suggestion- maybe include protein grams on the menu? I ordered this bowl especially because I understand the importance of incorporating this macronutrient in my diet. Anyway, the mango smoothie was out-of-this-world delicious, made with frozen natural mango and pineapple! A must try! My boyfriend wasn’t pleased with his BLT. He expected more than bacon and veggies in his sandwich (usually, a BLT indicates turkey or another meat in addition to bacon, lettuce and tomato), and pretty much remained hungry after his meal- which we both agreed wasn’t worth the price. I thought my bowl was a tad pricey as well for the quantity.

Service was top notch and personable but the food and ambiance was underwhelming. For a cafe I would expect painted walls and some type of artwork whether it be Parisian, modern, or local (like you would find in Jubala or The Third Place) but I didnt notice any. I wasnt impressed by my food either. Though it may have been healthful it was not all that tasty. Both the sandwich and potato salad were dry to me. I also wasnt thrilled about my cappuccino. It looked cute but wasnt that tasty. Im all for trying new places so I dont regret going and the young lady who took my order was very pleasant.

What an incredible hole in the wall coffee shop. I always drive by it and finally went inside to see what it was all about. They have a multitude of coffee, tea and smoothie options, as well as food. They have quaint little seating indoors and the customer service was super nice. It was a great place to meet up with a friend and try something light, yet filling. I will definitely be stopping by again.

Stopped in for coffee and breakfast this morning. Haven’t been in awhile and it looks like they have expanded their menu. Sat in a cozy corner with an açaí bowl and a well crafted americano. It was definitely fresh food and tasted excellent. Thanks for a warm, cozy place on a cold rainy morning.

Great service, the workers were very fast and friendly. I enjoyed the ambiance and decor a lot, you can tell effort was put into it. As for the food: not usually a coffee drinker but I ordered a vanilla ice latte out of curiosity. It was quite tasty and smooth. Also ordered a black bean burger, and wow. Its the best sandwich Ive had in a long time.

I had a great first experience with New World today. The owner was behind the counter with his employees and everyone was friendly. My cappuccino was excellent.

Today was our first visit out to New World Cafe. What a great first impression! This place has it all! A day of more firsts I tried a Acai bowl for the first time. The item I had was called the super bowl. Packed with protein and a great balance of sweet and savory from nuts. I can tell already this is going to be a place I will visit so I can test run the menu! 5/5 for sure ! Oh man ! I wish you had a location in Holly Springs! Thank you world Cafe for todays memories ! Would not recommend.Cold brew: I love black coffee but this was damn near diesel fuel. I am very picky about my espresso/coffee drinks. They are so pure and real in their traditional drinks, that no additional flavors or additives are needed. I love the quality of a good latte here.

My girlfriend and I just finished climbing over at TRC and she happened to come across this place! We were eager to try the coffee and the food after checking the place out online! As we entered the place the cashier was complaining about the owner not being able to keep staff and how stupid he was to try and open another establishment. The guest in front if us was extremely irratated and left saying Tell everyone how you really feel . As we approached the counter, not ever being here, we were approached by a very smart alloc demeanor. My girlfriend was asking questions about the coffee and food because she has sensitivities. She was completely mocked by the two girls behind the counter. It pissed me off enough that I called them out on there crappy behavior and let them know how rude they were. With this being said and after all the complaining, they forgot to ring in my girlfriends order in which she ordered first. So after there messed up, the kitchen gal, (who was really nice), rerang up our food. I let her know how upset we were about everything. She apologized and still charged for their mess up. ( Which wasnt a big deal). I really expected a lot more from this place based on some of the reviews.Now on a positive note, the Counter Culture coffee is amazing and the food was superb. I had the Jubanto pour over coffee, which was delightful. I also ate the Turkey, avocado, swiss sandwich with the Asian slaw. It was so good! My girlfriend, fashionably late, got the BLT with the southwest pasta salad. It too, was soooooo good!We probably wont ever be back due to the crass nature of the staff. Its sad cause everything else was amazing.

This is my favorite coffee spot in the area. The coffee always has a great flavor, the food is really good, and the staff is always so nice. Plus they deliver. If you haven’t tried them before, definitely do. I was really struggling to find a coffee shop I really liked, and I’m so glad I found them.

My favorite coffee shop in Raleigh offers delicious food at reasonable rates, high quality coffee (counter culture) and a laid-back atmosphere. While some coffee shops border on haughty hipster hell, this one balances perfectly in the middle of approachable and cultured. They have plenty of outlets so its a perfect place to sit and work. As well as a devoted set of regulars and a fun, hard working staff. Definitely check it out!

Very extensive and interesting selection of food and coffee drinks. Comparable to Starbucks in price, but with a lot more love and options it feels like. Bit of a cramped space, but both times Ive visited (afternoon on a weekend), theres been plenty of room. Oatmeal is good, as are the breakfast sandwiches!

I was served a delicious maple-flavored latte by a charming young lady. The latte had a rich smoky flavor. The barista was delightful. She described the various menu items while making drinks. The menu itself has a good variety of drinks, food, and snacks. The atmosphere felt chill. Theres seating options for both studying and talking with friends. The location is tucked away in the middle of a strip of stores. It really is a hidden gem :)

Coffee isn’t bad. I’ve been here twice and both times the service was exceptional. Though the food is too expensive for its quality. I was expecting more for how much I had paid. Overall nice atmosphere but if you come here, just get the coffee.By the way. I don’t really care about this but some may. I saw employees eating and drinking behind the counter multiple times and not washing their hands after or anything. So there’s that to consider.

This locally owned coffee shop never disappoints. You ask, they know. The latte is hands down the best ever. Please skip Starbucks and give your dollars to this local business. They have many freshly-made breakfast options, as well as a number of pastries. Do your self a favor and order the sausage egg and cheese on croissant with their homemade chipotle mayo. FANTASTIC. Only issue would be the food takes a bit long to make, but it is because it is all made on demand, not heated up!

Really great cafe. The only issue is the people behind the counter seem to have differing opinions on how much ice should be in an iced coffee. Usually its great but sometimes they literally fill the entire cup with ice and you end up getting about 4 ounces of coffee out of a 16 ounce cup.

Discovered this cafe as its across the street from my gym. The coffee is first class, always fresh. The baked goods are tasty and the breakfast sandwiches are good, indeed. Ample space to sit and work, and a few tables on the sidewalk.

Their coffee was good. I went there after searching for coffee shops to study or work. However, I had to leave since their wifi stop working within an hour of use. I would not go back again, but again their coffee was good.

This is a very cozy and relaxing coffee shop that has great coffee, good food, and a relaxing, quiet atmosphere. I usually meet here to get work done rather than to just get a cup of coffee, but I find Im quite productive here and theres always seating and WiFi available. I would definitely recommend their lattes and muffins. The sandwiches are good too. But the environment and atmosphere is what will keep bringing me back.

Update post re-opening: The ownership did not change but the interior has been remodeled to a more bright lit, wooden, modern aesthetic. It looks really nice. The coffee here is amazing. The baristas really know what they are doing. Their service is much faster than Starbucks. The location is really soothing, great for relaxing or getting work done. They have really fast internet which is a huge plus.

Definitely a hidden gem. I come here when I need to work on my laptop while in Raleigh. The staff and owner are very friendly. The brews are fresh and they have munchies too.There is plenty of space for group meetings, and if you need to come focus for a few hours and write some articles or something for work, come here instead of the always-crowded Starbucks that are in the area.

My first time here... the service was great! I ordered a large european latte with avocado toast. I had chili flakes sprinkled on the avocado toast to enhance the flavor. You order, sit and they deliver your order to you. Nice place to go solo for a splendid brew.

Ok, my favorite Mexican Restaurant is El Rodeo on Pleasant Valley Road in Raleigh. Many of my friends have spoken highly of this local owned coffee shop in the same shopping center. Now I regularly have lunch at El Rodeo so had not had to opportunity to stop in for coffee. However, I finally made a point of grabbing coffee with a client and was very happy with the experience. As New World has great coffee and these little cookies (to be honest I forgot the name) which were awesome. Now I have to split my time over on Pleasant Valley Road, as I do need to work! But as it turns out, New World was a great place to meet my client too.

Very good coffee that will definitely wake you up. Even better breakfast sandwich (egg and cheese on croissant). I dont know what they do to the egg but consistently might be the fluffiest I have ever had. Support local!

New World Coffee House is a great place to have business meetings. It also would be a great place to go if you need a break from your home office but still need to work. They have comfortable furnishings and decent wifi. Of course, the coffee is excellent. But for a change, you might want to try one of their smoothies. They also have an assortment of food items too to sustain you. A very pleasant and inviting environment.

Id give zero stars. I came into the coffee shop to work remotely and enjoy some good coffee. Unfortunately I received a very urgent call from a multimillion dollar customer. I was approached by the owner to order coffee or get out. I Pulled him aside to explain. I was told over and over it was very simple and he watched us for 45 mins sit in his shop and I had to order coffee because it was a busy day... There were a handful of people there. Honestly he was completely unapologetic and almost happy we were leaving. He claimed to approach everyone in his store loudly like he did us if they didnt buy coffee right away. Which I find hard to believe. If this is his example of a graceful businessman. He has a lot of work to do. Id advise people to spare themselves the theatrics for some mediocre coffee. I ordered a large coffee and left for Starbucks. Mom and pop shops complain we dont support them....horrible customer service is a number one reason.

The girl at the counter pretty much refused any special requests I made, couldn’t add chocolate to my cappuccino? No almond milk either, apparently it won’t steam (which I know it will, I’ve had it at other establishments without issues before) obviously won’t be returning here. I’d rather take the trip to Happy & Hale for my coffees and smoothies from now on.

I had an espresso, drip coffee, and turkey wrap and soup. My wife had an iced coffee, turkey wrap and salad. All the coffee items were great! The food however was not as expected. For a 40 dollar lunch and cold wraps I advise going somewhere else. For only a coffee its super.

Great selection of coffee. Almost felt like I was going to be berated for getting a pour over and asking for room for my cream. It was suggested to me that these are usually only for those who like it black. So what! I like a smidge of cream in all my exotic roast. I am from out of town, and do pour over coffee at home all the time from roasters across the nation. Making a suggestion, as if it is not allowed to have what you want, is why I give this 4 stars.

Ive been visiting weekly for quite a while now, so I figured I should let others know what a great place it is. They have the best espresso drinks that Ive had anywhere in Raleigh. The drip is also very good as they only use the fresh locally roasted beans from counter culture. I would definitely recommend checking them out!

New World has become my go to spot for coffee and food in Raleigh. The owners are more than welcoming and filled with knowledge. I have yet to be recommended something that hasnt been mind blowing. The Food is very very fresh and again far beyond my expectations. YOU WILL NOT REGRET TRYING NEW WORLD!

This place has by far the best quality coffee in Raleigh. Right when you walk in they have this scientific-looking set of glass tubes making cold brew, straight out of Breaking Bad. On top of being friendly, I’m pretty sure the staff went to coffee university or something, as they seem to know everything one could possibly know about coffee. They also have a public-use printer which is extremely convenient.

The acai bowls are very good. Coffee is ok, nothing special. The shop itself is kind of boring and doesnt have that cool coffee shop atmosphere. Not a bad place to go but there are better options in the area.
