I usually try to be positive with my reviews but I have a few complaints about my visit to Krispy Kreme today. First the dining room was closed even though its listed as open and there is even social distancing instructions posted on the door. Since the dining room was closed I was forced to use the drive through which I find to be a struggle on the best of days. Of course the drive through lived up to my expectations with the drive through person being abrupt, continuously interrupting me and being absolutely unhelpful in any way. I have to say the worst part of the experience was finding out they were out of the Oreo special donuts which is the whole reason I went there in the first place. In my opinion if you are going to call something the special donut and promote it all over the place you shouldnt run out of it! So after my overly long battle with drive through person I was able to finally select a dozen donuts and pay for them. I do have to admit the donuts were absolutely delicious and the glazed donuts were hot and perfect! So if you are willing to struggle through the customer service ordeal you will be rewarded with delicious donuts!*9/2/2021 - I’m adding a few pics from recent visits. I stick to my original review. Krispy Kreme is a part of American history. I was born and raised in Central Florida. Every visit to Daytona Beach included a stop for donuts. It was an old store just like the one in Raleigh. Watching the machinery make the donuts fascinated me. “Hot Donuts Now” is code for eat until you’re sick. Their coffee isn’t bad either.

Been going there for years...always exceptional....service and donuts. So many choices. A North Carolina favorite for so many.

The famous Krispy Kreme donuts are delicious, as usual. I felt like they werent quite as fresh as some others Ive had locally. I believe they are not baked on-site at this location. This restuarant was drive through only, which was disappointing, as I would prefer to look at the donuts before ordering. A small inconvenience. Overall, great food that didnt disappoint. Love the classic vibe of this location as well.

Wheelchair accessible. *UPDATED: PLEASE FIX THE TOILET IN THE WOMENS RESTROOM. IT HAS LEAKED ALL OVER THE BATHROOM FOR ALMOST A YEAR. LUCKY NO LAWSUIT HAS HAPPENED BECAUSE SOMEONE CAN SLIP AND FALL.* Line situation has imprpved. Employees were amazing. Service was insane because there was a special. Employees were slammed with orders but still served customers quickly. The place was so busy that the drive thru line was wrapped around the building and into traffic. Employees still handled the rush really well. The only reason I gave a 4 was the bathroom. It was clean but the entire floor was covered in water due to a leaky pipe. Was so dangerous when entering because of there was no warning of a wet floor until a person entered. Everything else was completely awesome.

It would be nice if the frozen mocha machine was working.. Cant grab some doughnuts without a frozen mocha

10/10 will eat way too many of these as often as possible. Its like biting into a magical treat pillow of goodness.

Every time I go to this location, there’s always some sort of issue. The employees usually have bad attitudes. I recall one time the lady at the register literally arguing with me about my order after she got it wrong. The staff are also inconsistent with the vaccinated free donut special. Sometimes they’ll accept a photo of your vaccine card and other times they won’t. Today, there was an issue with their system, and I couldn’t even redeem a free donut coupon from the mobile app. The shop always tends to be out of the specialty donuts. When the drive-thru line is busy, you might be waiting in line for over thirty minutes. The hot light is never on during the scheduled times. The shop is located in a bad area of downtown. On two separate occasions some homeless man came up to my car window and harassed me. Avoid this location at all costs.

Online ordering is a disaster and the staff end up taking the frustrations .. you should be waiting 25 mins after the Ofer cofnrjnstil. Time for a dozen doughnuts

Great experience with my donuts. I knew that these were fresh because you can watch them go in the Cooker its pretty cool how they cook there donuts. I come often get a black coffee or sometimes im in the mood for a sweet coffee so to solve this I get glazed donuts and black coffee (I enjoy sweet coffee more)

The past two times Ive visited, Ive encountered rude young ladies at the drive-thru. While I understand they can have long lines, but if I wait in the long line, I certainly expect to be treated with kindness. After all, without us customers, they wouldnt have a job.

Waited in line to go in and order them they put note on door only drive through service. Not nice.

The raspberry filled are my favorite. Fast service but customer service was sort of lacking when we went in the evening. I wasn’t put off, the cashier just wasn’t chatty or personable. Definitely not something that would keep me from coming back. Some people just aren’t talkative and I get it, especially when there’s a line. Fresh donuts that taste delicious! And it’s cool to see them on the line being glazed.

Love the taste of their doughnuts, wish theyd put more than a teaspoon of jelly in the filled doughnuts. Get the plain glazed, that way youre not paying extra for fillings youre not going to get anyway!

Nice having a donut shop in a residential/walking district of downtown that is drive thru only…. What a waste. Expect ridiculous lines of cars wrapped around the building with people turning the wrong way down the one-way person st.

It was during the day hours and we went by hoping that the sign was on to have hot donuts but it never came on so we finally pulled it and ordered. The donuts were cold but the cream filled and iced ones were very cold and dry. I got these for the nurses at Rex hospital and would not give them to the nurses because I was not satisfied by quality. Took them to my office and that was 2days ago and still have donuts. The lemon filled all most made a couple sick when they tried it. I was disappointed I will go to Goldsboro again but not back to Raliegh.

Possibly the most rude employee ever handled the window in my drive through experience, she then proceeded to not give me the bogo deal that I requested and showed a picture of online. I am an avid Krispy Kreme enjoyer but this was a rude and unpleasant Krispy Kreme.

Amazing donuts and a 24hr drive through at this particular location so you can get your fix even at 3:15am.

All I can say is yum! If you visit between 6am and 10am, the original glazed are fresh off the presses. You havent had a donut until youve tried this one.

Not sure if it was just an off day for the place or not, but the flavored coffee we ordered was extremely disappointing and tasted like it had been burnt. The Reese’s doughnuts did not taste as great either, plus they were out of a lot of the doughnuts and were unable to make there other coffees due to machine being down or no supplies.

Really loved how this Krispy Kreme has the factory in the back. In my first experience, customer service was excellent and the donuts were fresh. However at second time, we went through the drive thru on a friday night. We waited 40 minutes in line and customer service was lacking. Donuts tasted great but I would recommend going at a less busy time.

Service started off great HOWEVER changed in the ordering and checking out process. I repeated my order multiple times and only received part yet they charged the full amount and when I requested the items missing they charged me AGAIN ! So I talk to who seems to be the manager and she is basically stating I’m wrong even w proof of receipts , until another associate comes and states that I was already charged for the items. Then states she can not give me a refund but instead 2 original glazed doughnuts ? Like what ! Last time coming to this location.

My children love this place too but after today . The rudely behaved individual (management) is unacceptable and it was also unnecessary. I want ever go back to this store or any other store. IF this is the new Krispy Kreme Standards . Krispy Kreme should be disgusted, and disgracefully ashamed with this store staff.

I hate to say it but no matter what time of the day or day of the week - service is always unfriendly. The attitude of people working there is not en par with the product they sell. With that being said and how high the mark up is on doughnuts, I’d rather go and make my own doughnuts. Or go to an independent store and spend my dollars there. Ridiculous!

Doughnuts are delicious as always, but my order was not right. My variety dozen had 4 wrong and of course it was the four you dont see in the clear box!

Only store in Wake county doing drive thru. Coming on. Get the right people to work there. You guys can’t have people waiting for 30-40 minutes for a order or a pick up due to the long line.

A line that wraps around the entire building, the lobby is closed. Dont even consider coming here it is a massive waste of time.

@krispykreme your Raleigh, NC Peace Street employees yesterday September 2nd at 430pm, claimed my coupon was expired, they didnt know how to input my phone number (as an alternative method) and refused to give me my Free Birthday Dozen even with the presented coupon which was valid and not expired. The employees also claimed the coupon takes 24 hours to load even though I had the unexpired coupon in hand. I left, with no donuts and proceeded to go another location. (The Knightdale NC location immediately after). Then the Knightdale NC Krispy Kreme location was wonderful and had 0 issues scanning my Birthday Coupon within 5 minutes I was gone with the free dozen. Clearly there is an issue with the Peace Street location employees knowing how to properly scan the coupons OR their system needs to be updated.Either way the Peace Street Krispy Kreme employees didnt care about resolving the issue with me and were rude.

Gone are the days when people would fly to the West coast with boxes of North Carolina Krispy Kreme donuts to share with friends or auction for charity. Now theyre sold in stores and available nationally. But the donuts are still at their best when hot off the assembly line which you can watch while wearing a store hat. Or at this location, use the drive-thru to get a bag of hot donuts to go.

Inside dining closed. Drive thru speed was acceptable. Hot sign was on and donuts hot.

Bad customer service. The staff just randomly screamed at me and my friends and forced us to leave even though we didn’t do anything wrong!

The speaker in the drive-thru is absolutely terrible. You can’t hear anything being said to you. Last time I went to this location, the person taking my order literally yelled at me for misunderstanding what she was saying through the BROKEN speakers. Also, they falsely advertised that you could get ANY flavor donut on free donut day. I was only able to get glazed.

I hope corporate sees this and finally fixes the speaker system in drive-thru. My husband had to repeat himself 4 times at the speaker before they understood what we wanted, get up to the window and we had to repeat it again. Everyone involved remained polite and civil but we were all aggravated in the end. The doughnuts were good, as always, but corporate please do your employees and drive-thru patrons a favor and fix the speaker system!

Who could resist those soft, warm donuts? We went the first weekend after they announced a free donut to those who had already had their COVID vaccination and the place was super crowded. Not so many people walking away with a single donut, though. We were there to reward them for their niceness and we bought a mixed dozen. Maybe well go back for a free one, maybe not. We love you, Krispy Kreme!

No hot doughnuts anymore. The past several times have not been fresh. We went through the drive thru tonight and they only have original glazed doughnuts and they arent fresh.

A hot Krispy Kreme is a religious experience. Today I had church...a dozen times...all to myself! Praise da Lort.

Horrible experience trying to pick up a drive thru order. It was after dark and the menu board was dimly lit. It was also raining so I couldnt hear anyone ask if they could take my order. I get to the window after being in line for nearly an hour and was told I would have to get back in line (which was now even longer) because they absolutely would not take my order for just three donuts at the window. I dont know who told them this is how you get or retain customers but Ill go to Duck Donuts or another competitor from now on.

You already know. When that HOT sign is on you have to stop for a dozen original glaze. These donuts literally melts in your mouth. And if you dont know then you need to stop and find out.

First time there friendly staff and watching how donuts made... I did brought dozen and got me a pumpkin spice glaze donuts, it was not bad..... along with my Pumpkin Spice Frappuccino drink....

Its always disappointing when the pumpkin spice dough out season is over,but they have plenty of other flavors to choose from.

One of the best donut shops to visit! Not just because the donuts are hot and fresh but they still have the old retro neon signs and building. Its fun for small kids to see the donuts being made. My husband did some work here and said he was impressed with how well they take pride in the quality check of their food, and how clean it was inside the restuarant.

I called on the phone to ask if they did the deal for a free donut for each A on your report card, and they said yes they did. Then I went in person with my little brother and they told us they did not do it. So either they lied to me there, or they lied on the phone. Either way, not great service. Also, we bought a dozen and our Bavarian (custard filled) had barely anything inside of them. It was dough until basically the last bite. The donuts were also much smaller than they used to be. Extremely disappointed. We used to come here years ago but since then, their quality and service has gone downhill. Wont be coming to this location again.

Had an online order and the website said that the dine in is open until 11. I show up to the krispy kreme to pick up my order and try to go inside and they say they are doing drivethru only. The drive thru line was 20 cars long and i am waiting in this line for absolutely no reason. I could walk in and pick up my order in no time but i have to wait in this LINE.

Hot glazed are not the same at any other KK location. This place is the shining star.

Oooohhh we caught the red hot sign! Donuts were PERFECT. Customer service, not so much. I was purchasing for a between games -congrats on your win snack for 13 year old boys so I needed 2 dozen. I asked if there were any specials and the clerk gave me a quick no. I pulled up my KK app, used the weekend BOGO (which is a permanent coupon) and saved $11. She could have asked if I had the app. A little disappointed in that. But again, the donuts were PERFECT! Hot, soft, melt in your mouth...

Awful experience. DON’T bother placing a mobile order. 10pm is posted as store closing, but doors are locked and it’s not even 9:30. Was trying to get my order that I already paid for, but was denied by an angry drive thru employee, who yelled at me and said “go thru the drive thru!” When I asked to cancel, she said “I said go thru the drive thru!!” All yelling through the glass door window. WORST experience and definitely will not be back to this location

Everytime I go the hot and fresh light is never on I asked the employees when does it been on and they couldnt even tell me looked it up online and those times were not accurate either so ill be finding a new Krispy kreme
