This Barnes &Noble felt a little dirty compared to the one in our town but the people were super nice. For a weekend, I’m used to more foot traffic but I was glad it wasn’t packed. We had to meet a party at Crabtree so ended up at the book store just for a place to hang out for a bit. I noticed they were missing the trains in the children’s area just as the one in our hometown. I guess COVID stopped all the train playing. It’s sad to see it gone. I did get a chai. I sat in the cafe for a little while just people watching. I could hear a lady getting trained on how to run the cafe properly and how to follow standards. One couple seemed to be on their first “date”. I love listening to people and watching.

I could always get lost in a bookstore for days...This one is no different. Friendly, caring & helpful staff always a plus. I was extremely pleased with my shopping experience here.

Beautiful bookstore with a great coffee shop and wonderful ambience. It was nice to be back there and see it so bustling. They have a great kids section definitely bring your kids here, and I also had some great specials on books. We will definitely be back

If you’re like me, these type of stores can be overwhelming with so much to see. I found the staff extremely helpful and I always find what I am looking for (or get recommendations for where to find books they do not have). As an expectant mom, I really appreciate their diverse children’s book selection and I look forward to continue expanding my selection.

Excellent selection of personal finance books. Always clean and organized with the most helpful staff on hand. The other visit I witnessed a kind Asian barista asking an elderly Hispanic customer sitting at a table if he needed any water, then when he couldn’t respond back in English, she proceeded to ask and talk to him entirely in Spanish. Very heartwarming moment. I highly recommend B&N Crabtree for your bookstore endeavors!

I bought a white mocha drink there at the Starbucks and the girl employee was so sweet! The drink was so deliciously refreshing! Five star rating indeed! 👍❤😋

Very nice employees and a very nice layout with a good atmosphere! The only thing that I could say was less positive was that the bathrooms were not very clean.

Good selection of books, but in a very busy area, especially right next to the mall. This store remodeled recently, so it can be tricky to find books now if you’re used to the previous layout. A couple problems I’ve encountered after these years- Recently I’ve been looking for a particular philosophy book, and the bookseller searched their system to find they did have 1 in stock. The book was nowhere to be found; I asked about 2 weeks later and still not in the right area. I also had an unpleasant customer service experience where the cashier did not even greet me and did not offer me a bag for my purchase. I will continue to shop here because it’s the closest location to me.

I like to shop for books so this is my favorite store. The man that helped us was very kind and informative. I got a membership card ( the many times I have shopped at Barnes and Noble I was never offered one) and it has proven useful.

It was not easy to navigate the page to find their career offerings page. Nor was the career website set up in a user-friendly manner. As for B&N stores themselves, they’re always amazing. I could spend hours upon hours simply browsing.

Great selection and friendly staff

The store itself is a comfortable place to be in. I love the poetry books. I wish there was more poetry books in this place but sadly there’s not. Most of the staff were very much nice. But my overall experience at checkout was not pleasant. This is the second time it has happened. I got this cashier named Camela K and she was rude. Her attitude was not acceptable towards my friend and I. Honestly it made me feel uncomfortable the way she was directing her attitude towards us. And like I said before this is not the first time I have gotten her. I got her as a cashier in July as well but shook it off. But this time it just really got me mad because my friend and I were being nice and for her to just give us that type of service is unacceptable. My friend didn’t get a bag and she purchased four books, and when she asked for a bag she got this whole attitude and started giving excuses like “we don’t have enough bags sorry you’ll just have to carry it.” And when we had just gotten there she didn’t even say a word so just right off the bat she was plain rude. I came here for the purpose of finding poetry books but I think it’s the last time I’ll be coming here.

Went in for 2 books. Went to the area where said books used to be. Was saddened to see they were not. Asked someone for assistance and the led me straight to the books. The author had moved to the adult area. The person that helped us was extremely nice, very knowledgeable about where the books were located, and dropped everything to help us. Great service.

I like Barnes & Noble for a lot of reasons. Its a wonderful meeting place for a first date (done that), excellent books (duh!), great cafe (got coupon for $10 off Cheesecake Factory cheesecake [mix and match]), great customer service (recognized me even w my COVID mask), extremely helpful if something goes wrong w a purchase (like missing 30 pages from a book I finally got around to reading - replaced no questions asked), and great in-house events (meet the author!).Whenever I want something to do to hang out after work and regain my sanity or need a gift Barnes & Noble meets my needs!

Amazing variety of books. Love shopping for books there. They have books for teens, little kids, board games,fiction, non fiction, staff is very helpful in making sure you find everything okay. They have their own little cafe inside the library, very relaxing to read, do homework,work, etc.

I enjoy browsing around Barnes & Noble checking out the half price sales for Holiday items. And discovering what new fun things they have in the childrens section. I had a gift card with a balance that I hadnt used in two or three years I wasnt sure it would work and the clerk said they never run out so that was nice I saved $4

Per usual Barnes and Nobles offers a comfortable atmosphere 2 browse titles they have a extensive selection, pretty much anything you could be interested in and if they do not carry it in the store they can get it for you! All experiences that I have had with this stores employees have all been wonderful and informative.

Placed an order online for pickup and it was ready within the hour! Lines are well spaced and overall had a positive experience.

I came here because I wanted to study. I wanted to get out of the house we have a cup of coffee do something that I dont normally do. This Barnes and Nobles definitely serve the purpose. I was around some pretty outgoing people customers and workers. The environment was very relaxed so I can get my studying done. I enjoy places like this. I wish there were more seats so we can truly sit down and just read and study and enjoy or more regular basis. But overall my visits here have been great. I appreciate it.

Located right next to the crabtree mall, this Barnes & Noble branch is my favorite book store in NC. I always get a slice of chocolate cheesecake along with a cup of hot tea, while reading through freshly purchased new magazines. The smell of new book and ambiance easily makes me a happy man to spend a day-time here.

I usually shop at used bookstores or family owned bookstores, but I still enjoy going to Barnes & Noble. The book selection at this location is pretty good. I wish they had more titles in Spanish. They have a good selection of graphic novels. There is a Starbucks inside the store. A lot of people hang out here while their families go shopping at the mall.

I was really impressed with this bookstore. It was a good looking store, well organized, well marked and with well separated sections. The bathrooms were clean. The staff was super nice and helpful. The in-store cafe was a full service Starbucks instead of a limited, trimmed down version. Overall it was a very nice shopping experience.

This location has the weakest selection of art or design related books/magazines in the triangle but its location is convenient. While thats disappointing, my biggest issue my last visit was how their business section was organized. It was not alphabetical and the categories werent conducive to finding a specific book; in this case, by Seth Godin. Left without it but did stumble upon other good finds in the process. Also, I wish they would stop offering me a buy 1 get 1 cookie. Id much rather get a coupon.

I love this Barnes and Noble and have only encountered friendly staff until today. I made my usual stop to pick up a few books right before closing like I always do and as I was checking out an older woman came to the counter and asked if she had time to use the restroom. Elizabeth told the woman no and that they had to close. Which was true but the woman still had three minutes before closing. This, in my opinion, was unacceptable customer service. You have a public restroom and a regular pateon. It wouldnt have hurt to allowed her to use the restroom. Another thing that I noticed Elizabeth do was lock all the door before checking if there was anyone still in the store. There was a young man who is there quite often to paint in a quiet space. He had his arms laden with supplies and since the doors were locked he had no way of exiting the building. Again, not great customer service and also a fire code violation. As I stated before, never had an issue with the staff of this Barnes and Noble but the way Elizabeth was treating the pateons of Barnes and Noble tonight has made me believe Im better off ordering my books online.

I love this location, ESPECIALLY the Starbucks cafe! I go out of my way to get coffee there because they do a wonderful job every time and have really great customer service. Most other Starbucks are not consistent with the way their lattes taste, but this place is always consistent! The staff are very friendly and create a nice environment for customers.

Loved the store! Purchased a Bruce Cameron book for my brother and a journal for myself. The staff were friendly and helpful. Watched a kind bookseller help a child find a book he wanted and listened to him talk about it without interrupting or acting impatient. I thought that it was so sweet and such a good way to promote reading among children, by offering positive early experiences with books. Awesome selection and laid back atmosphere, quiet enough to read and study in as well. Would recommend.

This is one of there smaller stores, so selections are a little limited. If looking for current best sellers, childrens books, and current fictional works, you should be safe. Otherwise, you are still better off visiting the larger store up the street at Briar Creek.

I hadnt been to a Barnes and Nobles where there was only one floor before. At least there was only one floor as far as I could tell. If it wasnt, oh well. I still felt like this was a cozy place. I dont usually think that about Barnes and nobles. There used to be a different chain bookstore that I cant remember the name of in Richmond that this place reminds me of near the used to be circuit city on broad st near innsbrook and golden corral. That place felt like this place. Its not attached to the mall. I think that has something to do with it. You probably wont have as good of an experience there as I did today and I probably wont either in the future. But to put it in other words your mileage may vary (ymmv). Kinda like my truck. If you were to drive it, it wouldnt get 27 mpg. I dont even think it gets that when I drive it. It is probably more around 22 mpg on average and 24 to 26 when you drive it conservatively. Gotta save that gas peeps. Yknow this started as a review of my local Barnes and nobles(of which there are 3) but now I find myself lost in memories and reveries here on Google maps. Ymmv. I think that I find this more entertaining than, maybe, I ought to. I really like the word ought. You can say ought with your mouth entirely open. If you say it with a British accent it comes out without even using the front of your tongue. Its actually a good way to isolate the sounds that you can make in the English phonetic vocabulary. I hadnt thought of that til now. Maybe thats why its satisfying. Ymmv. Glenwood is a really long road. Its also a state route. You wouldnt that if you had only gone to Glenwood south. Another point to make is that calling it Glenwood south when in actuality that area is in the north west of the city (highlighted by the fact that north st and west St actually intersect there) is rather confusing. I always thought that maybe there was an area of the city I didnt know. Glenwood ends at Morgan though so, In relationship to the center of the city Glenwood doesnt even have a south section. But ymmv. You might understand that Glenwood continues far more to the northwest of the city than most other roads. And you might also find that its a pleasant drive down. Leading you back to the Barnes and nobles that came here to read about. But ymmv.

While I visited Raleigh NC Barnes &Nobles has a Starbucks in there that I frequently visited. I do shop for books in Texas. They have always had the book I want.

Always a great place to pick up the latest and greatest books....they have a coffee shop which is why I go but the kids love looking around at all the Antiques lol. Get them away from the electronics!!

One of my favorite places ever! New books are always ready to buy and anything that isnt in stock can be ordered and shipped to the store easily!
