Pretty terrible experience. Got my first tattoo here and the guy did nothing different from the pictures I showed him. He also ended up tattooing the wrong numbers on me. Partly my fault because I should have caught it but it looked correct in the mirror and I was a bit nervous. Numbers were suppose to be 0505 and turned out 5050. I told him 3 times 0505. Also was overpriced. This happened Dec 2019 but I have been meaning to leave this review.Just got a second tattoo at a different shop and my experience was 10x better. They customized the tattoo and did not just directly copy a photo. Did not feel rushed and the cost was much cheaper even though it was a larger/more detail tattoo.

Quick, professional, clean, fair pricing. They were able to explain everything to me clearly, both while I was getting my piercings and then how to take of them afterward. Ive never been to a place like this before and they were really welcoming and thorough. They took great care of me, Id recommend them to anyone looking to get a piercing! Also theres lots of parking.

I saw Shaun to get a massive leg piece done. He did a fantastic job at a reasonable price and made sure I was comfortable through the whole experience. The shop is clean and comfortable, and has some really cool artwork to look at while you’re there. I would recommend going here for whatever tattoo or piercing you want. They have several artists and piercers to choose from, depending on what style you want.

I got upper lobe piercings on both sides as well as a double helix piercing on my left side last Thursday. Ashley did my piercings. Ive gotten pierced before, so I knew what to expect, but getting four piercings at once did make me a little uneasy. Ashley made the process extremely easy and answered all my questions. During the actual piercings, she helped me feel calm by explaining what she was doing. Getting all four piercings was quick and barely painful.As for the COVID-19 precautions, I wasnt uncomfortable wearing a mask while getting pierced.Definitely recommend! I love my piercings! I got my septum done with Duncan and I am in love. It was quick, easy and relatively painless. He was super nice in explaining the process and answering my stupid question. Would definitely recommend for a piercing.

I went there to get my first tattoo. The tattoo I received is only the size of a quarter and they charged me $100 and they did not do a good job. The tattoo was not filled in all the way & they refused to fix it for free even though it was supposed to be filled in all the way the first time. They are extremely over priced. I have gone to several other tattoo places and I can say that blue flame over charges for their piercings and tattoos, especially for the quality. For example, last week I had three tattoos done all at once, all about 2 inches in size & for all three they charged me $120 when blue flame charged me $100 for a tattoo half the size. Everyone who works at blue flame is nice & welcoming but if I were you, I would explore other options & get other quotes before settling on blue flame.

Really awesome experience. AJ drew up my tattoo really quickly without an appointment, he was super accommodating and an awesome artist. He did my two brothers and my tattoo quickly but did an amazing job. He had awesome suggestions. Really good guy. I would highly recommend him.

I came here to blue flame tattoo and showed them the first pic as the tattoo i wanted and said i wanted it on the top of my foot and the guy was very rude to me. 1. He told me that it would take hrs to draw up...Keep in mind I came almost 3 hrs before they closed. 2. He told me thank couldnt get the tattoo where I wanted it (top of foot) bc he couldnt make the wrighting that small. So I left cause he pissed me off and found someone else to go to...warlocks tattoo. I came in 2 hrs before they closed and i showed them what I wanted they guy said I could absolutely get it on my foot he drew it up and got it done(2nd pic) and he did tattoo in about 45 mins. I def do not suggest this place to anyone. If u want friendly ppl and a happy place that does great job go to warlocks.

Its always great going there! I had to stop by for a small emergency (after finishing my shift today, I noticed I lost my belly piercing somehow) and I got it replaced in no time! Staff is always friendly and knowledgable and the shop is always very clean with very reasonable prices for the work/service. Even for my quick replacement, the room and everything was sterilized before I was put back to have the staff put it in for me, so you are always in good hands here!

Joe Almquist is amazing at what he does and I honestly dont think I could get a Tattoo from anyone else! He has always been professional, accommodating, and kind. The shop is clean, the staff is polite, and it is located smack dab in the middle of a lot of good establishments so you can make a day trip out of getting a tattoo if you like!

I walked into Blue Flame for the first time on Saturday and was helped immediately! Everyone was incredibly nice and helpful. Greg De Hoot did my tattoo and drew it up several times to make sure I got exactly what I wanted. He was kind, personable and most importantly, an incredible artist. He did an awesome job. The rest of my tattoos will be done exclusively by Greg.

I got my cartilage piercing removed ( not pierced by blue flame ) and it felt great. I went to the lucky duck tattoo shop in Texas and it was poorly done . The girl who pierced it was nice . But she was kinda doubting herself and that’s when another piercer stepped in to help me. Anyways it has been six months and i thought it would’ve healed but has only gotten worse. I called blue flame prior to coming and the girl who answered the phone was really nice and got Duncan to help me out! Once my ear heals or I just want to get something done I’ll go to Blue flame!!

Walked in today to schedule an appointment and they were able to fit me in right away. I wasnt expecting to be able to get a walk in but really appreciated that they offered that if they had the time! I wanted sort of a combination of two inspiration images and they drafted it up very quickly for me. I wish I had got her name, but the blonde woman at the front desk was super helpful coordinating everything. Kevin did my tattoo and did a fantastic job. Im over the moon with the result. Loved the location, interior and people here. Will definitely be back. And soon :-)

I went in yesterday for my first tattoo. Saw Scott Alvarez. He was incredibly patient, talked to me throughout. It was a GREAT experience.The shop is clean and tastefully decorated. Each artist has his own room. Its a great environment.Mr. Alvarez drew a custom design between my initial visit, when I met him, and the time of my appointment. He nailed the artwork. Exactly what I asked for. I was and am delighted.He was highly recommended by guys in my gym. He did a lot of their work & it looks super.Im going back in two weeks for more work. Im no longer nervous because I know Im in very capable hands that I can completely trust.

Went today to get my nose pierced with my roommate. I wish I got the piercers name because he is great. He explained the process, what to expect, decided on placement based on whether or not I would want a ring later rather than a stud. The transparency and through way it was done was a comfort.

Got a tattoo here for my birthday today- Clare at the front was very friendly and respectful, using they/them pronouns for me and Nate the Great was fantastic. He explained everything thoroughly from start to finish, was patient and pleasant. Very sanitary place, very comfortable lounge and professional staff. Terrific experience! Great place to get tattooed! Ray has tattooed me at least 8 times and I couldnt be happier. Friends and family have been tattooed by Christy and Shaun and I can vouch that their work is A1. Ive never had any problems with service and scheduling an appointment is easy, just walk in and set it up. Pricing is good you get what you pay for at Blue Flame.

I just got my nose pierced here and the staff was so nice! I was a total wreck and I was really nervous but the woman who did it did an amazing job! She coached me through how to breathe and went she pierced it, it didnt really hurt. I know people who have gotten tattoos here too and they all loved the experience so much. Ill for sure be going back for more piercings and maybe a tattoo or two!

I got my very first tattoo at Blue Flame and the whole experience could not have gone better! I was greeted by Trent at the front desk and he answered all my questions patiently. Nate, my tattoo artist, put so much thought and effort into my design even though it was a tiny tattoo and not as elaborate and intricate like most of his work usually is. Im super happy with how everything turned out. I will 100% go back to Blue Flame in the future for any tattoos or piercings and highly recommend everyone else do the same because you will not be disappointed. :)

I will never go back to this shop again. The receptionist treated me as if I was speaking a foreign language. I felt she was trying to discourage me from even getting the tattoo. AND I felt as though she was just trying to rush me along(I was the only person in line). The tattooist acted as if he couldnt draw and didnt have time to be bothered as well. I came in this shop ready to get a tattoo on the spot! The way I was treated and the vibes I got was just B A D!! Sad thing is Ive gotten a tattoo from this shop before. I guess there has been a change in management and staff. Needless to say I went to another shop and got my very simple tattoo.

I had Jet as my artist and he was amazing. He is kind, friendly, funny, and made the whole experience very comfortable. My tattoo took about 2 hours to complete, but he constantly checked up on me to make sure I was doing okay. The work he did was amazing and I am so excited to show off my tattoo. Everyone in the shop was very kind and willing to help you out. I will most definitely be returning to Blue Flame if I get any more tattoos.

Yes, they are stern on the phone. It probably has to do with their clientele. I called three times and finally went down there (as they had suggested). I didn’t really know what I wanted but I had ideas. They helped me (both the front desk guy and the tattoo artist-Scott) and my friend. They accommodated both us us in a timely manner as walk-ins and were polite and informative as to wait times etc. they gave me helpful advice about what to pick and where and how long it would last. I even changed my mind at the last minute and Scott was patient. The place is extremely clean and professional staff—for a tattoo parlor. My tattoo turned out extremely well (first one), it was not very painful and I am overall extremely satisfied with the experience. I will go back when I’m ready for another one.

This shop has high standards and skilled artists. I had a tattoo done by Scott and I was extremely pleased with the experience and with the outcome. He was super chill, friendly and talented. I came in with a draft of a design and he redrew it to look awesome. The linework on the final product is impeccable.

After 5 years of considering my first tattoo, I decided to get it done this year at Blue Flame after recommendations from several friends and coworkers. I decided on Shaun after looking at his instagram (and also reviews from friends). He has a great creative eye. I would recommend him to anyone who is nervous about getting a tattoo. He made me feel comfortable through the whole 3 hour process. He also has great conversation to keep your mind off the pain. I cant say enough good things about my experience.Tips: Read their website as they do not take walk-in appointments. I didnt realize that until I entered and they set me up an initial consultation with Shaun about 2 weeks later. Then my actual appointment was 4 months after that. Shaun is probably very popular so dont be surprised if he books out very far.

Duncan is THE BEST for (cartilage) piercings! Knowledgeable and no-nonsense, Duncan will give an expert opinion about placement and all the care instructions to ensure a healthy and long-lasting piercing that youll be proud of! I have two healthy puncture wounds from him and took my BFF there too for her next ear piercing. He set her mind at ease before and during, and she is so pleased as well. FOUR thumbs-up. The place is medical clinic-clean, the variety of studs and rings is amazing, and the staff is professional and courteous.

Ashley one of the two piercers was very nice and calming and made my daughter feel very comfortable while she was there to get multiple piercings. She worked with her to make sure the location of the piercing was where she wanted it and overall we had a great experience.

Went in for the outline of my tattoo yesterday and had a great time. The atmosphere is clean and inviting. I’ve gotten two of my tattoos done here (both by Joe) and had great experiences with him. He’s extremely talented and made me feel really comfortable. We chatted the whole time and he did a great job of explaining what he was working on during my sessions.However, front desk staff is not great. They do more intimidating and turning people away that attempting to help and guide. Both times I went in for the tattoos I have, front desk has told me things that either made me feel intimidated or unworthy. First tattoo the front desk person said would be $300+ for 3 words and they said they “really strongly wouldn’t advise that because of the font”.... it ended up being $90 and four years later still looks fantastic. Kindof ridiculous. Walked in today just for a consultation and was told the line work I wanted would be “really really expensive like $400 and hard to do”. And I was like “great. I want this on my body for the rest of my life. Can I talk to a tattoo artist about it at some point today to get their opionion?” And was told that no I could not. Only time for me to get a consultation is during the week days.... honestly it just rubbed me the wrong way. Will likely try another shop in the area instead.

Went for a tattoo on 9/4... it was a quote on my ribs, first tattoo, hard location with very fine lettering. Needless to say, it looks beautiful. Nate was the artist he was very nice and was careful due to the fine lettering. Definitely will go back, the price was fair, $100.

However, I realize the environment might lend itself to a looser vibe than other public places. Ive been getting tattooed by Erroll and Blue Flame artists for nearly 30 years. Cave man antics are nothing new.

I have had Ray do two tattoos for me and they are stunning. I had an idea of what I wanted, but I was new to this. He came up with drawings that were EXACTLY what I wanted and couldnt describe.He was patient with me both times and always made sure I was okay.Everyone that has seen mine, compliment them.I HIGHLY recommend them. Facility is clean and staff is friendly.

Listen, this is a real tattoo parlor and some of you simply southern girls that expect everything to look like fixer upper need to shut up. this is my favorite place for tattoos and piercings, 10/10 great service and the people here are sanitary and know what theyre doing. a lot of the people saying that the people ignored them or it was xyz, listen these people have jobs and things to do and if you want to be waited on hand and foot maybe tattoo shops arent for you. go to blue flame because theyre legit and actually care about their work.

If I could give no stars I would. My Husband and I went for our rather simple tattoos and were greeted by a man who was unbelievably rude and snarky. He belittled my Husband when he asked for suggestions on lettering and I was told I would need to make a consultation and appointment for mine. We do not live in town so getting back at a later date was not an option and the website says they do not take over the phone appointments. On the way out the door the man made a comment about not walking in for what he considered in-depth tattoos in the middle of the work day. They had only been open 2 hours. My 1st tattoo was from Blue Flame when it was still on Hillsborough St and its clear that after making it in a few tattoo magazines they dont care about customer service. We will be going elsewhere and if asked will not recommend this shop to anyone.

Do NOT allow the negative comments to deter you from this shop! The artists at Blue Flame are professionals with years of experience. If an idea of yours was turned around or they gave you a suggestion it was probably because they didnt want you to end up with bad work. A tattoo may look perfect in your mind, but when permanetly inked onto your skin end up looking disproportionate or crowded. Also try to imagine the amount of people who make appointments at tattoo shops and dont show up. A two hour session may be a quarter of an artists day...completely wasted. They have bills to pay too. It may be inconvenient to wait a few days on an appointment but the work you will get at this shop is well with it. I have almost a quarter of my body tattooed by Scott Alvarez. He did a custom drawing of a dragon for me and absolutely nailed it, I literally had tears in my eyes because he captured everything I wanted in a piece that was very special to me. To this day my tattoo gets more compliments than I do! The artists at Blue Flame produce quality work that lasts. Theyre an honest group of awesome people with immense talent!

Went in for a piercing... the studio was very clean, and the staff was personable. Ashley was super helpful and patient; overall, I felt that I was in very competent hands!

My husband and I went in to be told to sit to look at books and we saw people leaving having been served. We looked at pics and went up to the counter with our inspiration pics. It was printed out and shown to an available artist who shook his head no outside while on his cigarette break. The clerk then came back in to tell us that we could schedule a consult for our tattoo but needed to look at other designs and an available artist could speak with us next week. 2 young ladies came in while we were standing there and within 5 minutes she asked for service, presented a pic of her large rose tattoo and was seated for service in an hour. We were disregarded and I would not recommend for lack of quality customer service.

Yesterday, I had my first tattoo done by Nate at Blue Flame. Everyone I encountered was friendly and professional. I was nervous, but Nate was kind and funny and he put me at ease right away. I had a simple script tattoo of my late mothers handwriting on my wrist. I absolutely love it! If/when Im ready for my next tattoo, I will return to Nate at Blue Flame.

Okay, dont get me wrong. Blue Flame has some great talent.However, I dont think their business practices are ethical. A couple of years ago, I bought $300 worth of gift certificates for my fiance who was getting a sleeve done by one of their artists. (Keep in mind the gift certificates have NO expiration date on them.) He just happened to be one of their most popular artists, so making an appointment was almost impossible. And just our luck, he has his own shop now and is no longer at Blue Flame. Blue Flame told me they would not honor the gift certificates now because they were more than a year old. I was NEVER told there was a deadline on these and there is no written expiration date anywhere. They have $300 of my money for services NEVER rendered.
