I visited this dealership for a tire repair because my Toyota is brand new (with 2,300 miles) and I was hoping it would be covered under warranty. Previous poor experiences with the service department at Shottenkirk Toyota of Quincy caused me to purchase my new vehicle elsewhere. I was told the tire repair would be $25 since the vehicle was not purchased there. I okayed this service but was later told that the tire was beyond repair and quoted $250 for a new tire. I took the vehicle for a second opinion at an experienced & reputable local tire dealer and was patched and on my way for $20 (there was a nail in the tread of the tire - they used a regular patch). This reaffirmed my previous experiences of being overquoted with unnecessary services and I will not ever be back to this dealership. I wanted to share my experience so others recognize they should get a second opinion if it doesnt seem correct.
