Good service, reasonable prices

Picked up a nice pair of shoes on sale so the price was good.There was a young man working the front counter and greeting new arrivals with a Hello, how are you doing today? Not one person responded in kind. Sad really. So I raise my glass to you, Mr. Front counter worker and people greeter. You deserve it!

Big 5 on South Hill is a great add as a source for sporting gear. I find their selection and prices a very attractive alternative to long drives to the larger sporting good stores.

Every single year we try to buy my sons football cleats from this location. Doesnt matter what time of the year they have never once had his size. We always have to go to another sporting goods store farther away from our house.

Looking for an old-timer knife, three blade and sharpener. Yall didnt have it, but, you did sell me a buck three blade so it was worth going in. If they dont have it theyll find it.

The staff/cashier was the most rude Ive ever experienced in retail. I will never shop at a Big 5 again. You would think since no one was in the store, they may have been more helpful.

Prior to visiting this big 5 store we called to check if they had an item in stock and were told they did. as soon as me and my family came in to the store and asked the employees for help and had to wait 30 minutes as we watched a few other customers being helped. not only that but the item we called for was not in stock. horrible customer service. would not recommend.

Very good help at this store found a inertube raft / Track ball and frisbee for my dog .hell ya .40 bucks for all.

Often I look forward in finding decent stuff here, & generally am not let down. Selection for the most part is good. Great if you want footwear.This store brand is more of the popular items, but you can find some harder to find items, just not the obscure.I dont want to hear you can order it duh, I can get some great, obscure stuff, on-line- from anyone. I went here, the day after Chritmas, & they had most of what I was looking for. Thats pretty darned good.

I was simply amazed at the service. As I was being shown a half dozen selections of work boots my salesperson also assisted others. One of whom was having a rough day due to some osteo symptoms which caused her pain. The salesperson, who I will name Zoe-Zoe, (which is close) was simply outstanding in assisting her. And followed up by making sure she made it safely to her vehicle and had directions to her destination. And at the same time gave quality guidance to myself and others in our show selections. Five stars plus!

They had a pickleball racket that nobody else had! So glad I found it there. The store is full of great merchandise.

Loved the selection and the pricing. Compared to other chain sports stores in the area, Big 5 had them beat hands down. I got a pair of baseball cleats and pants for my 13 yr old for less than what just the cleats cost at other places. Went back the next day for my 12 yr old too.

First visit to Big 5 Sporting Goods in a long time. The mailer coupon for $10 off 25 or more is what brought me in. I first visited the store in Puyallup looking for a new pair of tennis shoes. The sales person was helpful and when we found out my my size was not available he offered to call additional stores for me. The shoes were located at the Lacey location and he had them put on hold for my pick up later in the day. I also purchased to the sale shirts for working out they were reasonably priced and fit perfectly. Both stores were well lit clean and organized. The staff was professional and helpful and greeted me as soon as I came into the store. Much different than the Big 5 Sporting Goods I remember from when my children were young, I remember them being disorganized and a bit cluttered and the staff was not near as pleasant to deal with as what they were this time. I Look forward to shopping a Big 5 in either location again in the near future.

Went in for sale item. The guys were helpful even as I enterd the store. I found what I was looking for and went to browse at knives in showcase and salesman had no problem getting it out to show me. I asked for one in the box and with Managers help got one for me and the bought it. At the register, Salesman even provided a $10.00 off Coupon. Great products, service, and prices, Thankyou Big5.

Worst customer service I have ever experienced. Went in to buy sunglasses and the 2 working just stood and talked. I walked up to the counter and asked if I could see them, he said yes and walked away. Apparently he was on BREAK!! I finally walked out. I will NEVER SHOP there again. I will go to Federal Way or Tacoma if I need anything. I know there are a lot more stores around that will take my money. Maybe they should train the employees about what their jobs are. They dont get paid to stand around and chit chat.

I had bought work shoes back in September, after many disappointing purchases at Walmart, hoping for much better quality in a work shoe.4 months later this Lugz work shoe I bought from you, began cracking in the sole and started separating from the upper part, causing water to leak inside.On February 14th, evening around 8 pm, I took them back to your store to see if anything could be done. I expected these shoes to last longer than 4 or 5 months. I asked for a manager. Immediately a young lady said she could help me, asked what I would like done and I said possibly an exchange. With no questions asked, only seeing my cracked shoes, she asked for my receipt, and said shed do the exchange. She did this right away after dropping whatever she was doing and let me put my new shoes on, including the dry socks I brought with me right there in the store. I didnt get her name, but I think she had long blonde hair. I was made a happy life long customer of Big 5 at this location that night. If only all retail stores were as professional and willing to back up their products as this store is! Please thank her again for me.
